We're running Plesk 11.5 on a CentOS 6.5 VPS and we would like to resolve the following problem:
We've configured a physical subdomain, lets say sub1.mydomain.com, and set up a couple of aliases for that domain in Plesk under:
Web Server Settings for sub1.mydomain.com > Additional Apache directives > "Additional directives for HTTP"

This config is working fine until we try to load resources from the alias over ssl, I believe something is missing in the Nginx config. I'm not getting any info using the logs.
For example:

Do we need to specify alternative directives for Nginx?
I have completed email set up on my server and have checked that email ports are open, but for some reason outlook keeps returning : "Outlook cannot find the server. Verify the server information is entered correctly in the Account Settings, and that you DNS settings in the Network pane of System Preferences are correct."
The odd thing is that outlook still picks up emails if I receive any, but keeps returning above error every minute.
my VPS hosted by Strato was hacked and seems to be part of a botnet now. Until now I thought that the automatic backups of the provider would be enough and I did no separate backups using pleskbackup. Unfortunately the hacker attack was earlier than my oldest backup.
Now I want to move the complete server content including the configuration of approx. 10 domains to a new one. Therefore I want to make a backup of the plesk 9.5 server using pleskbackup to import it on the new server running plesk 12.I can access the old server in recovery mode only, which means, that a recovery system runs with the content of the old server mounted under /repair. Is there a possibility to tell pleskbackup, that the content to backup is mounted under /repair? Otherwise it seems, that I have to move the content manually...(I tried starting the old server in normal mode, but it immediately starts doing evil things, so this doesn't seem a good option...)
I am getting the following error in Plesk, on the Applications page:
"APS Catalog error: Unable to parse the ATOM content. DOMDocument::loadXML(): Opening and ending tag mismatch: hr line 5 and body in Entity, line: 6"
Clearing cache (as advised here: [URL] ....) - does not work, unfortunately.
As I noticed, the error started to occur right after Plesk was updated to v11.5.30_build115130819.13

In my browser, the API catalog URL gives the same "502 Bad Gateway" error: [URL] ....
Domain has PHP Settings in Plesk set to 2G and I get this error when uploading a 48MB file using Wordpress. I assume I need ot modify this manually in conf file somewhere to allow uploading large files?

I imported backups in Plesk 12 from Plesk 9.5.4.
I can access 4 out of 5 domains in my subscritions, but one domain dosn't appear in the list.
The 4 working domains are "Default Domain", the one i can't access is "unlimited".
In the list of packages i can click on the number of subscriptions and see the domains, but if click on the 1 unlimited subscription nothing gets listed / no elements found.
The domains is online, but i can't access it with plesk.
The APSC database was corrupted, so i used :
/usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp11.5.30-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh repair
to repair the databases. Worked, but give me the error
"Table 'aps_resource' doesn't exist"
One more time, i recover this table from the newest backup existing. But now, give the error " Can not find registry resource for Application ID" for one domain - I have 3 domains, 2 are working, one not.
I facing a serious problem with my qmail and plesk 11.0.9.I found the way spammer did with my server by listening everything on port 25. Maybe he know the RCPT hosts of mine, and they send emails with random username but with domain hosted on my Plesk. (user1@mydomain.com, user2@ my domain.com, ... userxxx@mydomain.com).
qmail only check domain in RCPT if spammer input:"mail from user1@mydomain.com" - (with out ":") - no email address on my server.then server reply: 550, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.7.17)
But qmail check username and domain if spammer input:""mail from: user1@mydomain.com" - (with ":") - no email address on my server. Then server reply: 250 OK..This is really weird! I tried with all my plesk server, this bug still effected.Click to expand...
I have just installed a new Cloudlinux 6.6 Plesk 12 box but am unable to find the additional PHP versions as shown in the attached image.
I'm on update #55.
I'd prefer to use Plesk's built-in PHP versions instead of the Cloudlinux ones.

I've installed pigz from Plesk repository and I can execute pigz in the shell, but definitely Plesk Panel doesn't use pigz.I tried with pigz from EPEL repo and the log showed the same error. I also tried to move the binary from /usr/bin/pigz to /bin/pigz and It didn't work.I'm interested in using Pigz to improve the speed of migration and backup.
I just migrated a bunch of domains from plesk 11.5. Everything appears to be working well however when examining the maillog, I am seeing some strange errors... In this example, the message was delivered and had the spamassassin stuff in the header.

When you perform a migration, Plesk gives me this error. For more I search, I find what may be the cause.

I have formatted my server and tried to install PLESK 11.5 (I have my license every thing). But after I start to install with current AutoInstaller there is only PLESK 12 to be chosen.
How can I install my PLESK 11.5 BACK with Current AutoInstall? Is there anyway to have an option to install 11.5 in the Installation Selection?
We are running the latest Plesk 12 under CentOS 7.
While I can see the App Owncloud as Admin in the Application Vault my users cannot see that particular app in their Application pool. They can see all other apps though. Just not Owncloud.
All resellers and customers are allowed to install everything from the pool and i selected Owncloud in the Vault already and "made it available" .. Though it is not shown.
We have just had reports of SPAM being sent from our CentOS 6.x server running Plesk 12.
Services like Plesk Premium antivirus, SpamAssasin, watchdog(rkhunter) and mod_security are enabled on the server to enhance security and none of these seemed to stop the scripts.
The issue is that multiple domains are sending out mail from this server, so it is difficult to find the script sending out SPAM.
When we were running Plesk 11.0 we had a seperate log-file where we could see the file sending any mail going out from the postfix mailserver. I have check both /var/log/maillog and /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog, but there is nothing in those files to tell me the file that sent the mail.
How would I go about finding this file from either the Plesk Control Panel or through SSH (using log-files)?
On a couple of domains I get this error if I click on the domain in the domains option or in the Subscriptions list.

