View 7 RepliesI'm having some trouble finding a hosting company that will let me send out bulk mail to my single opt-in (and CAN-SPAM compliant) list of 500,000+ subscribers.
Could anyone here recommend a hosting company that would be able to handle that? I put in a request through WHT's quote request form, but haven't gotten any replies to my query.
I know that there must be a host out there who is willing to let me do it, I just need to find it...
BTW, the list is scrubbed, and I will make every attempt to keep the IP's 100% clean, as I have a vested interest in making sure that my deliverability is high, so it's not like I'm going to "spam and run"...
I have a list of a few thousands subscribers and want to use a joomla component to handle my sign ups and announcements. Problem is my web host only allows a certain amount of emails per hour, and a cap on emails per day. Are there any email hosts, meaning, a service I can sign up with that will allow me to send these emails? I don't want anything complex like aweber and constant contact. I just want the articles on my site's news section to become the actual announcement/newsletter. I thought about Feedburner, but they don't let you import your subscribers.. I wouldn't be sending announcements every day, but perhaps a couple of times per month..

I have a problem with spoofing spammers.. my queue is plenty of non-delivered emails from externals SMTP, sended to NON-existents address on my server...
The question is the destination domain (mydomain.com b.example) has already its ":fail: No Such User Here" alias.
SMF records applied, but not the most external SMTP servers checks them nowadays...
Using :fail: the email is never accepted into the server. During the initial SMTP negotiation when the senders SMTP server connects to your SMTP server, the sending SMTP server issues a RCPT command notifying your server which email address the email to follow is intended for. Your server then checks whether the recipient email actually exists on your server (a POP3 account, an alias or a catchall alias) and if it does not, it issues an SMTP DENY which terminates the attempt to deliver the email.
Well, in my case it justs receives message and then frozen it!

We are currently hosting with a shared hosting provider for our web/email needs and are looking to upgrade to a dedicated server that can scale our bulk email requirement (not spam).
We usually need to send out about 25K emails a day. Since we require the convenience of sending out emails from the individual Outlook clients and multiple people might be sending out the emails, we are thinking that a dedicated server might suit our needs better. Our web traffic very minimal and the load is primarily on email handling.

One of my users is receiving way too many Mailer Daemon messages and his mailbox is full. I've had this problem from time to time and I am trying to figure out how to block mailer daemon messages for a specific domain so that they do not even get on the mailing queue...much like when you set a default address to ":fail:". So I came up with this:
refuse_md1:
deny message = The original message did not come from this site.
condition = ${if eq{$sender_address}{}{yes}{no}}
condition = ${if eq{$local_part}{userdomain.com}{yes}{no}}
log_message = Refused a bounce message for userdomain.com
However, this doesn't help. The emails are still going to the mailing queue and when I look at the Exim log I see the usual error message saying that the email was blocked because the account has run out of space.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm having difficulty sending an email to another email address (with a different domain) which is on the same VPS.The trouble is, on the other domain's VPS control panel, within the DNS settings, the MX records have been pointed externally (to an exchange server). Their email is turned off. But bizarrely, their mailbox is full.
It seems as though Plesk is ignoring the MX records, and sending MY email internally to the OTHER domain's mailbox on the same VPS.How do I get Plesk to send my mail to the correct EXTERNAL MX records?
Every month or two, we like to send our members a newsletter-type email which just informs them about what's happening over in our website and community. We have over 350,000 accounts registered, so there's quite a few emails to be sent each time.
I'm currently using cPanel with Exim and SwiftMailer to send the members an email through PHP. The way I do it currently is import all the email addresses to a separate table then email 500-1000 at a time. This is controlled by a Cron job.
I'm finding Exim to be extremely slow and the queue has built up to 190,000 as I type this (the email process started last week).
My question is this. What's the best software, whether it be a program or a script of some form, to send an email to such amount of users? Or if anyone knows any way to 'tweak' Exim to handle such mass-emails.
to send 3.6 million emails over a week period of time. it is for a client that wants to send an email about their new account policies. these users are clients from different domains. how can this be done.
They have an exchange server onsite. should they use that server or do you recommend going through a service? if so whom do you recommend that is good?
Do you recommend going with a dedciated server for email? what server specs?
the email will not have an attachment just a few lines and a link to their own site.
with whatever solution you recommend? please give me price ranges?
Dell and such enterprise companies send emails all the time with that many emails and more to external clients... how do they do it.
