I'm trying to use server side includes in a PHP website but am getting the error open_basedir restriction in effect.
I've tried going in to the PHP Settings for the website and have selected the predefined option
{DOCROOT}{/}{:}{TMP}{/}
Which as I understand it should allow access to all files within my httpdocs folder but I still get the error:

The thing is I know 100% that the file it's having a problem with is in a subfolder of the

I've installed the Plesk Panel onto a windows 2008 server. It's all good, web sites are flowing and I'm really happy with the software. The issue I'm having is a customer has an asp site with an access database. After I uploaded their site, they couldn't write to the database, so I had to manually go and set the permission on the database for the "Plesk IIS Anonymous Account (IUSR_xxx)" user to have modify access on the file.
So my question is this, how can I set up the default hosting account to already allow this and so I don't have to go an waste time tweaking the folders manually trying to find the right permissions?
Also, why is it the Plesk IIS Anonymous account that needed to have it's permissions tweaked and not the "Default Plesk application pool user (IWAM_plesk(default))" which is the user who's configured on the application pool in IIS? I can't see where the Plesk IIS Anon user is being used.

Migrating existing IIS websites into Plesk we are creating new clean websites and then copying the existing code across into the httpdocs directory.
Should we leave all the documents and file structures created by Plesk in place when we do this OR should we delete everything in the httpdocs directory and copy our code into here?
My one website & all it's sub-domains automatically showing Plesk Default Page . After checking further, I found websites were stopped on the server . I manually started them but after few hours again same status . I repeated the same thing several times but issue not fixed.

I've checked the IUSR, IWPD permissions and they are correct. and check the authentication modules and level in IIS and they seems to be correct.

I have a Windows VPS with Plesk panel. Windows Server 2008 R2 with plesk panel version 11.5.30.
I tried to change the default plesk panel port (8443) to eg (1234) without any success.
The steps i followed are the following:
1) Firewall -> Inbound rule -> allow for port 1234
2) Firewall, Disable inbound rule for port 8443
3) IIS, PleskControlPanel, Bindings: changed binding from 8443 to 1234.
Now i type on browser: [URL] .... and while its loading after some seconds redirects me to [URL] ...

Note: Recently migrated from Plesk 9.2
Trying to set Default Site for a Dedicated IP Address.
I go to Subscription, then to domain > Change Hosting Settings, select dedicated IP address and OK, works fine. Site goes to Default Plesk Page.
Go to Tools & Settings, IP Addresses > Select the dedicated IP address I set above. Change Default Site to site above. Click Ok.
I get the error message above and nothing changes.
I looked on my IIS Server and MailEnable's Webmail is installed under the Default Website.
I have another Dedicated IP on this server and it has a default site on it working properly, but it was set up on the old site and it was configured as part of the Migration using Migration Manager.
I tried deleting the IP address and adding it back in. That didn't change anything. I also tried running: "%plesk_bin%websrvmng.exe" –reconfigure-webmail since that came up under someone else's issue when searching the web and that .exe is what's throwing the error.
How can I configure "Backup manager" to clear checkbox "During the backup process, website visitors will be redirected to the custom error document page with the search engine friendly 503 HTTP code" for default (for subscribers, customers, etc.)

I used 4.2.2.1-3 on my servers now.
For the last several days on one of our dedicated servers, a AMD 3000+ 2GB RAM 2x80GB HDD 5TB traffic installed with CentOS 5.3 64-bit w/a GNU Linux kernel-2.6.18-128.1.10.el5, we use as a 'backup' to our master, we've been having resolver issues. If we attempt to ping, dig or nslookup ANY hostname, we get "unknown host domainexample.com". We can, however, ping IP addresses, including the external one for the server. (Pinging the server from another, not connected to the network returns 0% packet loss.)
Our package managers can't resolve hostnames, either. For instance, when we try to run yum, we get:
"Could not retrieve reponamehere [url]
[Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error (-2, 'Name or service not known')>
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: reponamehere"
We've already tried disabling several repos and it should be noted that when we use "wget" or "git" or any other package installer, we have the same resolving issues.
Our "/etc/resolv.conf" contains nameservers for the major upstream DC to our provider, which gave us permission to use them. We've tried two sets from them as well as those from our provider and from a DNS service provider. None have worked. (BTW, We have two servers with this provider and the other one is fine; the provider, though this is an unmanaged sever, is attempting to be very helpful and responsive. No problems there.)
We've tried rebooting the server and flushing IPtables as well as stopping it altogether. (Thankfully, we've set our DNS, SQL and httpd servers to run on boot) Nothing seems to resolve the issue (no pun intended).
However, we think this problem may have to do with having installed Suhosin on the server this past weekend since it seems to have started shortly after that but we're not sure. We are getting the following errors in from our httpd logs, though:

When we ran 'tcpdump', all it returned was the IP address for the server connected on several ports via SSH. Running 'netstat -an' shows the server's IP address, again connected on different ports, and the localhost address connected on a few. No other IP addresses--and we have about 10--are showing as connected.
Anyway, this is all we've been able to figure out. Anyone had this problem and solved it successfully?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI created a (dv) account with Media Temple and my starting domain name becomes my name servers... Now they setup on there DNS server a reverse lookup for mydomain.com, but not for any of the domain names which go under it.
They won't setup a reverse lookup for any of your sub domains, unless they have a dedicated IP address, which costs $1.00 per month per IP address.
So what this means is say one of your sub-domains sends an email to myclient.com and it so happens that myclient.com like many other domains does a reverse lookup on incoming emails to verify its not spam, but since the reverse lookup doesn't exist, your sub domain gets an error message saying the email can't be delivered.

My problem is as such.
- Have installed Coldfusion 5.0 on a Windows 2003 Server and have configured the part on the Web service extensions.
- One of the coldfusion program/application that is needed to be migrated from another server which is running Windows 2000.
- Encountered problem such as the datetime that is passed to the application when clients view on their workstations is different.
- My program take in dd/MM/yyyy but however it seems like the server is always default to M/d/yyyy or MM/dd/yyyy.
So, how can i change the default setting so that it will apply to the user account IUSR or across all accounts that is used on the server?
Our new data center provided us with a Cisco ASA5510 firewall. We're setting up all new servers and will begin migrating all of our domains from our current co-lo to the new place.
At the old co-lo, they provided us a very basic BSD based router, and our servers all had external public facing IPs on them. Firewalling was handled at the server (Windows Firewall or Linux IPtables).
The new place is NAT'ing us, so our servers all have a 192.168.10.x address inside, and they map the external address for us through to the inside.
By default, they are locking everything down. I had to ask them to open ssh so I could remote into my CentOS box last night.
I'm not a network guru-- what ports are going to NEED to be opened so I can give them a list? This is a standard PLESK hosting server so http (80), https, ssh, ftp, pop3, smtp, what else? Anyone have a list?
