Just had another new server setup, and webmail is playing up.
What I am getting is when clicking webmail, and entering the username and password (or email address and password) it loads then says 'Incorrect user or password' even thought they are correct.
I have tried fixing email permissions, it was successful, however still the same problem.
I logged into horde and when I try to delete messages I am getting the following error message:
There was an error deleting messages from the folder "Inbox". This is what the server said: [TRYCREATE] Mailbox does not exist.
Can anyone help me sort this out? I rely on email for my business and this is driving me nuts.
search in internet and find this solution
Quote:
Solution: Check "When deleting messages, move them to your Trash folder instead of marking them as deleted?" in Horde IMP preferences under "Options" -> "Deleting and Moving Messages". If there is set "Trash folder:" option as "None", Disable that option or select the correct trash folder.
but unfortunately in "options" don't find any "Deleting and Moving Messages" and Trash folder too :-(
After I logged in to Cpanel, I created a webmaster@mydomain.com email account. Then I go to webmail to login. I have tried using the full email address in the
Horde Mail gives this error:
Quote:
Login failed because your username or password was entered incorrectly.
Notice: Unknown(): Login failed. (errflg=1) in Unknown on line 0
Notice: Unknown(): Login failed. (errflg=1) in Unknown on line 0
Notice: Unknown(): Login failed. (errflg=1) in Unknown on line 0
Notice: Unknown(): Too many login failures (errflg=2) in Unknown on line 0
And SquirrelMail gives:
Quote:
Unknown user or password incorrect.
The thing is, I am sure I entered the correct user name and password.
Any idea how I could fix this problem?
I have phpsuexec enabled. This shouldn't be a problem, I hope.
currently I'm havin an issue with my webmail. I'm using plesk, CF, windows server 2003. ... all the emails stay in the spool. I constantly have to restart to move them out... but they continually lag in the spool again...
When I change servers, is it possible to transfer all the emails, folders, address book, etc, in old Webmail account to new Webmail account on the new server?
I am going to transfer my Website onto a new webhost. The new webhosting company tell me that when I transfer the domain over to them, I will have to recreate the email accounts and will lose my current webmail. Ideally I don't want to lose my emails!
I just purchased an almost bare VPS and installed Cpanel myself. Problem is the mail is not working right. I connect, try and login and repeatedly get Login Failed. I've tried re-creating the emails accounts, i've tried the default mail account that gets created, and i've tried logging into the webmail with the same login problems. I've also telneted to my server from my pc fine, but once again the login just fails. This made me look towards there being a server misconfiguration... because these are newly created mail accounts with correctly entered details. In WHM, i tried restarting the POP3 service and the output doesn't look usual..
Attempting to restart cppop Waiting for cppop to restart.... . . . . . . . . . . finished.
cppop status couriertcpd is disabled Service: [cppop] has been disabled by the sys admin
Not sure if it's related or how to fix it... could really use the help since all my mail will probably get dropped after DNS propogation goes thru =/
I have a Windows 2003 server running Plesk 8.3, Mailenable with Horde IMP webmail client. I have installed Anti-Spam SMTP Proxy (ASSP) [url] on my server to counter SPAM.
I have configured it with the instructions found here - [url]This configuration works perfectly apart from one issue - whenever I try to send emails from my Horde IMP webmail interface, I get an error saying "unable to set sender to [emailaccount at domain]".
If I deactivate ASSP everything works fine.
I believe this is not an issue with ASSP since no one's complaining on ASSP forums. I posted this issue there and someone suggested it had something to do with how Horde IMP tries to send emails. I posted this to Horde's mailing list too but no one ever answered.
I have just started to to set up a new site, I purchased the hosting 2 days ago from InnoHosting. I tested sending emails from my webmail and in windows live hotmail they are being sent to junk. I have used other hosts before and their webmail was fine not sending to junk. This is a problem with my host yes? I have contacted them but just wondering what you guys might think is wrong. BTW I have checked the IP and it is not blacklisted.
a client get the following error message when he tries to send an attach of 13 mb with horde
Quote:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 36859419 bytes) in /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/lib/php/Net/SMTP.php on line 836
and as far as i know: 36859419 < 134217728, so i dont know why it shows that error.
btw the memory limit in the php.ini is of 48 mb (quite a lot) so i dont know where else i have to look.
