Exim: User Unknown (domain Forward)
One of my clients has 2 accounts:
- foo.com, with a mail account info@foo.com.
- bar.com, with domain forwarding to foo.com.
Sending an email message to info@foo.com works.
Sending an email message to info@bar.com doesn't work. When using the ZoneEdit SMTP test utility I get the following error message:
Code:
> RCPT TO:<info@bar.com>
< 550 5.1.1 User unknown: info@bar.com
I checked "/etc/vdomainaliases/bar.com" and "/etc/localdomains", they are configured properly.
Any suggestions?

Domain Name Redirecting To Unknown Website
I came across a problematic situation today. Our client pmb.com.my has complained that their domain, when accessed from search engines will go to another site, not theirs. So, perhaps you guys can try this out. 1. Type the URL on the browser directly: [url] You'll get the real site. 2. Try searching for "pmb malaysia" on Google: [url] 3. You should see a normal listing for the site as the 1st result. Try clicking that link. 4. In our checks, it will go to a landing page (black bankground), and will redirect to an adult site. 5. You get this landing page too when you click the link to the site in step 1. Appreciate if more people can try this out and post your findings here. I've contacted the RZ (site hosted there), and they said it is an issue with Google's cache. Not sure I buy that.

Can Your Hosting Address Be Seen When You Forward A Domain?
For example, if I forward my business domain abcproducts.com to my domain where I have my hosting, myname.com, is it possible for people to see where my business domain is forwarding to. Basically, I am doing a business website, but I don't want anyone to be able to see that it actually is forwarding to a folder on my main myname.com where I have my hosting. I am masking it, so it will only show abcproducts.com, but I am wondering if even the "tech saavy" has tools to figure this out. I just don't want anyone to be able to see this. Like, I know how sites like DNSreport.com show all kinds of stuff on the domain. Is there something like this that people can use to see if domains forward?

Forward A Domain (incl. Subdirectories/subdomains) To The Same URL
Forwarding a domain (incl. subdirectories/subdomains) to the same URL I'm looking for a provider which can offer a service similar to mydomain.com, I should be able to add an unlimited number of domains to forward on external urls in a way which should point anything-you-digit.myname.com and myname.com/anything-you-digit to the same destination url If the service might also allow to add title, keywords and description for each domain, this would be even better but not required. MyDomain can offer all this but there's a fee for each added domain while we'd prefer paying a monthly fee for a single hosting where adding multiple domains.

Exim/Cpanel No Such User Here
I'm having an issue with email generated from a website contact form. The email is being sent from the website via php. The issue is that the email address that it is being sent to is a domain/website that is also on cpanel. It is trying to deliver it to a local account, but the email is acutally on a third party system outside of cpanel. Does anyone know anyway for exim to not try and deliver locally?

Only Domain Reg, Email Forward And Url Redirect Wanted
I need a company to register my domain, and then forward emails and urls to my actual site that is somewhere else. I don't need any actual web hosting or email pop (at the moment). My main requirement is reliability. The company I currently use bounces some email to me and forwards other email to a black hole. They're also not replying to my mail, so it's time to leave. BTW, this is a company that has generally excellent reviews.

CPanel + Exim + User Level Filtering
whether our webhost has their configuration messed up, or if this is not genuinely possible with cpanel + exim + shared hosting. Our email server is hosted with the web host, and what we want to do is to not allow certain users to be able to receive (And send) outgoing email to non-local domains e.g. they should only be able send and receive within our hosted domain, @mydomain.com . Now, we've tried doing this using cpanel's user level filters and have setup the following: Rules: If Field To does not contain @mydomain.com OR If Field From does not contain @mydomain.com Action: Fail with message. We've tested these filters using combinations and they seem to be working as far as we can see on cpanel (it has the filter testing feature) Now this works for people sending emails into our domain e.g. someone from hotmail tries sending emails to a user, and it bounces back. But people from inside the domain can send emails to other domains even when they give valid results on the cpanel filter tester.

Exim Outbound Relay Per Domain
I have been searching for a solution to a problem that shouldn't exist but it does. Background: I have a customer on a UK server who sends emails to 500+ recipients on a monthly basis, and all but 3 emails are delivered.... The 3 that don't go, bounce after 3 days (as per the exim setup) The 3 recipient domain's that reject don't seem to accept email from UK/European ip's and I have tried to send them emails from 4 different networks and still they bounce. I have even tried to contact them via gmail, and still not heard back. Proposed solution: I want to be able to send email for that 1 domain to a Postfix Relay I have in the US. Question: How do I achieve this within Exim (a Cpanel Server). I have found that so far its to do with the Router Configuration section within the Cpanel Exim setup, but I cannot seem to find an example of what and where i need to change the config... Can anyone provide an example?

