Addon Domain In Cpanel
I create a abc.com domain hosting in whm. then I login to abc.com cpanel to AddOn Domain. I try to addon xyz.com into abc.com cpanel. But when i enter to xyz.com website it always show "Great Success !
Apache is working on your cPanel and WHM™ Server" cPanel and Apache page. The domain is already more then 2 days and ping already propogate to server. May i know is httpd.conf or mod_security problem?

Lets say I have abcd.com as the main domain on cpanel. abcd.com has 10 subdomains. Basically what I want to do is when I do an addon domain or parked domain I want the subdomains to basically point to abcd.com automatically. Do Any Good Hosts Provide A CPanel That Keeps Addon Domain Lists In Order
I find that I like using CPanel with addon domains in a new unlimited domains shared plan rather than using WHM with each name having its own CPanel in a reseller plan (which I have been used to until now at another host). The only problem is that all the addon domains are out of order - they are not even in the order in which I add them. This puts a damper on things and makes managing them much less efficient than one would expect with the addons in order. After putting in a support ticket, I was told they can't do anything about it at all. They told me the order of the listing is the order in the "mail server apache configuration." After posting this matter here in the Apache forum, I have been informed by an SP member that the answer I got wouldn't hold any water at all, or more accurately, consists of a whole lot of smoke. As a person who knows how easy and basic it is to sort data lists or drop-down form selector fields myself, I must admit that it's hard to believe nothing can be done in the 21st century. I have no desire at all to go with another reseller plan, and like using CPanel instead with addons. Does anyone know of the good and well known unlimited domain hosting providers who keep the addon domains in order within CPanel? Is there any other good option for shared hosting that doesn't involve using WHM and does offer common sense multiple domain management where everything is in order?

Addon Domain
I have a domain with 2 addon domains added to it. Lets call the domain1.com and the addons are domain2.com and domain3.com I transfered the sites from one server to my server and know if I try to goto domain2.com or domain3.com they are not found. If I goto domain1.com/domain2 (or 3) it works just fine though. I tried to do the addon domain in cpanel but it is coming up with the following errors. Bind reloading on server using rndc zone: [domain1.com] The subdomain, domain2.domain1.com has been added. Error from park wrapper: domain2.com is already configured. Removed domain2.domain1.com Server at line: 1244. Removed Entry from httpd.conf Bind reloading on server using rndc zone: [domain1.com] The subdomain, domain2.domain1.com has been removed. domain2.com could not be setup. The subdomain domain2.domain1.com was not setup either. How can I fix this? I did try to make domain2 its own account after that, but the script did not work for some reason even though it does if I goto domain1.com/domain2. I know it must be something simple I am missing, but for the life of me I am drawing a blank. Also, I moved the site by doing a complete backup in Cpanel and uploaded that to the new server and restored it from the WHM backup screen.

Addon Domain
I currently have an established domain, mainsite.com, which is running PHP-Nuke on the directory /home, with a redirect accordingly. Now, I've created an addon domain, 2ndsite.com, for which I've installed Wordpress at the top-level. The trouble is, 2ndsite.com defaults to mainsite.com/home - unless I redirect 2ndsite.com to mainsite.com/2ndsite. If I do that, I can then see my WordPress installation. I'd obviously like to have 2ndsite.com be viewed from that address, as opposed to a subdir under mainsite.com - that is why I got the domain in the first place.

Parked On Addon Domain
Can a domain be parked on an addon domain in a cPanel server? At first thought I do not see it as a problem as a ServerAlias directive for the parked inside the addon domain Virtual Host container inside httpd.conf is all is required but cPanel may not allow for all it's wisdom. Let me know if cPanel would pose a problem or wouldn't allow this scenario.

Restoring Accounts To Addon Domain
Currently, 2 domains hosted on a dedicated server with each account having its own Cpanel. I'm going to move/migrate these 2 domains to a shared hosting server. The shared hosting accont has Cpanel and I've added 2 Add-on domains (the same ones on the dedicated). In total, there are 3 domains under the shared hosting account; The main domain and the 2 other (add-on) domains. My question is it possible to restore these 2 accounts under a single cpanel account and having all the emails intact? So, in essence, I'm having a single cpanel account to manage the 2 domains to be transferred from the dedicated.

Addon Domain, Cant Have Password Protected Folders
I have 2 domains on 1 account. My main website is www.aviationcafe.net and i added on www.modelcuir.com thats what it looks like to the public. But with my host it will be www.modelcuir.aviationcafe.net. I noticed in the files area that modelcuir is it's own file, i can password protect that but it will stop people getting onto the website completly and i only want to stop them getting into the members area. I can't create a members area either unless i can add a new folder which i can't i dont think.

E-mail From Addon Domain Flagged As Junk
I have an addon domain running on my webhosting along side my primary account. I am mostly using the Thunderbird client to send e-mails. 80% of the time when I send a mail out from "name@addondomain.com" hotmail, gmail, yahoo all see it as spam! What's ironic is I receive more darn adult e-mails in my free accounts than anything else, and yet it's thinking the occasional mass personal message is SPAM? So these guys that flood my inbox daily must know something I don't? Is there something I'm doing incorrectly? Or do I need to change a hosting package setting, should I use different software such as a php mailing list?

Addon Domains Vs Separate Domain Pros/cons
I'm trying to understand more the Pro's and Con's for having an Addon Domain vs Separate domain. Here's my use for it. Site1.com holds all the files, Site2.com holds all the video and images. When it comes time to add a second server (end of this year) I could move Site2.com to a second server and nfs mount it. Thats of the site is separate. PROBLEM: separate site means permission problems, when write code ie.php you can unlink / move files without permission which means setting up special groups. Addon domain doesn't have the permission problem from what I can see, since the domain gets the group access of the Mainsite. so no extra configuration required. now the problem would be how do I get that addon domain to a second server to offload some of the resources.

I am not a reseller, but I currently use a reseller account to manage several separate sites of mine. I know that it is possible under a standard cPanel account to have addon domains, where the html files go in a subfolder of the main domain. If you do this: - is it possible for people to access the addon site files using www.maindomain/addondomain, and if so can you stop this? - do you still get separate email addresses and spamassassin settings for the addon domain? - do you get separate web server logs for each domain, for stats? - is there any other reason why it might still be better to pay more for a reseller account so that each site can be managed completely separately?

Addon & Subdomain On CPANEL
I got many complaints from our customer that are using addon domain facilites. They cannot add mail account, see site stats, etc. I checked on /var/cpanel/users, there's no domain for addon domain they have but DNS zone is still there. When I log in to their CPANEL, addon domain was still there too. Anyone have the same issues? We have this problem raised since about 2 weeks ago on 4 of our servers.

I found that the domain name add-on I had before in my cPanel account is missing, so I tried to add-on a domain name back, it says: Error from domain wrapper: Domain already exists, it was not added.: the.domainaddon.com The question is how do I clear them all off related to this domain? I tried to edit /etc/userdomains, /etc/trueuserdomains and found nothing httpd.conf only shows the subdomain and nothing else. CPanel Domain Name Server (DNS)
After spending 1 hour wondering why all domains suddenly stopped working and the hosting server was showing no signs of fail. A simple dns service restart on my secondary dns server fixed this. Is there any way to auto restart the dns service upon failure on the cpanel dns only build? Also why would the secondary dns server failing, cause the domain to stop working. The primary dns/hosting server was fine.

Heres what Ive done created a new user and set their home directory as /home/<user>. I then made a public_html folder within their home dir. Then I went into httpd.conf, and added a virtual host for that domain with the document root to the public_html dir i created . At this point, what is there left to do? I have a domain hosted which is the primary domain with all its file hosted, it also has its own email accounts setup. I now have another domain, i want to make the new domain the primary domain for the account which is hosting my website and the previous domain to be parked on top of it - this is with the use of cPanel. Now from what ive experienced i should be able to use and setup email accounts from within cPanel from both domains. This is my question. The previous domain already has email accounts setup, if i make the switch and make it a parked domain onto the new primary domain will i still be able to retain the same email accounts/passwords/email? e.g. if i have email@[url]after the switch i want email@[url]to be under the new primary account[url]