I want to remove my authentication popup which is getting when login through webmail like (www.mydomain.com/webmail) and you can see in an attachment .
I have reseller space with United Hosting and they provide a default online webmail app called SqurrelMail for my and my clients websites.
It's perfectly fine for my clients, but I do use my webmail everyday and the thing is I'm finding it increasingly hard to use it everyday as it's a little too basic for me... So I wondered, is it perfectly fine for me to install another third party one and use that as my main online email center?
If so, what options are there? Would really like a decent, solid (preferably free) online email client I could connect to my reseller space to use for organising my emails...
I have having some issues with sending/receiving email. I have the following running on my linux virtual dedicated server with godaddy:
Postfix IMAP Squirrelmail(webmail)
My problem is: I can logon through webmail using the domain account but I cannot logon using any email accounts I created. I can also send emails out from the server from the command line i.e.:
root@myserver.com# echo "test" | mail -s testsubject someemail@hotmailorwherever.com
So instead of using webmail, I tried using OUTLOOK and experienced the same issue. I can logon using the domain/system account but not any using any of the email accounts i created using simple control panel.
I am setting up a server with multiple domains on windows 2008. I am using mail server and I am looking at putting webmail on it. I would like to have people access www.domain.com/mail and get to the webmail interface. Would I use virtual directories for this?
I've been onto my hosting company numerous times and they keep asking me to contact them when this problem happens again, it's a vicious circle as when it does they ask me to wait for it to "happen again".
Cpanel X comes with my hosting account, obviously the standard webmail programs, which I actually don't use but in this case they serve as a solution. I've set up two e-mail addresses according to my domain name, I receive the e-mail through Mozilla Thunderbird which have all the correct POP3 settings etc etc.
Around 10-20 times a month, all of a sudden I will stop receiving my e-mail, Thunderbird will refuse to download the inbox and sometimes returns a timeout error.
I log into the account via the webmail software "horde" to find all my mails stacked up and that some of them do not have a KB measurement. Please see the below screenshot
[url]
If I "delete" these e-mails without the KB measurement my mail box will then be downloaded by Thunderbird.
I'm completely stumbled as to why this happens. It doesn't seem to be any particular e-mails which arrive like this to the box, sometimes they can be junk but other times business e-mails which have been downloaded perfectly fine before.
I've deleted and setup the e-mail accounts several times from Cpanel. Triple checked all my mail client settings and nothing jumps out at me.
I have run a server for some time with no troubles. All of a sudden the server will not allow outlook, outlook express, eudora etc to send emails. I can connect and receieve emails fine, but sending is another matter. I get a connection timed out message when I attempt to connect and send emails.
Sending email via Horde Webmail works 100% fine, it only seems to be when you send from a client side email app.
what might be causing this, or where to start looking? My experience with Linux is very, very limited.
I have a Plesk server. Plesk by default uses the Horde webmail software. I was wondering if there is a more powerful, better tool for webmail out there that also works with Plesk. All feedback is appreciated.
One cPanel account out of the entire server is the only one affected. This one user, can not login to POP3 or Webmail for any of his email accounts.
I have checked the permissions and file owner/group on the files and folders in: /home/USERNAME/mail/* and /home/USERNAME/etc/*
I have also tried restarting the POP3 service and cPanel. I have verified his passwd file has correct permissions and is in the correct format. I have tried resetting his email passwords. I have even tried too create a new email account.
Still.. No POP3 / Webmail access.
His email accounts are listed in cPanel.
I have installed ConfigServer Mail Manage (WHM Addon), and his domain will NOT show his email accounts (of course all other domains on the server are fine).
I know this is probably a configuration file or a file permission problem somewhere... I just can't find where!
I have been having consistent problems with my VPS where I can't access my webmail from public WiFi areas (coffee shops etc). Tonight it happened at a hotel wifi area; my web host had me telnet using ports 2082 2083 and 2086 which all failed. My web host says the ports for webmail are 2095 and 2096 which also failed and often non-standard ports are blocked.
Is this correct? I travel a lot so not being able to access my mail is a big problem. This is a VPS problem as it happens to all domains hosted on the VPS. What are my options? I have a lot of other webmail services (separate from this vps) that I never have trouble with.
I want to run a local Mail Server + Webmail Client (opensource. I googled and I found hmailserver[server] and Roundcube [webmail]. the problem that i can't config any of them How have an other alternative for mail server or a solution
