Plesk 12.x / Windows :: How To View Attributes For Files / Folders
Aug 7, 2014
If users copy files/folders on Plesk Panel 11/12 with attribute "read-only", I don't see this attribute on File Manager, every time do next "attrib -r <path to file/folder".
Maybe you can improve functionality of "File Manager" on Plesk Panel 12?
I have a concern during the installation of PrestaShop. I created a subdomain through Plesk, put my files on my server via FTP. During installation of PrestaShop, I have a problem:
Recursive write permissions for the Apache user on the ~ / config /
My user is "NOWIS" and my group is "psacln" ....
I think the user "NOWIS" has no rights as "Apache" ....
I have the following problem, the files and folders generated by PHP are hidden in FTP.
I can see in the Plesk file manager that users, permissions and groups are the same for all files and folders (those that can be seen and those that cannot be seen from FTP).
All the options in the server are set by default. It is a new installation of Plesk 12.0.18 #4 in CentOS 6.5 (Final).
I created a MS SQL 2012 DB server node. It installed MS SQL and also IIS to the node. Therefore this server is now showing it will host both IIS sites and MS SQL sites. However, I do not want it to host IIS sites, just databases. But I cannot remove the host from the IIS attribute. How would I do this to ensure no IIS sites get created on this Database server? BTW, the MS SQL 2008 node only installs MS SQL 2008, not also IIS. Not sure why 2012 is different.
In the end, I should be able to determine which nodes I want to be called into service depending on the service template/resource. For example, if I want a reseller to use only certain servers, then I should be able to create resources with only those servers in them which I can then assign to resellers.
im in the midst of doing my school final year project and i done some codings of asp pages but when i tried to upload to a linux server, i can only view the webpage with codes instead of the gui interface....i tried to upload my files to free asp host but same thing i cant view my webpages...

Im with easyspace, we ordered an ssl with them a few weeks ago, after a few days they finally installed it for us, then they gave us some ftp details to reupload our site to, we did that but when we try and access our site now it forwards to iomartinternet.com
our website is thescotlandkiltcompany.co.uk
i went and looked at my domain control panel, i see that the nameservers are pointed to ns4.easyspace.com and ns5.easyspace.com
but in the dns control panel the nameservers were ns.iomart.co.uk and ns2.iomart.co.uk
anyone have any ideas whats going on?
Im summary, i am able to ftp.thescotlandkiltcompany.co.uk (this works) Im able to upload files Im able to view www.thescotlandkiltcompany.co.uk/images but im unable to see my index page or anything else (any files or directories on my root or any other folder
I already created a www folder, public_html folder etc. etc. changed permissions on files and folders, nothing worked, anyone have a clue whats going on?

