Cpanel- Recently Did A Transfer For A Client. Addon Domain Error
Well recently changed a clients site over to our servers.
I trying to help the guy by clearing out most of the unwanted stuff..
I try to delete some addon domains, but they state
"Error from park wrapper: Sorry, I do not believe you control the subdomain for 'domain'.com."
but he does own it.. and its infact in his account... unsure how to alter this, as there isnt any option in whm...

Addon Domain In Cpanel
I create a abc.com domain hosting in whm. then I login to abc.com cpanel to AddOn Domain. I try to addon xyz.com into abc.com cpanel. But when i enter to xyz.com website it always show "Great Success ! Apache is working on your cPanel and WHM™ Server" cPanel and Apache page. The domain is already more then 2 days and ping already propogate to server. May i know is httpd.conf or mod_security problem?

Cpanel AddOn Domains With Subdomains Automatically From Main Domain
Lets say I have abcd.com as the main domain on cpanel. abcd.com has 10 subdomains. Basically what I want to do is when I do an addon domain or parked domain I want the subdomains to basically point to abcd.com automatically. Let's say the addon/parked domain is 1234.com For example I have sub.abcd.com as the main subdomain so when I type in sub.1234.com I want it pointed to sub.abcd.com internally meaning the script/files from there however in the browser show as if it were sub.1234.com

Do Any Good Hosts Provide A CPanel That Keeps Addon Domain Lists In Order
I find that I like using CPanel with addon domains in a new unlimited domains shared plan rather than using WHM with each name having its own CPanel in a reseller plan (which I have been used to until now at another host). The only problem is that all the addon domains are out of order - they are not even in the order in which I add them. This puts a damper on things and makes managing them much less efficient than one would expect with the addons in order. After putting in a support ticket, I was told they can't do anything about it at all. They told me the order of the listing is the order in the "mail server apache configuration." After posting this matter here in the Apache forum, I have been informed by an SP member that the answer I got wouldn't hold any water at all, or more accurately, consists of a whole lot of smoke. As a person who knows how easy and basic it is to sort data lists or drop-down form selector fields myself, I must admit that it's hard to believe nothing can be done in the 21st century. I have no desire at all to go with another reseller plan, and like using CPanel instead with addons. Does anyone know of the good and well known unlimited domain hosting providers who keep the addon domains in order within CPanel? Is there any other good option for shared hosting that doesn't involve using WHM and does offer common sense multiple domain management where everything is in order?

Addon Domain
I have a domain with 2 addon domains added to it. Lets call the domain1.com and the addons are domain2.com and domain3.com I transfered the sites from one server to my server and know if I try to goto domain2.com or domain3.com they are not found. If I goto domain1.com/domain2 (or 3) it works just fine though. I tried to do the addon domain in cpanel but it is coming up with the following errors. Bind reloading on server using rndc zone: [domain1.com] The subdomain, domain2.domain1.com has been added. Error from park wrapper: domain2.com is already configured. Removed domain2.domain1.com Server at line: 1244. Removed Entry from httpd.conf Bind reloading on server using rndc zone: [domain1.com] The subdomain, domain2.domain1.com has been removed. domain2.com could not be setup. The subdomain domain2.domain1.com was not setup either. How can I fix this? I did try to make domain2 its own account after that, but the script did not work for some reason even though it does if I goto domain1.com/domain2. I know it must be something simple I am missing, but for the life of me I am drawing a blank. Also, I moved the site by doing a complete backup in Cpanel and uploaded that to the new server and restored it from the WHM backup screen.

Addon Domain
I currently have an established domain, mainsite.com, which is running PHP-Nuke on the directory /home, with a redirect accordingly. Now, I've created an addon domain, 2ndsite.com, for which I've installed Wordpress at the top-level. The trouble is, 2ndsite.com defaults to mainsite.com/home - unless I redirect 2ndsite.com to mainsite.com/2ndsite. If I do that, I can then see my WordPress installation. I'd obviously like to have 2ndsite.com be viewed from that address, as opposed to a subdir under mainsite.com - that is why I got the domain in the first place.

Parked On Addon Domain
Can a domain be parked on an addon domain in a cPanel server? At first thought I do not see it as a problem as a ServerAlias directive for the parked inside the addon domain Virtual Host container inside httpd.conf is all is required but cPanel may not allow for all it's wisdom. Let me know if cPanel would pose a problem or wouldn't allow this scenario.

Restoring Accounts To Addon Domain
Currently, 2 domains hosted on a dedicated server with each account having its own Cpanel. I'm going to move/migrate these 2 domains to a shared hosting server. The shared hosting accont has Cpanel and I've added 2 Add-on domains (the same ones on the dedicated). In total, there are 3 domains under the shared hosting account; The main domain and the 2 other (add-on) domains. My question is it possible to restore these 2 accounts under a single cpanel account and having all the emails intact? Addon Domain, Cant Have Password Protected Folders
I have 2 domains on 1 account. My main website is www.aviationcafe.net and i added on www.modelcuir.com thats what it looks like to the public. But with my host it will be www.modelcuir.aviationcafe.net. I noticed in the files area that modelcuir is it's own file, i can password protect that but it will stop people getting onto the website completly and i only want to stop them getting into the members area. I can't create a members area either unless i can add a new folder which i can't i dont think.