I have a reseller account that is hosted at ns1 / ns2.mydomain.com and it is configured via cPanel / WHM and is accessed by mydomain.com I recently purchased a dedicated server and would like the dedicated server to have a ns3 / ns4.mydomain.com I also would like that the dedicated server be accessed by another domain (other than mydomain.com). I have just purchased a VPS with WHM and CPANEL. My old VPS used LXADMIN and HYPERVM. I'm trying to change over the DNS from the old to the new, so all i did was change the i.p's. Now i go into WHM and type my DNS servers into the setup/config page. Having already assigned each dns name an i.p im just waiting for the Assign an A address to this namserver button to show my new i.p address.. At the minute it says my old one. I get this on an add-on domain (cpanel) You don't have permission to access / on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Access DirectAdmin Site Without Domain - Possible With CPanel
I'm new to using directadmin and I've got a problem; I've not yet switched the DNS over to the directadmin server 'cause I want to make sure the sites work first, however I can't find how to view the sites. With cpanel you can go to http://192.168.1.1/~username (where 192.168.1.1 = IP of server and username is username of account). is this possible with directadmin? Cpanel Main Domain Not Allowing Subdomains
When trying to make a subdomain on my main cpanel domain, through cpanel, it acts like it is making it, and adds the dns entry, but it does not work. All other domains work fine. I submitted a ticket to buycpanel, they asked for the login information this morning, and have not heard back from them. This has happened every since they installed cpanel. Where Domain Document Root Settings Are In CPanel?
I've done some manual change of document root in httpd.conf for a user. I know that now, I don't need to to manual change since user can set there own folder! Now, If I rebuild Apache, he will re-do all the configuration to the original one. Where can I find the settings for domain document root so I can change it and EasyApache will rebuild the httpd.conf correctly? I don't want to remove the domain since I'll lost all email account!

Two main server have Whm/Cpanel. One run Cpanel Dns only. Main server have 7 ips each Dns server, only have 1 Let say we use domain xxx.com Right now we have ns1/ns2/ns3/ns4 point to server1 ns5/ns6/ns7 point to server2 We have no Nameserver that point to our dns only server for now. Domain Shows Default Green Cpanel Page
I don't know why but a domain is showing the green default cpanel page instead of its own homepage. The domain has been hosted on this box for a long time. DNS is fine, ran udpateuserdomains without error. No dns changes have been made. IP it is set to pings fine. Tested via 3rd party proxy, shows green cpanel page still. Shows proper IP in httpd.conf

I would like to create an SSL website for parts of my domain. I have a few VPS's one running cPanel, the others running just Webmin. Now I have managed to install SSL as I can login to WHM/cPanel using the secure port fine. Also I have installed SSL on the Webmin VPS's as I followed www.webmin.com/ssl.html which tells you how. Been browsing the site and would value your opinions. Addon domains are supplied by some webhosts and not others, one of the hosts who does not supply any addon domains puts across a good argument that they can overload a server if they get out of control. Sub Domain On Different Server Exim Unroutable Address - WHM/cPanel
I have two servers running cPanel/WHM, with BIND and Exim. I have my main domain running on one server (gizmo.mywebhost.net) and wish to host a seperate helpdesk on a subdomain support.mydomain.com (on a second server, stripe.mywebhost.net). The subdomain mail account test@support.mydomain.com works fine with hotmail, i can send and reveive between my stripe.mywebhost.net server and hotmail without any issue. The problem is when i try and send mails from accounts hosted on gizmo.mywebhost.net, to the subdomain server stripe.mywebhost.net, i get the following unroutable address error fired back by the local exim process: This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. Email From A Single Domain (university) Not Being Received At VPS/Cpanel
I have a problem where all email sent from uaccb.edu (studentmail.uaccb.edu [208.190.226.130]} is not arriving at my VPS. The people sending email from the above domain are not getting any errors, it is not being marked as spam, it is just being blackholed somehow. I have checked the above IP and domain, and can't find it on any blacklist, and I am using pretty standard cPanel setup on my VPS. I have spam set to be marked and receive a fair amount and have it autorouted to a folder rather than auto-deleted. From uaccb.edu, the only thing I have access to is Outlook Web Access to send test emails, and they are sent fine with no errors returned. If I send test emails to gmail and other similar email accounts, they go through fine, the only problem is to ANY domain hosted on my VPS. I have even recently transferred all the domains to a second VPS (with the same hosting company) at a different datacenter (for different reason) and the problem persists. Is there any WHM setting or any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

When a domain name is pointing to our server and the account is not setup yet, there's a default page that says:" Quote: Great Success! Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server If you can see this page, then the people who manage this server have installed cPanel and WebHost Manager (WHM) which use the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content. Addon Domains And Subdomains
I have a main domain "main.com" and when I make a new addon domain "new.com", it creates a new DNS Zone for "new.com" but also adds a subdomain DNS entry to main.com "new.main.com". I know that is very typical way that cpanel works, and I know there are ways to work around this by using .htaccess. What I am trying to discover is if removing the "new" subdomain DNS entry under main.com could cause any problems. Are there side effects? Will this break anything within my VPS?

CP Addon Scripts Not Working.
The scripts in the scripts library in Cpanel are not working for one client. I just installed a few add on scripts and when the client clicks on the link to install any of them the forms to fill in the details and install are not showing. They are working for all other clients, just one not working on one clients account.
