Can you tell me....Why is yahoo marking my mail as junk?
Can anyone tell me what the likely causes are for yahoo to be marking my emails to clients as junk? We have reverse DNS set up for the server's main IP address, and I'm just not too savvy on the email technicalities of today.
I'll be happy to give you any information you need to help me diagnose the problem. It's getting irritating having to call my clients and tell them to dig the mail out of their junk folder.
All my Mxtools are ok... No problem with it ... Not in blacklist ...
Spoiler: Spam List Test Result SMTP Banner Check OK - 151.80.148.113 resolves to ns1.elattal.com SMTP Reverse DNS Mismatch OK - Reverse DNS matches SMTP Banner SMTP TLS OK - Supports TLS. SMTP Connection Time 0.967 seconds - Good on Connection time SMTP Open Relay OK - Not an open relay.
Did microsoft require your host email them and say "[you] have exclusive sending rights for this IP"?
Here is the part of the email from microsoft:
xx, unfortunately, we have not received an e-mail confirmation from your ISP, [host], for your IP x.x.x.x. Please ask them to re-send the e-mail confirmation to [email] with the [id] subject. Please also ask them to include you on the "To" or "Cc" field in case that we fail to receive their e-mail confirmation.
Is this a requirement for everybody?
I signed up for AOL's junk reporting program a few months ago and I didn't have to bother anybody about it.
If I recall correctly, all AOL cared about was whether or not my reverse DNS was set properly.
I have an addon domain running on my webhosting along side my primary account. I am mostly using the Thunderbird client to send e-mails. 80% of the time when I send a mail out from "name@addondomain.com" hotmail, gmail, yahoo all see it as spam!
What's ironic is I receive more darn adult e-mails in my free accounts than anything else, and yet it's thinking the occasional mass personal message is SPAM?
So these guys that flood my inbox daily must know something I don't?
Is there something I'm doing incorrectly? Or do I need to change a hosting package setting, should I use different software such as a php mailing list?
So, I have been searching everywhere online and have not come to a fully working conclusion with the issue regarding outgoing emails going to spam via gmail, hotmail, etc.Domain keys are activated, but it seems that domain keys is deprecated, making it useless when it comes to spam detection for email servers such as google, aol, etc.
The only alternative found was here: URL.....But that means that every customers DKIM will have to be created manually via command line. This would be a mission when having over 500+ ongoing customers signing up.Will you guys be implementing DKIM automation for Plesk? I am pretty much against trying to use c(p)anel + Centos and just love Plesk. So I prefer Plesk any day..
I am looking for an expert who can help me configure my dedicated server to ensure my email gets delivered to Yahoo.
I have an autoresponder script hosted on the server. The script was previously hosted with another host and I got excellent deliverability to Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail and everyone else.
Unfortunately the volume of mail was too large for that host, so now I have a dedicated server. Since I moved to the dedicated server (two weeks ago), my mail does not get delivered to Yahoo. It doesn't even go into the junk mail folder. It just disappears.
I am very strictt about using confirmed optin for my lists, so it's not a blacklist issue. Right from day one on the new server, my mail did not reach Yahoo. So it must be the way my server is set up.
If there is someone who knows how to resolve this, I am willing to pay you to solve the problem for me. Or, if there is anyone who can give me some advice, that would be much appreciated.
business is just getting out of hand. I applied several weeks ago for Whitelist status, and my issues finally went away for a little over a week (though I never received a response to my Postmaster requests). But then today -bam- 100% deferrals for going on 18 hours now, not a single message has gone through. And naturally no two Yahoo servers give me the same error message.
So...
At this point I'm ready to contract out my Outbound mail to Yahoo through a whitelisted 3rd party until I can get this resolved on my end. Would this be reasonable? Is anyone else doing this? I worked with an outsourced SMTP provider in another life for an internal company mailing list with good success.
i want to download all my mails using outlook express but yahoo says we have to pay for pop3 access and have to upgrade to mailplus for $ 20. is there any other ways to download mails directly to my desktop by outlook what are the configuration settings of outlook express, let me know
i have a issue on my WHM/Cpanel Linux Server. I have hosted few vbulletin and IPB forums. Problem is that, when someone REGISTERS the CONFIRMATION email is sent to JUNK/SPAM in Hotmail and Yahoo email boxes.
I have noted that The Confirmation emails sent from many other servers are NOT MARKED as spam by Yahoo and Hotmail email accounts. But the mails sent from My servers are marked as SPAM by default.
I have pasted the headers below:
Here are headers
Mails sent from this server works fine. Received-SPF: pass (google.com: domain of webmaster@vbulletin.org designates 209.62.16.134 as permitted sender) client-ip=209.62.16.134; Authentication-Results: mx.google.com; spf=pass (google.com: domain of webmaster@vbulletin.org designates 209.62.16.134 as permitted sender) smtp.mail=webmaster@vbulletin.org
Mails sent from this server are sent to SPAM folder by default:
Received-SPF: neutral (google.com: 66.90.101.249 is neither permitted nor denied by domain of zahidon_4u@yahoo.com) client-ip=66.90.101.249; Authentication-Results: mx.google.com; spf=neutral (google.com: 66.90.101.249 is neither permitted nor denied by domain of zahidon_4u@yahoo.com) smtp.mail=zahidon_4u@yahoo.com
One thing i am sure is there is something that needs to be fixed in WHM. Some option but i am not sure of that.
Message is waiting at xxx.xxxxx.xxx for delivery to e.mx.mail.yahoo.com.
Reason: Mail Server for yahoo.com could not accept your email at this time. MailEnable will keep trying to deliver this message and will notify you of any progress.
After a while, then i could telnet to e.mx.mail.yahoo.com port 25. Sometimes it can't.
i have problem in my server from 2 weeks ago server stop sending mail to yahoo and hotmail but to gmail send good without any problem i make SPF and add it for all domains after that mail worked Good in 1 day after that the problem come again
I'm trying to send mails to yahoo and hotmail from my vps and the result was the mail ended up in Spam folder in yahoo and didn't receive any mails in hotmail. When I check the Full MEssage Header in yahoo, the sender was "Sender: Nobody <nobody@host.mydomain.com>" Do I have to set to a name or something ?
My rDNS and SPF was set up correctly, I think. domainkeys=neutral (no sig)
I have contacted hotmail asking why automated emails such as registration verification are being blocked and they said that my server's IP was on a blacklist for spam. I never spam and I do not think a bot has phished using my server's IP. Anyway, if I were to switch server IPs would that solve the problem?