E-mail From Addon Domain Flagged As Junk
I have an addon domain running on my webhosting along side my primary account. I am mostly using the Thunderbird client to send e-mails. 80% of the time when I send a mail out from "name@addondomain.com" hotmail, gmail, yahoo all see it as spam! What's ironic is I receive more darn adult e-mails in my free accounts than anything else, and yet it's thinking the occasional mass personal message is SPAM? So these guys that flood my inbox daily must know something I don't? Is there something I'm doing incorrectly? Or do I need to change a hosting package setting, should I use different software such as a php mailing list?

Addon Domains Vs Separate Domain Pros/cons
I'm trying to understand more the Pro's and Con's for having an Addon Domain vs Separate domain. Here's my use for it. Site1.com holds all the files, Site2.com holds all the video and images. When it comes time to add a second server (end of this year) I could move Site2.com to a second server and nfs mount it. Thats of the site is separate. PROBLEM: separate site means permission problems, when write code ie.php you can unlink / move files without permission which means setting up special groups. Addon domain doesn't have the permission problem from what I can see, since the domain gets the group access of the Mainsite. so no extra configuration required. now the problem would be how do I get that addon domain to a second server to offload some of the resources.

I am not a reseller, but I currently use a reseller account to manage several separate sites of mine. I know that it is possible under a standard cPanel account to have addon domains, where the html files go in a subfolder of the main domain. If you do this: - is it possible for people to access the addon site files using www.maindomain/addondomain, and if so can you stop this? - do you still get separate email addresses and spamassassin settings for the addon domain? - do you get separate web server logs for each domain, for stats? - is there any other reason why it might still be better to pay more for a reseller account so that each site can be managed completely separately?

Addon & Subdomain On CPANEL
I got many complaints from our customer that are using addon domain facilites. They cannot add mail account, see site stats, etc. I checked on /var/cpanel/users, there's no domain for addon domain they have but DNS zone is still there. When I log in to their CPANEL, addon domain was still there too. Anyone have the same issues? We have this problem raised since about 2 weeks ago on 4 of our servers.

I recently had my IPs changed for my VPS, which meant I had to update the DNS. MySQL Error: Client Does Not Support Authentication Protocol
"Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client" I upgraded from MySQL 4 to 5 and everything was fine for about a week. On Monday, I get the error above. From what I've read, this is the oldpassword/new password hash error that I can fix in about 2 minutes on my server. However, this is on a Parcom server, and Parcom has been sloooowww to react. Can anyone think of another reason why this would be coming up? It's running fine on 3 other PCs that I run as a backup. I've dropped the database twice and rebuilt it twice, still with the same error. Ditto for the user/pass.

Mystery Mirror/Mirroring My Client's Site Is On Another Domain But Why?
I'm having an issue with a client site and I am not sure what to do at this point. Conversations with the host (GoDaddy) haven't led to a solution and to be honest, I'm not sure it's their issue to handle although I will be firing off an email to their domain dispute department shortly. I spoke with a couple of supervisors there and they were as baffled as I am. Here's the situation: When people Google the name of the client's business, it returns their site but on a different domain. The entire site is there, nothing is changed but the URL. It's like having an unintentional mirror site except that none of the forms work which is what tipped off the users that something was wrong but of course, they don't notice that they're not actually on 'www.clientsite.com' so they think it's just a form error when in actuality, they're not even at the right domain. There is really no way for this other domain to profit from mirroring the client's site; it's just a business profile type of thing with a few forms for contact, employment applications and vendor applications. No secure info is transmitted other than perhaps the occasional email address but we're not talking a heavy volume site, it's a niche market and really not something that would be a typical target. There's no eCommerce, no subscriptions, no financial info. I'm at a total loss. Could this happen if this other site is hosted on the same server as my client's site? Could it be an actual error of some sort or would it have to be intentional? The whois for this bogus site leads to DomainsbyProxy.com and I'll be sending them a letter as well but I'd really appreciate any input you all might have on HOW this could happen. Should I also contact Google?

Client Can't Log In To Cpanel
I've got cPanel 11.24.5-R37127 - WHM 11.24.2 - X 3.9 CENTOS 4.7 i686 standard on server A hosted client suddenly can't log in to her cpanel. I can login just fine with her user/pass and another gal can too. But she can't. She says it just keeps asking for the password over and over. I had her clear her cache and cookies, and reboot her pc, but that did no good at all. Might this be a server issue or a browser issue?

