Domain Name Redirecting To Unknown Website
I came across a problematic situation today. Our client pmb.com.my has complained that their domain, when accessed from search engines will go to another site, not theirs. So, perhaps you guys can try this out.
1. Type the URL on the browser directly: [url]
You'll get the real site.
2. Try searching for "pmb malaysia" on Google:
[url]
3. You should see a normal listing for the site as the 1st result. Try clicking that link.
4. In our checks, it will go to a landing page (black bankground), and will redirect to an adult site.
5. You get this landing page too when you click the link to the site in step 1.
Appreciate if more people can try this out and post your findings here. I've contacted the RZ (site hosted there), and they said it is an issue with Google's cache. Not sure I buy that.

Sending an email message to info@bar.com doesn't work. I have set up my Virtual Private Server and uploaded all my site's files to /var/www folder. If I Use My Domain As A Nameserver Can It Still Be The Website
Basically as the title says I have a domain thedrunkengamer.net that is my main domain and website, I just got a dedicated server and in the startup steps in WHM im at the Nameserver setup screen. If i go to GoDaddy and register ns1.thedrunkengamer.net and ns2.thedrunkengamer.net as nameservers can I still use www.thedrunkengamer.net as my website? If so by doing this will it impact the performance of my website at all? Should I register a seperate domain to use for nameservers?

About My Website Moving And New Domain Name
I've purchased a forum, using a sub-domain name like bbs.mywebsite.com. All the files will be moved to my new dedicated server. I'd like to use a new domain name for it, like newname. com but still to not lose current memebers, still we want to keep bbs.mywebsite.com working as before. I have 5 IP availble and want to allocate one of them to the new domain name newname .com ================================================== ==== Now, question, what should I do, can some one give me instruction step by step please, to make 2 domains both bbs.mywebsite.com and newname. com working properly. don't want to use redirect. Now what I can think of is, add newname. com to my account, and change DNS to point to my nameserver, then copy the whole forum under new website. I dont know if this way is correct. Then I don't know how to link the original forum address to the new space.

Website Hacked, IP And Domain
This is the second time this week that my website was hacked. On the first hack attempt they somehow got into my cpanel and corrupted my license file which I had my host fix. Other than that the only damage done was an html file that replaced my main page. Then today, I find that my website has been further compromised, but by a completely different group. The first hacker was g3n3t1x and this second hack was done by www.turkishdefacerteam.com Now, the problem is my sites dedicated IP is 72.36.192.150, and my domain name is gamingguilds.net, but if you resolve the domain name, it resolves to 74.53.52.66. I have checked my nameservers and everything is set properly. But the thing I don't get is that when you type in my domain name in a web browser, you see my website. How can it be resolving to the wrong IP and STILL show my website. Also note that when you type in my dedicated IP it would still show my website (before this second attack). Now after the second attack, my dedicated IP no longer works, I cant get into cpanel using the IP, I cant get into my FTP account, and I get view my website. Yet if you use the domain name to log into cpanel or view the website it works. The strange part here is that I can't get into the FTP using the domain name. SO, if you go to [url]you see a blank cpanel site, if you go to [url] you get a 404 error, and if you go to www.gamingguilds.net you get my website.

Preview Website Before Domain Update
I've recently opened an account at a shared webhosting, cPanel managed. I've assigned it the main domain name I plan to use, but currently that domain points to another webhosting. Before I proceed with the change of nameservers and make the definitive switch from the old to the new host, is there any way I can privately preview my site (100% HTML) from the new host? I'd like to ensure it's working OK before making the jump. I've tried to add an entry to my local HOSTS file assigning my domain to the new host IP, but I only get a default page from the new server.

Create SSL Website Or Sub Domain - CPanel And No Panel
I would like to create an SSL website for parts of my domain. I have a few VPS's one running cPanel, the others running just Webmin. Now I have managed to install SSL as I can login to WHM/cPanel using the secure port fine. Also I have installed SSL on the Webmin VPS's as I followed www.webmin.com/ssl.html which tells you how. However I would like to get sections of my website secure i.e secure.mydomain.com would be HTTPS, and the rest of the site just normal HTTP.

Redirecting IP Addresses
Anyone know of a service that will allow an IP listed in "A record" to be redirected. I have a client who has office based mail servers and some remote applications running and because of this their IT company has the nameservers. The NS entries cannot be changed When I need to change A records, I then have to call the IT company, what I am hoping to achieve is have IT company set A record to xxx.xx.xx.xx and I can direct that to zz.zzz.zz.zz and change as needed.

I've got a two domains (.com and .co.uk) at 123-reg and I've just got some new hosting. At the moment the .com points to the new hosting. How do I get the .co.uk to point there are well? The options I can find are changing nameservers (still don't understand this...) or to use web-forwarding.

We are wanting to move our forum from a subdomain where it lies currently to a subdirectory of the main site. I know that this could be done via htacess, but I am wanting to make sure that we don.t lose any of the backlinks that we have coming in, or any page rankings that we have accumulated. Replicating Internal Redirect Behaviour For Redirecting To External Site In Htaccess
I have the following RewriteRule directive in my htaccess file on my localhost:- Code: RewriteRule ^([a-z-]+)/?$ test.aspx/app.nav/params.class.com${meta:$1}/whatever${meta:$1} The rewrite rule works perfectly, since the revised URL is still preserved when after it is executed; I presume this is since my old URL is relative, and it's performing an internal rewrite. However, when I make my old URL absolute (adding an external address to it), whenever I execute my new URL, I'm redirected to the external sites URL (which includes the same URL parameters as my internal 'test.aspx' page), like below:- Code: RewriteRule ^([a-z-]+)/?$ http://www.example.com/test.aspx/app.nav/params.class.com${meta:$1}/whatever${meta:$1} Purely for demo purposes, upon execution, I'd like my new URL to be preserved in the address bar whilst, I'm redirected to the external site. Is this possible to do - something like forcing the behaviour of an internal rewrite? EDIT: I've done some investigating and people with similar problems have suggested using the Passthrough handler - although I'm slightly unclear as to what this does exactly, I gave it a go (adding '[PT]') at the end of RewriteRule, but unfortunately this didn't make any difference. Unknown Space Consumption
my friend has an un-managed VPS plan in kloxo-hypervm mode yesterday the stats showed in hypervm as the space was over used, so I personally deleted the processed stats which cleared around 20gb space, again today the space is totally consumed, I don't know why its happening and have no clue where are the other locations where the space could have been consumed i.e similar to location of logs or any other specs which could have been consuming space unknown space consumption - very high no idea how! its actually an image hosting site and I noted that not many pics and not much space was consumed in the pics uploaded in the last 24hrs but this really puzzles and troubles me as I am currently tracking my friend's VPS, please help me sort this out problem and keep my head high before my friend

Unknown Host Error On Hypervm/lxadmin On CentOS
I run hypervm/lxadmin and centos My issue is that my websites I have hosted there just come and go. They will be accessible for a few minutes, then return "unknown host" errors for a while, and then come back like it never happened. I am amusiming this is a dns issue, but I am not really sure where to start. My dns template looks ok, but past that I am lost.

Account Suspended Due To Server Overloading - Unknown Ip Causing This Issue
My host has suspended saying my server was overloaded and sent me a log to my mail and i don't have access to cpanel also. I just have a wordpress blog and when i had contacted host through chat they told some ip might be causing this issue so ban that ip when ur account is unsuspended.