Limiting Cpu/memory Of A Single User/domain In Whm
i've been researching this but can't seem to find a decent solution. basically trying to limit the cpu usage of a single domain, or limit accesses per hour if that's possible? i tried adding an entry in /etc/security/limits.conf which restricts numproc to 2 and then down to 1, but it doens't seem to make any impact on the load. load of the server drops from about 1.5-2 down to 0.02 when this single site is suspended, and i can't have it run wild. ideally would like a message that says something along the lines of server is too busy... trying again in 5 seconds or something along those lines?

CAC/Smartcard User Info Not Accepted, Must Use Domain Usr/pwd Instead For SSL Site
Having an issue with random individuals trying to access an intranet site with a security certificate. Most users are able to simply select their Smartcard/CAC certificate, enter the pin number and then are granted access to the site's pages. However, random individuals enter their pin and then are immediately re-prompted by the IE alert dialogue to enter their domain username and password. If they don't enter their network domain username and MS password, then they receive a 401.1 Unauthorized. I am confused as to why these certain users (who are selecting the same certificates as the successful ones) are being prompted for their domain name/pwd. Furthermore, they're able to access other sites which require a CAC to get past the security certificate. Possible that a user token is unable to be established via a CAC for the particular site, but not sure why. Since these users are getting a 401.1, then somehow their identity associated with their CAC credentials is not validating. In IIS: Anonymous users are not allowed (unchecked). 128-bit encryption is required with SSL. Integrated Windows Authentication is checked. Accepting client certificates In the site's web.config file all users are allowed and only anonymous are denied. Developed in asp.net 3.5 We have tried to reproduce the problem in testing and development environments, but have fortunately/unfortunately been unable to duplicate this issue. This furthermore eludes to an issue that might be isolated to the production server, users access to it, and/or the certificate that is applied to that SSL website on that server. The exact same setup is present on the development box without any issues at all, indicating to me that the problem resides on the production server's ability to properly receive/handle CAC information from those individuals or that something funky is going on with the way the security certificate is relating to the client's CAC x.509 certificate. A little more information that may be of use: the browser prompt that initially asks for the CAC has nothing to do with the code of the site, but rather is enabled by applying the security certificate to a site in IIS; thus indicating to me that there is something written into the certificate that looks for client certificates tied to the ActivClient agent via the browser? The violating users' cards work on all other applications and even on SSL sites on other servers that bring up a CAC prompt. I believe we have confirmed that the certificates associated with their cards and their IE browsers are valid through 2015 (or longer in some cases), and are the same in nature (x509 certificate from the card)... and issuer is being consistently selected as DOD Email CA-15 (though the regular DOD CA-15 works as well). Again, maybe something with the fact that it's isolated to one production server, something with the SSL cert. on that url or user access? Then again, I probably have no idea what i'm talking about, just throwing a bone here to see if anyone has had the same issue or has any ideas.

Email Auto Forward
I have signed up for hostgators webhosting. Upon setting up, I found out that outgoing mails from any email addresses from my domain name cannot be copied to another email account. I've tried scripting on the client software (e.g)outlook. it works. but then again, it only applies on the client side if the scripted client is present. this would not work if the email is sent from the web based login. is there a work around for it? If there isn't, does any one know of any webhosting co. that allows that? Situation is, my current host does allow it. Due to small amount of disk space allocated, reliability of the service, technical support and cost, we therefore have decided to switch to another host.

I have tried everything but nothing works and the logs not show me any errors.

Subdomain Forward To Other Host
i have been stuck in this situation for more than a week... the situation on my side is this: <-- i have a domain at godaddy, and using godaddy windows hosting.. i have a website in ASP.NET, and i want to make a subdomain for my forum suppose: forum.mydomain.com and forward it to other host on cpanel... --> Other side: <-- my friend has bought reseller hosting and have created an account for me with the name of mydomain.com. and the server IP is x.x.x.123 --> i logged in to my account in cpanel and created a subdomain named "forum" then i created the subdomain on godaddy and pointed the A record of this subdomain to x.x.x.123 now when i open forum.mydomain.com.....it displays error page... (i have kept a simple index.html file in public_html) any solution to this problem? i need steps to resolve this problem and what configurations i need to do on godaddy + cpanel manager....
