We have noticed that if we have created example@domain.tld email account and we create new domain alias for example alias.tld. We have already created email accounts for example@domain.tld and example@alias.tld.
Now, if we change email account name for example example2@domain.tld only mailbox for example2@domain.tld is updated, example@alias.tl is unchanged.
In this case if someone send email to example2@alias.tld email will not be delivered because alias mail name was not updated. We have noticed this error in PPA 11.1 and PPA 11.5.
Since updating from Plesk V11, Plesk is sending out an e-mail with date.time information to all my customers. I have not changed anything to my settings.
in order to have a Horde admin email we open /etc/psa-webmail/horde/horde/conf.php
and change $conf['auth']['admins'] = array(); into $conf['auth']['admins'] = array('emailaddress@xyz.com');
Works fine. This change than reverses itself after every Plesk update incl micro updates. Are we editing the right file / is there an underlying one we should edit instead? Cannot find a setting in Plesk itself to configure a Horde admin email.
I have upgraded to a new server and need to move all domains, users, and most important all email accounts to the new server.
Both servers run Plesk 11.0.9 on CentOS. The migration manager works great, no problems with that.
After migrating, I change my DNS settings at an external DNS provider to the new IP. The problem is, DNS changes take time. I then get emails on the old server and on the new server until DNS information is spread.
I was searching for a way to let the old server forward to the new one, but changes for specific domains in plesks DNS system (MX record) on the old server did not work. The mails still arrived at the old server.
What can i do? Can I uncheck "Activate mail service on domain" and will all emails be rejected until DNS points to the new server? Or will that lead to bounces?
we regularly get this message in boxmail of adress used to send email from server. This is the mail system at host DOMAIN.fr. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message. The mail system
<1@SERVERNAME.HOSTER.com> (expanded from <1>): User unknown in virtual alias table
If i look in maillog i see that :
May 18 16:48:52 SERVERNAME postfix/error[22737]: F22521B4E45: to=<1@SERVERNAME.HOSTER.com>, orig_to=<1>, relay=none, delay=0.07, delays=0.04/0.01/0/0.02, dsn=5.0.0, status=bounced (User unknown in virtual alias table)
The problem is in error message (at top) the message attached is the one sent to EMAIL@DOMAIN.com. So we can think the message is not sent to EMAIL@DOMAIN.com. SERVERNAME, HOSTER and EMAIL@DOMAIN are here to mask real data.
I'm trying to upgrade my cPanel/WHM box and it stops at this line everytime:

I've tried googling on upcp on gogle.com and here but haven't found anyone who has the same problem.
An arbitrary file inclusion vulnerability has been discovered in the Horde webmail application. At present, we can confirm that this security vulnerability in question affects Horde 3.1.6 and earlier. Based on incomplete information at this time, we also believe this affects Horde Groupware 1.0.4 and earlier as well (cPanel does not use Horde Groupware at this time).
cPanel customers should update their cPanel and WHM servers immediately to prevent any chance of compromise. The patch will be available in builds 11.18.2 and greater (or 11.19.2 and greater for EDGE systems). The updated builds will be available immediately to all fast update servers. The builds will be available to all other update servers within one hour of this posting.
To check which version of cPanel and WHM is on your server, simply log into WebHost Manager (WHM) and look in the top right corner, or execute the following command from the command line as root:
/usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -V
You can upgrade your server by navigating to 'cPanel' -> 'Upgrade to Latest Version' in WebHost Manager or by executing the following from the command line as root:
/scripts/upcp
It is recommended that all use of Horde 3.1.6 and earlier be stopped (on cPanel and non-cPanel systems alike) until Horde updates can be applied. You can disable Horde on your cPanel system by unchecking the box next to 'Server Configuration' -> 'Tweak Settings' -> 'Mail' -> 'Horde Webmail' within WHM, and saving the page with the new settings.
i am trying to update the self signed certificate that comes with cPanel but cannot do it. When i go to "Install a SSL Certificate and Setup the Domain" and enter the ssl information and click submit, i get the following error:
