Sqlserver2005
when I find the subscription from the admin side of PPA, if I select "Login as user" I've noticed that it is different from actually logging in as the user - for example - "add domain alias" is missing when I login as a customer - but not as an admin... I need my customers to add their own aliases and manage them - how do I add that feature to the client login side?
i can not login to my decated server by using root. the password is not correct.. becasue i did something wrong with my server. i used chmod 777 -R /public_hmtl and chown to modify my server. and i can not login anymore, LT asked me to reload my server, do i need to reload it?
I have done the migration with the Migration Manager from Confixx to Plesk 12.0.18. Users can login tho the mail account with Outlook, thats no problem(old password is working). If the webmailer is set to Hord the user also can login. But if i switch to roundcube it is not possible to login to the Webmailer! You get the message "Die Anmeldung ist fehlgeschlagen." (Login failed)
After changing the email password in plesk, it is then possibe to login(even if the new password is identical to the old one)?!?
Is this a known bug? Is there a solution for that?!? I really don't want to email every customor to ask him to change his password?!
Browse to www.mydomain.com/webmail and get login box > login accepted and taken to Horde/Squirrelmail choice screen > choose Squirrelmail and get login box ... login not accepted! > Retry and choose Horde ... login not accepted!
The login is correct and the results are the same when logging in as root, or through /cPanel or /Webmail.
I thought I knew enough about my .htaccess stuff to do this, but I can't seem to work it out. What I want to do is if a user visits domain.com/folder, we check to see if the folder exists. If so, show as normal (IE domain.com/support)
If a user visits domain.com/dynamicusername (dynamicusername is not a physical folder), redirect to dynamicusername.domain.com
I am in search of windows host supporting .net 2.0 and sql 2005 and atleast 2 domains (3 will be good). I need around 3 gb space and 20gb bandwidth is enough. My maximum I have checked the offers section and other posts here and below are the shortlisted hosts:
discountasp eukhosts appliedi exabytes
Can someone who's using them give a suggestion/feedback or else can suggest one?
I am curious what "methods" Windows providers out there use to deploy Windows Server to Virtual Machines using Virtual Server 2005 when the machine is "remote" at a datacenter.
i had access in some servers via SSH and when i try to connect i get:
Welcome to The HOST! login as: nickname -------------------------- We monitor/log everything on that server! IP Logged! -------------------------- nickname@host's password: .............
I know that there is the motd file in /etc that i can put a message but i see it when i full be recognized by the server.. (after putting the password).. How can i put the other 2 messages?
I am looking for a company to host a relatively simple data driven ASP.Net 3.5 website and a MS SQL 2005 database. There will be minimal traffic on the website as it is for a small business and also minimal media will need to be hosted. Features like Ajax should of course also be enabled.
Data security is of importance although as the developer of the site, I would like the flexibility of being able to configure the database (run scripts) through management studio remotely.
Email features will also eventually be required.
The company should ideally be based in the UK and decent support id (and when) the need arises.
Any recommendations? What sort of price range should I be looking at?
Most companies seem to support MySQL- but this is not flexible.
I have built a website based off of The Beer House template/book and am about ready to launch it. I need SQL server 2005, and ASP.net functionality. I will either use the included forum module or am considering a third party forum such as aspplayground.net.
I would like to spend $10-$20/month, I don't mind paying a bit extra to have a fast loading site, but I don't want to spend too much. I would appreciate any suggestions.
The database will handle the forums, the store, the users of course, and a custom database I am building for some vehicle information. To start out the database is not very big (maybe 20mb), but I expect it to grow to support the forums and users, etc.
Also, I have already built a database (mdf) file on my computer through visual studio 2008. Is it true most shared hosting accounts wont allow you the access to copy and paste the database file directly? I don't really want to have to recreate all these tables on the host server.
I have several gigs worth of data which my programmer wants to put into MS SQL 2005. But the last time I check, MS SQL comes in blocks of only a few MB (eg 200MB for $25).
Now if I have 10GB of data, that yould cost me like...thousands?).
One solution is to use mysql which is free of course, but the website is done in ASP.NET. How will this affect performance?
Also, is there any other way which I can purchase SQL 2005 myself? If yes, how much for one domain name?
i am finding a MSSQL 2005 server for one of my application for my client.
Actually, it is a small business program. It will not have a heavy load on the server.