I've had a couple dedicated servers with 1and1 for a while now(about 6mos). I have to say that my overall experience was pretty good. At the time the prices where pretty good, and are very comparable to most hosts. I received the speeds promised, the server was setup very quickly.
The only negative I had with the server was the kernel. I attempted to install vmware on they system however they did not have the headers needed by GCC to compile vmware. It was an annoyance, but I just opted to update the kernel since there where a few releases since their custom built kernel was made. Once I was running the new kernel the vmware process went smoothly, and everything worked perfectly.
As for 1and1's support team, I have to say their standard support I would not rate a 10/10, however their dedicated server support team, and one particular rep I've come to know in their sales / abuse department (more on the abuse dpt. later) are very knowledgeable. And always addressed any issues or questions promptly. Which honestly no issues besides vmware stand out in my mind, which was just a minor inconvenience, which you would find on most hosts. Since its an un-managed root server your responsible for keeping the system up to date, and run the latest kernels anyway right?
Ok, so I mentioned I came to know a rep out of the abuse department of sales. Now this isn't particularly related to my dedicated servers but I did have one of their hosting packages. Well I never kept tabs on the site and the scripts had a couple vulnerabilities, php5 wasn't enforced.
Anyway to make a long story short, the site was hacked and fake bank sites and other scripts where loaded onto the server. Which is where The abuse department came into play. Now I know (getting off topic, but it may be the same with a dedicated server) hosting companies don't want to run sites like these, and I thought that the way these companies usualy handle these types of situations are to send a take-down notice to their client, as its possible they may not even know its there. But 1and1 opted to completely disable all access to the server, http, ftp, ssh, everything. So at first I didn't know what happend. I call up tech support that night(prob around midnight -- 24/7 tech support is always great), they let me know the account was dissabled do to an abused related complaint. They told me I would have to wait until morning when their sales department opens(as abuse is located in sales).
So I call up the number they gave me the next morning. And meet Bob (I'm calling him bob because his name escapes me at the moment). He was very pleasant and understanding that I needed my site up as soon as possible. He looked at my account he saw I had been with them for about a year and a half, and said he didn't think I had posted any of the content anyway(he disabled it himself imagine that haha). He emailed me links to all the files in question, informed me that php5 was not forced and recomed I fix it. Since that was the only reason we had this isue in the first place. He was also able to tell me what files the hacker used to exploit and gain access to the server, as well as searched the the user directory for any backdoor scripts. Which he did find some and sent me the locations in the email.
So, finally we got of the phone he re-enabled the server. I went through the email went through everything, I just opted to delete everything as i felt the whole system was compromised anyway, and re-upload the site. I forced php5 for all php scripts and never heard anything about it again... and the site still runs today!
Their normal tech support isn't all the great, at least not when it comes to apache. I inquired about mod_rewrite not working and the first rep i spoke to didn't know what i was talking about, I explained in more detail, she put me on hold for about 10-20mins and researched it. Said she found details about my issue and shot me an email. I checked the email, it contained how to moddify headers using MS ASP which has nothing to even do with my "LINUX" shared hosting plan.
I called in a second time frustrated, remember I usually talk to guys from their dedicated server support. When I spoke with the second rep. The first thing I asked Him was if he was familiar with "Apache Mod_Rewrite" (exact words) are you familiar with this, and if not can you please give me to someone that is. He assured me he knew what I was talking about, I explained the situation, and what the other rep sent me was completely off topic. He apologized and assured me he knows exactly what I'm talking about.
He sent me an email with another link to their FAQ yet again. However this time is was on creating 403 redirects in apache. Well I do admit at least they got closer this time right? I laughed and walked out of the room. Took a shower and relaxed. Finally, I decided I'd take one last look at .htaccess configs before trying another call. I played around with different setting and... eureka! I found the solution; for some reason mod rewrite on 1and1's shared hosting servers doesn't support sub-directories; that is you need to access the files in your root directory to successfully process a rewrite.
So whats the moral of the story? Call Dedicated Server Support! lol
So anyway since this is a dedicated server review. So for my Dedicated server experience I would rate it a "9 out of 10".
For my overall experience with 1and1, I would rate it an "8 out of 10". Not the best I ever had, but I would do business with them. There are other minor issues I've had with their shared hosting, but I don't feel like getting into them.
Anyway hope that helps sombody, I kno it was a long post... so for the people that read it all congrats, because I lost concentration over about 80% of that post lol

I like know how i can move the email content from every email from one Panel to another Panel without the Transfer Manager. Because the account is created on the other server with different configurations, but i need backup only the old email.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI received an error message "Error: Failed to remove mobile site: Can't delete a site that's not active " when try to remove a mobile website in Plesk control panel and if i try to edit site content i received another error message "Can't access a site that's not active" from [URL] ....
These notification messages are originating from UNITY Mobile platform. The reason is actually hinted in the messages themselves - both the site and the editor account have been already disabled and there are no handlers anymore to modify their status further, so the messages are correct from UNITY Mobile platform's standpoint.
It appears that Plesk control panel has somehow retained in its configuration information about the site availability and is giving the plesk control panel the option to configure the mobile site despite the fact that UNITY Mobile platform is returning "deleted" status back to Plesk. Plesk should be given an option to create a new site instead now.
I would like to know how to manage Plesk in this situation.
I have a customer interested in a dedicated server that allows porn to be hosted on it. What locations/providers do you recommend for something like this?
