I run a server with Plesk 11.0.9 and want to add Tomcat support. I installed the "Tomcat Java Servlets support", but can't start the service in the "Services management" tool. It does not show any button. How do I do the next step to run tomcat in plesk?
Trying to enable Tomcat Java Servlets using autoinstaller via ssh, but I'm receiving the following error:
Exception: Failed to solve dependencies: 2:apache-commons-discovery-0.5-9.el7.noarch requires mvn(commons-logging:commons-logging)
ERROR: The Yum utility failed to install the required packages. Attention! Your software might be inoperable. When I try through the admin UI, I just get "The Yum utility failed to install the required packages"
Rightnow OpneJDK 6 is already installed, I want to remove it and install Sun JDK6 and tomcat. There are many threads on the web discussing this topic, but every one says some thing different, so its getting confusing.
Any one, who is running java hosting, please come ahead and help me.
I switched off the mail service for one of my domains in that sites control panel a few days ago because there were some malicious files on my server sending out spam. I stopped the service until I cleared all the files that weren't meant to be there and then tried to restart the mail service again but it won't start.
I get this message 'Information: Mail service settings were successfully changed for the selected domains.' but the service stays off. I had the same problem on another site on the same server and carried out the same process but the mail service for that website started fine.
I installed Cloudflare for Plesk during this time and thought that might be causing an issue but after disabling this I still can't start the mail service for the domain.
Is there a section of the main (super admin) control panel that manages the mail services for each domain I am unaware of?
I upgraded today from 11 to 12, however since the upgrade I am now unable to start the PSA Service, it comes up with the below error.
Starting psa... Starting sw-engine-fpm: Thu Jun 19 13:22:29 2014 (7885): Fatal Error Unable to allocate shared memory segment of 104857600 bytes: mmap: Cannot allocate memory (12)
I have checked resources and everything should be fine, I cant see a reason why it cant allocate the memory, as there is plenty free for it to take from.
I have tried a Bootstrapper repair for 12 however this has not found any issues other than its not able to stop the PSA Service (As its not running)
Everything else is up and running its just the Parallels backend which im guessing is what the PSA Service is!
First, the datacenter lost power so the server shut off. I assume there is some DB corruption and why the SQL Service won't start.

I ran the systemctl status mariadb.service command and this is below.
I noticed that my spamassassin wasn't running on my server. so I restarted the service from the plesk panel but got the following message:
Error: Unable to make action: Unable to manage service by spammng: spamassassin: unrecognized service ERROR:spammng:Unable to start SpamAssassin service ('--start', 'spamassassin')
So I SSH'ed into my machine and saw that spamassassin wasn't running.
The I reinstalled spamassassin from the "add and remove product components", but that didn't change anything. Still the same error.
It seems the servers dns will not resolve and has crashed. When starting the "Named" service, here is the error:
Error in named configuration: zone 0.0.127.IN-ADDR.ARPA/IN: loaded serial 20010622 zone 215.170.107.in-addr.arpa/IN: loaded serial 1433121512 zone lanewgirl.com/IN: NS 'ns.mydomain.com' has no address records (A or AAAA)
zone mydomain.com/IN: not loaded due to errors.
_default/mydomain.com/IN: bad zone
zone mydomain2.com/IN: NS 'ns.mydomain2.com' has no address records (A or AAAA)
So Everything was going great! Until I needed to reboot, and then after that only Plesk panel worked not my IP or any domains setup with it.
BUT when I restart Nginx it all starts working again! (Had to /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/httpdmng --reconfigure-all to get the domains to go to the right directory though)
But now everytime I reboot the server Nginx has to be restarted

I just upgraded from Plesk 11.x to 12.0.18 and was eager to try the new sieve functions. I used the normal Plesk Updates/Upgrades tool to change the imap server from Courier to Dovecot. However, Dovecot will not start. It gives an error about /etc/dovecot/private/ssl-cert-and-key.pem missing.
Plesk Control panel -> Tools and Settings -> Updates and Upgrade
Get:

For some reason my nginx doenst start and I get the following error:
Error: Unable to start service: Unable to manage service by nginxmng: [2015-05-30 01:03:20] ERR [util_exec] proc_close() failed enabling nginx proxy failed: getsebool: SELinux is disabled

on a fresh installation of Ubuntu (at first 14.04 but on 12.04 the same problem occurs) I installed Plesk via the autoinstaller. It seems to be all fine except I cannot open Plesk in the browser.
The web browser shows "502 Bad Gateway", a look into the error_log at "/var/log/plesk/sw-cp-server" shows the following error:
Code: 2014/08/11 09:37:22 [crit] 4988#0: *4 connect() to unix:/var/run/sw-engine.sock failed (2: No such file or directory) while connecting to upstream, client: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, server: , request: "GET / HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/sw-engine.sock:", host: "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8443" So the problem seems to be the sw-engine service that cannot be started. If I try to start it manually with `/etc/init.d/sw-engine start` it just fails:
Code: * Starting Plesk engine pool manager sw-engine-fpm [fail]
Where to find any startup error log for sw-engine, where I could find any further information.
I have a pretty new install of PPA with a Windows 2012R2 IIS Web servers. I just noticed it has Java 1.7.0 Update 25 installed which has A LOT of vulnerabilities. Can I safely upgrade this?
Suggestion: If something is installed/required by PPA it should also be kept up2date by PPA.
This kind of stuff makes me quite worried about anything installed by PPA on any of my nodes including Linux.
Do you have a team at Odin that makes sure everything is up2date and safe?
I am going to buy Plesk V.12 but there is some question that I would like to confirm before ordering this great program. My server is running both tomcat and php at the moment and using forwarding port technique. I am not quite sure about how Plesk manage this solution.
Is there anyway to integrate an external version (not installed through plesk) of Tomcat, so that requests to port 80 are redirected to port 8080 (i.e. if I hit www.example.com I would like to see the same content as www.example.com:8080)?
I have linux server and i face some problem in php with java, every thing is fine but all the extensions in--->/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/ directory and when i access it through browser it doesn't reflected in our phpinfo.php page.
I've a jsp web search engine running on Windows, Apache 2.0.59 and Tomcat 5.5.17 using Mod_jk, db is MySQL 4.1.22. The App was running fine on the previous server until I switched to this new dedicated server.
I'm getting an error (check error.txt attached) on every search. Also attached is the log file (log.txt).
Last time this happened, I reinstalled mysql and it worked, but it isnt working this time no matter what I do.
Error can ve repeated using this link: [url].do? dis...t&p=&q=keyword (replace '3' with 'e' in q3lly)
Its a windows server and can be accessed via RDC (remote desktop).
