Enabling apache modules needed;
I need to enable following options :
mod_deflate
mod_env
mod_expires
mod_headers
mod_mime
mod_rewrite
mod_setenvif
Is this possible within Plesk 12?
I tried to enable mod_deflate and mod expires from Centos terminal without success. I need this options enabled for Opencart store.
I wanted to activate nginx on my server als describes on [URL] ...
Installing was no problem, but when i try to enable nginx, I always get errors:

how to enable bcmath in php.
We have a virtual server running Linux CentOS 6 with plesk 11.5 & PHP 5.4.28
So far I have found info here: [URL]
But can't get the commands to work. I'm not great with putty and the commands but learning a little.
I was also hoping that maybe updating PHP to a newer version and using the --enable-bcmath would work but where to start.
We have several websites installed on the server, some with opencart etc installed so I don't want to break the server!

After my HDD crashed, I replaced it and installed Plesk 12.0.18 but not some options are missing from the panel.I'm missing this functionality: Send from domain IP addresses and use domain names in SMTP greeting
Also now after the restoration of the backups in /var/www/vhosts/<DOMAIIN_NAME>/logs/There are no logs, but they are present in /var/www/ vhosts/ system/<DOMAIIN_NAME>/logs/Before they were symlinked to the first directory.all my domains with a dedicated IP are being sent from my main IP, and they are being marked as spam because of SPF.
Here is my setup
Centos6.6 x86_64 Minimal install + Plesk12 installation completed without problem.
However when I logged into Plesk Panel i get this message.

Everything seems to work but i would like to have it enabled for performance reasons, when i check it
# /etc/init.d/nginx status
nginx is stopped
Then I try to start it manually
/etc/init.d/nginx start
Not starting nginx as it is disabled in config
then i try to force it
/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/nginxmng --enable

In Plesk for Linux with the Postfix mail server, you can change the IP address used for sending mail. Also, if your server sends mail from domain IP addresses, you can specify which name will be used as a host name in SMTP greetings.
Choose from the three options:
◦Send from domain IP addresses. By default, mail from each domain is sent using the domain's IP address. The host name used in SMTP greeting is defined by the configuration of the mail server.
◦Send from domain IP addresses and use domain names in SMTP greeting. If selected, Plesk changes the mail server configuration so that the SMTP greeting will contain the name of the domain from which an email message is sent.
This option prevent the sender's IP address from being put into public black lists, such as the Spamhaus or OpenBL lists. This might happen if the mail server host name is used in SMTP greeting for the messages sent from domain IP addresses. Some recipient servers consider such messages as spam.
We recommend that you use this option if you host less than 100 domains. In case of a large number of domains, using this option significantly increases the load on the server.
◦Send from the specified IP address. You might want to use certain IPv4 and IPv6 addresses for all outgoing mail.

How much local disk space is necessary for a full backup of 240 GB data to a remote ftp?
I have 314 GB free on my local disk, but this is still not enough.
The backup process is 100% after round about 4 hours, according to Backup Manager.
But there are still tar processes until the disk is full.

We are trying to enable the dedicated IIS pool for some customers through the RPC API (Plesk 12, Win2k12R2) but couldn't find a way to. I understand we can do it through CLI with "client_pref.exe --set-iis-app-pool-settings <login_name> -iis-app-pool-turned-on true", and also through web interface, but is it possible via API? it would be really easier and cleaner.

I backup my accounts via cpanel backup. I run incremental and mount to a NAS. I have about 2GB in database and 3GB in files (500,000+ PNGs). Backup is hard on the server and it takes 17 hours to complete according to my logs.

I host several web clients that were recently impacted by the crap at ThePlanet. As I think about how to be more redundant (and repetitive) I'm not sure of my options.
What's the best practice to ensure that if you have a server at a data center that goes out, that you can (somewhat) easily switch over to a different server? I suppose one solution is to have 2 servers at 2 physical locations, and then you could just change the DNS record in the event of failure, but is there another solution I'm not aware of? Is there a good resource I can goto to read up on this info?
Still considering co-location and have been for many months! One thing I'm now thinking of is firewalls. What firewalls are available to me, what functionality do they have? What kind of additional protection can they give against DDoS attacks?
I really have no idea where to go with hardware firewalls. The bandwidth going through the firewall on average would be no more than 10mbit/s. Perhaps 20 with growth!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a dedicated server. It is a Fedora Core 6. It came with "Plesk 30 domain license". However, this license of Plesk doesn't have SpamAssassin enabled. In order to get the license with SpamAssassin, it costs an extra $30 a month.
I believe SpamAssassin by default is in fact installed on the sever, but some of my users are reporting that they are getting Spam. How can I check is SpamAssassin is running? How do I configure SpamAssassin to filter spam on all the e-mail addresses that are created in Plesk?
