View 3 Repliestoday i changed the password for the admin panel for a customer (username eg. mylogin). 10 minutes later he called me and said that he cannot get into his emailaccount anymore. Checked the password and saw that the emailpassword for his emailaddress (eg. mylogin@mydomain.com) is now the same from the admin panel login. So i changed the emailpassword and checked the admin panel login - it now has the emailpassword. What a mess.. I'm running Plesk Panel 11.5.30 MU47.

Resolve -> only reconfigure domain. How can I automatic fix this problem?
When you click on "Forgot your password?" in Plesk for Linux 11, you'll get an email like this: Dear <firstname>Your password could not be sent because it is stored in the encrypted form.To set up a new password, please follow the link: <link to reset password>
How can I change that? It's a bit sparse and it doesn't even include a email signature with the company name.
each time i migrate a Domain from a plesk 9.5.5 Windows Hosting Server towards the new plesk 11.5 Server the customers iusr Password does not match the Systems iusr Password.so after each Migration the Website is requesting a username and Password.
1. how to solve that for the whole Installation?
2. at plesk 7.5 and later there was a Workaround which is not anymore supported: websrvmng.exe –update-anon-password –domain-name=yourdomain.com

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I tried access parallels plesk panel 11.5 ... It's show windows password, if i enter Administrator credentials i see login of parallels, if i cancell i receive this error: "401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials."
I also tried use reconfigurator but i receive this error on attach 2...
If I go into the Backup Manager, then click the "Personal FTP Repository", then click "Personal FTP Repository Settings", at the bottom it asks for a password and says how important it is to use a password.
So, I specify a password, then successfully do a backup to a remote FTP site.
But when I examine the backup.zip file at the remote FTP site, it a plain ZIP file that you can open without any password!!!
How is this secure, what's the point of asking us to specify a password when it's not used to password lock the backed up ZIP file?
The VPS have a main domain with IP for example : 127.0.0.1 and all other domain have the same ip.
Then I create a new domain, but with dedicated IP, for example : 127.0.02
When main domain or others domain send and email, he header is something like this :

When the domain with dedicated IP send and email, the header is the same, but I need the header change the ip, for example this :

Why all domain whit shared or dedicated ip get (main-domain.com 127.0.0.1)
So since some time the email forwarding is not working anymore. I am currently working on the version 11.5.30.
The main problem I have, is that the hosting provider who is responsible for the server hasn't fixed this since may!
My intermediate solution would be to add a webmail account so the person the mail is being forwarded to can use it.
i recently purchased a VPS Server from OVH, So far all is good with it, I have 4 domains parked off in a local South African Server that using DNS Records are pointing to the VPS Servers. The website etc is all displayed 100% so no issues there.My problem comes with email, Generally I use GMAIL to access all my emails using their POP3 and SMTP Feature by just putting in the details like how outlook is. Unfortunately it keeps on saying connection timed out and at times says another error to do with denying access.
So then I try accessing my email using the webmail interface, Im using mailenable and mailenable webmail, I cannot access the webmail through the panel neither can I access it using the link webmail.domain.com or webmail.domain.com/mewebmail/ as it gives the following error:
Service Unavailable: HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.
My setup for my emails is as follows: I have 4 domains (for example sake lets call it domain1, domain2, domain3, domain 4) now domain2,3 and 4 3 individual email addresses with no mailboxes as I set it up on plesk so that all email from there gets forwarded to main Domain calling it domain1. like info@domain1.com.In this way I do not have to open so many and all email found on one place. However I would like to make sure I can still send using the domain2 email address which logic tells me I should just need username password and the smtp settings.
But unfortunately even that when I want to set up on gmail or even outlook is giving me the same issues as mentioned above.!I googled and I looked through the forums about IIS application pool and restarting mailenable servers I did all of that but still the same error and issues, the domains have been propagated properly I waited 72hours just incase!
I have Plesk and SmarterMail running on a server.SmarterMail is setup as 'require SMTP authentication before relaying' email (I think this is standard practice).I cannot get Plesk to send any emails, such as forgotten password reminders and notifications.Plesk tries to send but gets a "550 Authentication is required for relay" error... which is expected, because I can't find anywhere in Plesk to enter the authentication details for the email account being used to send (relay) the emails.
I don't want to setup a 'whitelist' or 'bypass relay authentication' for 127.0.0.1 as I have had a spam issue with this previously.where to enter the username / password details so Plesk Panel can authenticate and send it's emails?

I've got a problem with trying to add email accounts in Plesk.
My software is:
Windows 2008 R2 64Bit
Plesk 11.5.3
Mail Enable Standard / Free 7.53
I've added a subscription and the domain name.
When I click the Mail tab under the domain, I go to click "Create Email Address".
Plesk just sits there and doesn't load the next page.
I've tried looking for error logs, in Windows event viewer under Plesk it's blank.
The SMTP connector has only 1 outbound email in the queue.
I've tired running the Plesk fix permissions and verify database on Mail without resolving this issue.
I want to set plesk to allow the overuse for disk space and bandwidth for my customers, but not for e-mail accounts.
If I do not allow overuse, what exactly happens when a customer exceeds the use of resources? The plesk panel immediately stops all the customer's services? Or what?
Moreover: is there a diagnostic utility to understand if the plesk panel is working correctly and is correctly installed?
We are moving our hosting to a new supplier . We offer hosting services to our clients and our present system produces automatic emails with all the clients log in details passwords etc. when you join or buy a new URL.
The new hosting supplier tells me that using Parallels panel this isn't possible .
have to produce manual emails is not really an option as I see massive problems

I want to use Gmail to host my email. I have already confirmed my domain and now I can successfully send emails via my domain.
However in order to receive emails I need to add/update the MX records on my server. I did that (I think) but now, 24h later, the records don't seem to be updated yet.
For instance intodns.com still shows that there is only one MX record: [URL] ....
This is my setup where you can clearly see the MX records required by Google:
I changed the TTL to some minutes but still the changes don't seem to be propagated.
The screenshots are taken from "Website & Domains" -> my domain -> DNS - that should be the right thing to change, correct?

And my subscriptions had 2 domains : matbaocare.com (main domain) & matbaocare.net (second domain).
When I create E-mail Address , by default I can choose several domain on my account with @matbaocare.com or @matbaocare.net.
But I don't want to create E-mail with second domain, just main domain can use email !

We are trying to use a configure settings for an external SMTP server within Plesk (Windows 2008 R2 Plesk 12) but are receiving the following error message:
Error: Unable to encode IDN email address 'username': email address is invalid
We are trying to use a username for SMTP authentication as we do not have the option of using an email address with our current SMTP relay provider.
Is there any way around this so that we can use a username rather than an email address?
My windows server 2003 server password has been changed. My host tells me they must reload the entire OS in order to fix it..
Is there no way they can go in and rescue my server? Would save me alot of work.