Do any hosting packages company for that with reasonable price? It is not a website. It is a C# software application. So the port will not be 21 or some web port.
I would like a VPS account, but the problem for me is that my site is asp.net and has a MS SQL 2005 database. From the research I have done so far, it appears that only the shared hosting solutions provide a MS SQL database, and if I go with a VPS solution I have to own and install my own copy of MS SQL. Is this correct? Does anybody know of a VPS solution that would also provide me with a MS SQL 2005 database as well? I can't afford to pay $5000+ for MS SQL 2005 Standard Ed.
I have a sql server 2005 database which is 5gb. My current host only allows 2gb and charges and obscene amount for extra space. Does anyone know of an inexpensive host that I can put a 5gb database 2005 on? It doesn't need much bandwidth, it will just be for storage/archive purposes.
I am using SQL 2005 Express Management Console in the CTP version, but when I upgrade to the release version, it can't login. Do I need to upgrade the SQL 2005 Express to Service Pack 2 first before it can login? Anyone facing similiar issues?
Secondly is there anyway I can upgrade from SQL 2005 Express to SQL 2005 Express Advance version?
Knowing that Port 1433 is one of the most attacked ports, I am thinking whether I should just change the default port of my new MS SQL 2005 installation, but issue is, what will be the disadvantages to users if I do so?
Just wanted to know how prevalent VS 2005 is now. We are basically virtualizing everything that moves as it is easier to upgrade to a new server and move the VPS around. Also we get to control the reboots etc.
A client of mine took over a website and transferred it to a new server. It uses SQL Server 2005. It is coded in VB/asp.net and I have all of the web content but not the original vb source. I thought everything was working, but an important part of the site apparently uses databasemail and is hard coded to use a particular profile.
Sooo.. I setup Database Mail, enabled it, created a profile and mail account, tested it, etc and got it working just fine. However, the website is trying to use a particular profile name and I have no clue what it is. My client is unable to get in touch with the former owner of the site at this point either due to political reasons. Therefore, I am getting this error:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: profile name is not valid profile name is not valid at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at RER.signup.subAddContact() in C:UsersDusanVSWebCache....etc
I tried guessing obvious profile names. I tried running Network Monitor, but it can't capture the raw SQL queries due to it being a local SQL server. I looked into SQL Profiler, but I am running Workgroup Edition of SQL Server 2005 so it is not included. My next idea is to maybe place the database on a remote machine and have the website connect to it remotely so I can snoop the network traffic and maybe pick up the profile name. That is going to be a big pain however.
Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions on what else I can do to pull this profile name? Is there some way to trick SQL server into accepting a wildcard for a profile name or SOMETHING? It is such a minor issue and I feel like it should be a lot easier to solve than it has been!
I have never upgraded SQL 2005 express edition before thats why a bit worried. What is the safest way to upgrade it to Service Pack 1? Secondly the management console upgrade. Which to upgrade first the SQL or the SQL Express Management console?
I recently signed up with cartikahosting.com only to find out they do not support SQL server 2005 when I tried to install my application.
Their features and price are excellent so I would like to stay with cartika if possible, is there a way to convert my database to 2000? Or backup the database using sql server scripts?
I bought Windows Vista Ultimate OEM and installed it on the physical machine, can I install Virtual Server 2005 and install the ultimate OEM version again on the VIRTUAL server 2005??
I run MySql but I hate to run it on the physical machine, want to run on a virtual machine.
asp.net 2.0 + mssql server 2005 + ajaxtoolkit support
I need windows hosting with asp.net 2.0 + mssql server 2005 + ajaxtoolkit support for a website project that is being developed. It can probably be launched on shared hosting, but I would prefer at least a VPS. With any success this site would eventually need to be hosted on a dedicated server.
I have been offered a 1U Dell server for free with Windows Server 2003, Dual Xenon Processors, 2 GB ram and 2 x 80gb hard drives. It would probably serve the site well for a long time, but I would need to set it up (or get it setup $) for the above requirements and get it colocated somewhere. BTW, I'm not too familiar with Windows hosting.
To launch the site, I don't really want to spend more than $100 per month. And I'd prefer to stay in the $50 per month range if possible.
Open to any and all suggestions, comments, questions at this point? I've searched and see a lot of suggestions for shared hosting, but I'd really like your opinions on colocating the dedicated server.
