I created a MS SQL 2012 DB server node. It installed MS SQL and also IIS to the node. Therefore this server is now showing it will host both IIS sites and MS SQL sites. However, I do not want it to host IIS sites, just databases. But I cannot remove the host from the IIS attribute. How would I do this to ensure no IIS sites get created on this Database server? BTW, the MS SQL 2008 node only installs MS SQL 2008, not also IIS. Not sure why 2012 is different.
In the end, I should be able to determine which nodes I want to be called into service depending on the service template/resource. For example, if I want a reseller to use only certain servers, then I should be able to create resources with only those servers in them which I can then assign to resellers.
If users copy files/folders on Plesk Panel 11/12 with attribute "read-only", I don't see this attribute on File Manager, every time do next "attrib -r <path to file/folder".
Maybe you can improve functionality of "File Manager" on Plesk Panel 12?

On a clean install of CentOS 6.6 (Final) I did the following:
1. updated the /etc/hosts file to point my ip to the hostname
2. Open the ports in the iptables file.
3. ran the ppa_installer per the instructions on [URL] ....
The ppa_installer log says installed Successfully. However the following occurs:
1. Cannot browse to the url:8443, or any of the other variations (8080, 8880, https/http)
2. Yum installer is now broken (I replicated this twice). Yum will not run at all with the following error:
There was a problem importing one of the Python modules required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was: /usr/lib64/libcurl.so.4: file too short
Please install a package which provides this module, or verify that the module is installed correctly. It's possible that the above module doesn't match the
current version of Python, which is: 2.6.6 (r266:84292, Jan 22 2014, 09:42:36) [GCC 4.4.7 20120313 (Red Hat 4.4.7-4)]
I am now going to try Cent OS 6.4.. will report back.
I've been searching for a way to add custom attributes into an LDAP schema. At first I didn't know if it was possible, but I guess it is. What I can't seem to find out now, is how to add them? Do I have to make a custom schema & upload it? How do I go about adding these fields? This all stems from me using other attributes for different functions, ie ( I'm using the employeeNumber field to determine if someone is allowed internet access. What I would like to do is make an attribute called inetAccess and use that instead.)
I'm using OpenLDAP on a Linux OS (SuSE). Anyone have any experience in adding custom attributes, or custom schemas? Or can anyone direct me to where I would find the answers?
I am running Apache2 server (version 2.2.16) on Debian Linux.
My document root for directory listings is set and in that folder I have a few other files to configure the formatting and visual effects. These are:
images(folder) sorttable.js style.css index.php
These files make the root directory look very nice. If I navigate in to a subdirectory, all of the formatting and visual effects are lost and the standard text layout is shown. Is there a way I can get ALL subdirectories in the root directory to take on the visual and layout effects from the root directory?
I know it works if I manually copy each of the files to each of the subdirectories which would be fine, but the subdirectories are created dynamically and new ones are added regularly.
Using Plesk 12 on CentOS, I'm unable to remove an old expired SSL certificate from one of my domains. It's not actually associated with any other domains either, although the Plesk value of 'Used' is > 1.
Please see this screenshot:
The 'retail' certificate above 'retail 2015' it isn't actually on any other domains - I've checked. So how can I remove it? I can see the 'psa' mysql table, is it safe to remove from there?
I've installed a replacement for the SSL certificate that we use for shared SSL and Plesk access.
How do I get rid of the old one and get Plesk to use the new one for shared SSL and Plesk access?
When I try to delete it I get the message "Error: Unable to remove certificates: one or several certificates are assigned to the IP addresses/domains."
I've found a lot of old suggestions about removing it from the IP, but they don't seem to apply to Plesk 11 for Windows.
When I go to Home -> Tools & Settings -> IP Addresses -> [IP Address] , it shows the domain being used but there's no way to remove it.
I installed a new ssl certificate, changed it to be default and secure Plesk, switched the IP to use it. Now I wanted to remove the old one but it shows me that there is still one usage of this cert and I can't remove it. But how can I find what is using it?
I tried to remove the ssl certificate but although I have removed it from the IP I'm getting an error that it is still assigned to it. The solution in [URL] .... didn't work cause the Certificate field is grey out in my case.
Plesk 12 will not do it and if you reinstall it you get errors after installation. Maybe a bug but seems nobody is interested in answering my question before.
I tried to remove by
apt-get remove --purge sw-nginx dpkg -r sw-ningx
Both of them display that is removed but after a new installation are the folders not created and maybe old files not overwritten if not deleted.
My Parallels Plesk Panle 11.0.9 (Windows 2008 r2) would not allow me to remove an old IP address. I've tried using PP Reconfigurator but encountered a problem:
1. I open PP Reconfigurator and click "Change Server IP Addresses" 2. Under IP addresses I see 2 addresses 3. I check the one that is no longer active 4. I select "Existing Address", however NO existing addresses are displayed.
Is there a way to remove this old inactive address somehow. I should say that we have 2 domains on that server. Both domains are associated with the active IP address.
The funny thing is that when using PP Reconfigurator we see that the inactive IP is still associated with one of the two domains (this is not true). In short PP Reconfigurator displays DOMAIN 1 and DOMAIN 2 associated with the active IP; while DOMAIN 1 also associated with the inactive IP.
Problem is that we can't upgrade our panel because the upgrade application considers our server to be associated still with the old inactive IP address and can't find the necessary ports for that old IP.
I'm using plesk Panel version11.0.9 Update #60 . I get this error when remove domain on Subscriptions .

i have to delete all PTR records in over 80 domains in a Plesk 12 panel, when i tried to run the dns command to remove the PTR record from a domain, i got the error :
Code: Unable del record in DNS server: unable find DNS record ...
There is a KB article about this specific problem : [URL] .... , but it refers to older Plesk versions (8.x-10.x). I gave it a shot by copying the fix file from all 3 different versions to /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-common/ and i got the following PHP errors:
Code:
PHP Warning: include_once(class.PHostingManager.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory; File: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-common/cuDns.php, Line: 4 PHP Warning: include_once(): Failed opening 'class.PHostingManager.php' for inclusion (include_path='/usr/local/psa/admin/plib:/usr/local/psa/admin/externals'); File: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/api-common/cuDns.php, Line: 4

Is there any workaround this PTR issue? Also, is Parallels going to update the article and provide solution for Plesk 12?

Is there a command line way of removing Plesk backups?
I'm looking for the command line equivalent of these steps: Log into Plesk as the server admin > "Tools & Settings" > "Tools & Resources" > "Backup Manager" > check a backup and click "Remove".
We have a script that copies the contents of "/var/lib/psa/dumps/" to Amazon S3 for long-term storage of backups. It runs nightly after a scheduled Plesk backup. Once that script completes successfully, we'd like to delete the Plesk backup to free up disk space. We have Plesk's "Maximum number of backups in the repository" set to 1.
But Plesk appears to keep that backup around while creating a new backup (which makes some sense). This is causing us trouble because the server does not have enough disk space for two backups. As a temporary solution, I'm manually deleting the backup each day through the Plesk admin, but would like to automate it if possible. If automation is overly complex/risky, we'll look at upping our disk space instead.
We can't install or remove any extension after upgrade to Plesk 12.0.8 from 11.5. When we go to Extensions Management > Add Extension for uploading a new extension, we are only allowed to use .deb and .zip. Before we had rpm and zip. This upgrade has been done on a Linux Server with CentOS installed (rpm based). How can we change the allowed extension for uploading an rpm file?
