Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Files And Folders Generated By PHP Hidden In FTP - Centos 6.5 / FastCGI
Jun 23, 2014
I have the following problem, the files and folders generated by PHP are hidden in FTP.
I can see in the Plesk file manager that users, permissions and groups are the same for all files and folders (those that can be seen and those that cannot be seen from FTP).
All the options in the server are set by default. It is a new installation of Plesk 12.0.18 #4 in CentOS 6.5 (Final).
I have a concern during the installation of PrestaShop. I created a subdomain through Plesk, put my files on my server via FTP. During installation of PrestaShop, I have a problem:
Recursive write permissions for the Apache user on the ~ / config /
My user is "NOWIS" and my group is "psacln" ....
I think the user "NOWIS" has no rights as "Apache" ....
Something weird happening here. I have tried every string possible...
There are a number of folders I want to remove off my server, tried the good old and simple...
rm -r /folder/
And then went and ended up with a string as long as my screen. No matter what I do, as it goes recursive in to the directory it asks me if I want to remove each file individually. No matter what string or action I take it insists on asking me as it goes to delete each file.
Tools&Settings Plesk Appearance Interface Management -Power user View (with & without) Use Custom View-Service Provider View (with & without) Open hosting operations in Server Administration Panel However when I go to
Websites&Domain TheWebsite/Show More, the DNS settings are still missing.
Is there any other setting I can try to show the dns settings?
After enabling DomainKeys via 'Server-Wide Mail Settings' and 'Mail Settings for domain.com'.The DomainKeys are not generated and placed in the TXT resource records created in the domains' DNS zones.
If users copy files/folders on Plesk Panel 11/12 with attribute "read-only", I don't see this attribute on File Manager, every time do next "attrib -r <path to file/folder".
Maybe you can improve functionality of "File Manager" on Plesk Panel 12?
I've been trying to configure Plesk as a hidden (super) master for a domain and I've run into some problems.
First off, for those who don't know, a hidden master is a nameserver that is actually the master server, yet does not list in the NS records of the domain.
The servers listed as NS in the zone have accepted the server as their master, but the rest of the world does not know it exists. Hence the term hidden master. The slaves consist of two PowerDNS servers that acknowledge the Plesk server as a supermaster, thus enabling automatic zone configuration and the like upon receiving a notify from the Plesk server.
However, the Plesk server refuses to send automatic notify messages to the slaves (listed in the NS records, also added to the ACL / transfer restrictions template). When requesting an AXFR by hand the Plesk server happily transfers the requested zone to the PowerDNS slaves, but upon changing the zone files through the Plesk panel's DNS management system, no notify goes out to the slaves, which thus don't know anything has changed. I've tried adding an also-notify clause to named.conf (which was suggested elsewhere), but it appears Plesk overwrites the entire named.conf upon zone changes, thus erasing the also-notify clause, subsequently refusing to send out a notify.
Further research into the workings of Bind (the nameserver used by Plesk in this setup) suggests that, by default, it should send notify messages to all servers listed in the NS records part of a given zone. This is clearly not the case in this particular setup, but I can't seem to find where exactly notify messages have been disabled (there is no mention of notify in named.conf).
My questions therefore are: 1) Why doesn't Plesk / Bind send automatic notify messages to its slaves, which is the default behavior of Bind? Where and how has this been disabled? 2) Should 1 turn out to be impossible to fix, how do I override named.conf on a per-domain basis?
when I FTP into my server, I can't see the files files and folders starting with dots, such as .thumbs or .htaccess. How do I configure my server (through SSH) so that these files are visible rather than hidden? I'm running Fedora on my server.
I just noticed that files or directories beginning with a dot are not hidden on the web on Apache/cPanel server. Only .htaccess files are hidden, but other files are not.
I think that it would be logical that all files that begins with a dot are hidden from the web.
on my old centos servers I can show hidden (.file) files with normal 'ls' and 'ls -l' command but on new I can`t show hidden files on that way, I must use command 'ls -a' to show that files!
Also, on new server I only see dir in who I working: [root@server dir]# but on old server this look: root@server [/usr/local/dir]#
Also, on new server I have new colors for dirs, files..
I setup PHP support to Run as FastCGi Application, and i setup the memory_limit=32M in DOMAIN/etc/php.ini, then i create a php program with ini_set('memory_limit','128M'), it does not according to my settings are limited. How can i limit it , only just use the disable_function = 'ini_set' ? or Was there other methods ? Because, When PHP runs as apache module , i can use the php_admin_value in vhost.conf to limit what i want , it does not limit everything like this (disable_function).
I've a new installation of Plesk 12 on a VPS (Ubuntu LTS12.04) and when FastCGI is selected it downloads the PHP files instead of parsing the PHP? Where to look config wise? I've checked php short tag options and they all seem fine.I've set up a test subscription to display the error here: URL....
In my Plesk 12.0, I installed support por PHP 5.3, and 5.4. But when I go to configure my site, I only can select these versions if I put PHP like FastCGI:
But in "Apache Module" I only can select PHP 5.3.3:
My WebSite doesn't work with FastCGI, only with "Module Apache".
I've been working on a project that I am trying to utilize some of the new functions from PHP 5.5 so I changed the PHP version from 5.3 to 5.5 on this domain, but I am getting a 500 error. I've found this kb: [URL] .... which is my exact issue, but the resolution doesn't work for me.
All of the permissions are set right, all of the modules are compiled and registered correctly, but I'm still getting a 500 error.
From error_log:
Code:

I have this System Debain 7.x Whyzee, 64 Bit Version, 16 GB Ram with 8 x 3.2 GHZ. I have update plesk von version 11 to version 12 he say any failure in error.logs by costumer

I changed to a new server with plesk 12 and every php that worked with Plesk 11.5 and php 5.4 doesn't work in the new server with fstcgi and php 5.4. They run fine if I config subdomain with FastCgi php5.3 but don't with php 5.4.35. I get this error message in error_log of subdmain using this versión of php (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server. Premature end of script headers: test.php
there is no error in /var/log/httpd/suexec_log phpini seems OK.My system uses Centos 6.4 and
I'm having a problem when copying folders into another folder using the same name.e.g. there's a folder called css in httpdocs/backup/css and also httpdocs/css. However, I'm trying to restore the backup and actually copy the /css dir from httpdocs/backup to httpdocs. Plesk should overwrite the existing target css dir (and its content/files) in httpdocs/css. However, Plesk creates a new css dir inside httpdocs/css so I have the "original" httpdocs/css dir content intact and also the css dir (from httpdocs/backup/css) copied into httpdocs/css so the full path is httpdocs/css/css
I'm highlighting the httpdocs (not /css dir) in the File manager - Copy Files window. I've tried that on a few installs and experiencing issue on each of them. Please see the attached screenshots.
Step 1. Select (check) the css dir and click copy (or move, result is the same)
Step 2. Mark the httpdocs dir (it doesn't matter if you click the Replace existing files checkbox)
Step 3. Final result, css dir from httpdocs/backup copied into httpdocs/css/
I've compared the dir content several times and definitely the css dir from httpdocs/backup is copied to httpdocs/css so the full path would be: http docs/css/css and the original "old" files from css will remain there.
My server is Plesk 12 with Postfix and Courier IMAP i am also using Thunderbird as mail client...
My question is when i create a folder from my mail client or webmail they just appear as sub folders of my inbox which is not what i want, i want root level folders not to be under inbox... When i searched for this i found [URL] ....
Is this still the case? Is there anything i can do to have root level folders?

How can I fix this problem? The Script is 100% i/O because it has worked onder PHP 5.2 and its comp. whit 5.4.
I have an issue with running of the php-scripts. It runs via Cron (as it consumes a lot of memory), after aprox. 10 minutes after the start-time of the script the following error appears in the error-log file (path - /var/www/vhosts/system/subdomain.domain.tld/logs/error_log)
[Tue Feb 17 19:46:57.003326 2015] [fcgid:warn] [pid 28629] (104)Connection reset by peer: [client XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:48450] mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server [Tue Feb 17 19:46:57.003368 2015] [core:error] [pid 28629] [client XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:48450] End of script output before headers: Name_of_the_script.php
For a very strange reason another PHP-script, that has the same code, but just runs less arrays, and therefore consumes less memory and can be run via browser - works perfectly from both browser and the cron. The php.ini for this domain set up correctly (see the attachment)...

I'm trying to add multiple PHP version (current version installed: 5.5.13), using the official documentation. I always get 500 Internal Server Error after switching to the new version, with the following error_log content:
Code: [Sat Jun 07 00:49:35 2014] [warn] [client XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server [Sat Jun 07 00:49:35 2014] [error] [client XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] Premature end of script headers: index.php Here you can view phpinfo() obtained running php54-cgi index.php from the command line. Same script doesn't work as FastCGI.
I'm trying to add PHP 5.4.29. Here is how I compiled it:
Switching back to PHP 5.5.13 and the script works fine (a simple phpinfo() output). How can I try to understand/debug what's wrong with the installation?