Something weird happening here. I have tried every string possible...
There are a number of folders I want to remove off my server, tried the good old and simple...
rm -r /folder/
And then went and ended up with a string as long as my screen. No matter what I do, as it goes recursive in to the directory it asks me if I want to remove each file individually. No matter what string or action I take it insists on asking me as it goes to delete each file.
I'm currently using (amongst other backup systems) rsync to an offsite space (am using BQBackup at the moment)
I'm just wondering - apart from backing up all of /home/, /var/lib/mysql/ and the important config files (httpd.conf, php.conf, etc etc) is there anything else that *needs* to be backed up?
Obviously in a worst case scenario, a new machine would be deployed with a fresh OS install (and a fresh WHM/cPanel install) so I wouldn't worry about backing up OS files or cPanel core files, although I'm wondering if there's anything apart from the /home/ directory and the MySQL databases which would be lost (and so need backing up) in the event of a crash?
we've been having issues with reaching or exceeding our disk quotas. I've checked carefully, and while I've cleared our mail queue's, I don't think that's the issue.
So what I'm really looking for is a way to figure out why we have so many files (our quota is 220000, and I'm pretty confident that we aren't intentionally doing anything to create so many files). There's lots of information on finding the folders with the largest file sizes, but locating the folders with the greatest number of files isn't quite so simple--or at least, it doesn't seem very clear to me.
Does anyone know a way via the command line to figure out this information, short of going through every single folder and figuring out how many files are in the specific folder?
I have a scheduled backup set on my panel, to backup all server configuration and content, and is set to run every week. I also set to keep only 1 backup on repository, but this config doesn't seem to work! My hard drive is getting full all the time, and when I check that its because theres a lot of old backups stored that are not getting removed!
My question is: the backup script removes the old files only at the end or it does it while backing up? If the action of removal happens only at the end of the script, i think it would explain why it isn't working: my hard drive gets full before, and the script drops an error, and never get to the end of it and it doesn't remove the old backups.
My Version: Parallels Plesk Panel v11.0.9_build20120609.17 os_Windows 2008
Now what I want to do is restore 11 files from the backup. What I certainly don't want to do is restore the entire domain as I don't want to loose any changes since the last backup.
As it seems impossible to extract files from the archives.
I had a Problem with my FTP-Backup space, so PLESK couldn't do the daily backups that I configured. The problem with the ftp backup is solved. The backups are running again but there are still many large temporary files in a plesk folder.
Can I just delete them, or is this a bad idea?
The folder: C:Program Files (x86)ParallelsPleskPrivateTemp
Migrating existing IIS websites into Plesk we are creating new clean websites and then copying the existing code across into the httpdocs directory.
Should we leave all the documents and file structures created by Plesk in place when we do this OR should we delete everything in the httpdocs directory and copy our code into here?
I have noticed that i never install any program on my Server and my files of Web only 5 GB and Windows take 15 GB (My Hard Disk Usage 30 GB). Now my disk space available 1.7 GB. But when i go to check in the Recycler folder. There many files are taking up huge amounts of space, some are in excess of 10 GB . So could i deleting these files? How can I automatically delete contents of Recycler folder?
As stated on subject, how to do it? On Linux, I know I will need to compile php with a patch (for example using Choon's patch) to get it, but dont know how to do on Windows.
after upgrading from 11.5. to 12.0.18 all web Hosts which are using asp or aspx files are not working anymore.
We get following error: HTTP-Fehler 404.17 - Not Found ModulStaticFileModule BenachrichtigungExecuteRequestHandler HandlerStaticFile Fehlercode0x80070032 Angeforderte URLhttp://www.ratg.at:80/index.asp Physikalischer PfadC:Inetpubvhosts atg.athttpdocsindex.asp AnmeldemethodeAnonym Angemeldeter BenutzerAnonym
If we try to repair the Installation with the reconfigurator "Plesk virtual Hosts Security" the program is crashing.
I have a problem with users that want to download files that are in a protected folder. They don't get the login popup when the click on a link, if they use a direct url then they get the login but the download doesn't begin.

I'm using Plesk 12.0.18 version with Windows 2012. I need to backup files to remote ftp server. Remote server configuration is Windows 2012 with IIS server. It works with ftp clients very well.
But, i have a problem about Personel FTP Repository. I open Personal FTP Repository Settings and write all boxes with true information about remote ftp server but it says "Transport error: unable to list directory: Curl error: Login denied".
Ftp server works fine with ftp clients and cpanel backups.
we had a problem playing values my.ini file located in C: Program Files (x86) Parallels Plesk MySQL Data..not keeping a copy of the old configuration and that there is now not working properly. What is the configuration which is by default or tell me how I can generate it again?
If I go into the Backup Manager, then click the "Personal FTP Repository", then click "Personal FTP Repository Settings", at the bottom it asks for a password and says how important it is to use a password.
So, I specify a password, then successfully do a backup to a remote FTP site.
But when I examine the backup.zip file at the remote FTP site, it a plain ZIP file that you can open without any password!!!
How is this secure, what's the point of asking us to specify a password when it's not used to password lock the backed up ZIP file?