How Do I Transfer The Domain
so this has been a drug out longer process than I realized it would be. I've never sold a website and I figured this would be a quick two-button process. I asked Host Gator what I needed to do and they told me to register the domain at Enom and then they would send me the EPP code. Well, I registered with Enom, sent them proof it was really me, and they told me I could view the EPP code on Enomcentral Well, I had contacted Enom and they told me that I had to ask Host Gator for help as they were responsible for helping clients with these types of issues. So, I contacted Host Gator and they referred me back to Enom... this is kind of pissing me off. My customer bought the website and domain and I've made an entire backup of the directory and he has that but the only thing left is to transfer the domain name to his preferred choice "Freeparking.com" and I just want to know how to do that. I noticed now the domain is under hostgator domains and all I need is the EPP code. Has anyone ever had to transfer a domain through Enomcentral and how in the holy hell do you find the EPP code?

So I went onto 1and1 to register my domain name. I went into the account today to cancel and have it transferred over to my host that I selected today. I recieve this email from my new host: We have received your domain transfer order for xxx***********, however we haven't processed your order yet since we noticed that the domain status currently shows: status: CLIENT-TRANSFER-PROHIBITED It is likely because you registered the domain name recently. As per ICANN guidelines, a domain can be transferred 60 days after registering only. You can confirm the reason by checking it with your current domain registrar. We request you to re-submit the domain transfer order after that. **So the other day when folks were telling me to buy a domain name from a cheap place no one said I would be stuck for 60 days. And when I spoke to 1and1 today they never said it would not transfer either..

What Happens W/a Domain Transfer
First let me say how glad I am to have found this forum (I just wish I found it sooner!) I have posted a few times this week here, and am learning so much! And I have oh-so-many questions, so please bear with me A little history.....I was w/freewebs for a few years as a free member, and recently I completely jumped to a premium member, without doing research (I didn't know any better at the time, but believe me I've learned my lesson) I bought (2) domain names the beginning of this month (Oct 9th). I read something about a 60 day wait before transfers can be done. I also paid for the full year on both names (I do have a ticket in w/freewebs for the auth code....another member of this forum gave me phone#'s if I have trouble getting the auth#) If I am not able to obtain the auth# from freewebs, I still want to move forward w/signing on with gatorhost....I was thinking of changing only one letter of my domain name. But if I do end up being able to transfer my domain name from freewebs to gatorhost, would I be able to create a whole new website with gatorhost under that domain name? My current domain/website is www.aphaperformancehorses.com, but if I'm able to change that to gatorhost, what happens when people type in that address? Will they end up being directed to my freewebs site? And what happens to my freewebs site, do I need to delete it? Or should, for now, I just cough it up to "a lesson learned

I looked at quite a few hosting companies, but I found out .co.uk domains can only be transferred by EU companies. Anyone Here With Volumedrive Having Outages Recently
2nd time now server within 24hrs is down, not sure whats happening. Anyone with volumedrive facing same issues, or i am just being unlucky. Am still awaiting a thorough reply to last nights downtime. Info To Transfer Domain Out Of IX Hosting
Summary on Issue I have with IX Hosting I am disappointed on the option provide to me by IX webhosting to resolved my issue. Summary: 1. My hosting and domain was handle by a previous staff which is charge to a CC belong to that staff. 2. The staff was fired and he filled a chargeback with his CC without me knowing it on the hosting. 3. Account was then suspended and there isn't anything that I can do about it. Option left for me: 1. Nothing that IX webhosting is able to do beside asking me to recontact my ex staff to contact his bank which is not possible (the case was closed by the bank according to my ex staff when i was able to contact him). 2. Spending another 1 - 2 year time to rebuilt another website to bring in traffic since the url and hosting are frozen by IX webhosting. 3. Filled a complain to complain board and point this problem out to public where an admin or account making payment for URL and hosting can screwed up the company at any one point while hosting with IX webhosting.

Moving A Client From Linux Cpanel To Windows Plesk
i would like to move few clients from my old linux VPS that runs on Cpanel .. to my new windows VPS tat runs Plesk .. you see there were several attempts by new provider .. they cant guarantee that accounts can be fully migrated even manually they only copied site files to new server .. the client account's still running on linux vps cpanel, they are intact .. clients dont have any php or mysql files they are just plain HTML and Flash files .. i can move site files .. im concerned about mail accounts and emails that already in my clients inbox (they are using IMAP accounts) .. do you guys know any guideline or step by step how to migrate my clients P.S. please consider me as an uneducated person .. my background is designing not programming or network administration.

Recently Recieved An Email From Spamcop.net
Now they stated this.. but im totally unsure what it means. If anyone knows. what section is for what... i only see the ip once, that they reported the spam come from 66.79.165.30. Question On Cpanel Transfer
Hi guys, I have an old vm that i want to move a new one. one of the site is my main site that has WHMCS with static IP and Comodo SSL. THis is between Cpanel to another. Would everything transfer seamlessly if I use the Cpanel transfer? I mean there's nothing i have to transfer manually?
