Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Deleted FTP Accounts Still Working?
Mar 10, 2015
For some reason non-exisiting/delete FTP accounts still have access to the server. When I tried to delete the account, it gave an error stating that a process is using it, however, it was not being used at the time. From there, the ftp account was removed from the list, but for some reason it can still log in as if it exists.
I just want to remove plesk and installed again. i saw (URL...) this page. use this code but plesk not removed. my sites are gone.how can i get back my site? what i should install. When i try install plesk 12 says you already install version 11.0.9
I have done many tests and always fails.= Plesk 9.5 to Plesk 12 =
I perform a migration with several domains from Plesk 9.5 and Plesk 12, it runs well. Then I remove all the migrated domains in Plesk 12 server. Then I perform a new migration with the same domains from the same server with Plesk 9.5 to the same server with Plesk 12 and it fails. The reason is that Plesk 12 doesn't remove the databases attached to the subscriptions. The new migration tries to deploy the databases and it can't because the same databases with the same users are deployed already.
I tried to remove the databases with `plesk bin database` and it was not enough. Maybe the same error will show when you migrate from Plesk 11.5/12 to Plesk 12.
The "/etc/php.ini" file seems reasonable and the session file path seems correct: session.save_path = "/var/lib/php/session"
But the session files never get deleted automatically. The session folder fills up quickly and I have been deleting session files manually while trying to resolve the problem. How can I verify that the default Plesk cron jobs are set up and running properly?
When you delete a site backup from its "Backup Manager" Panel, it is removed and no longer displayed in the Panel. However, I cannot tell if this action actually does anything with the real site backup files in "/var/lib/psa/dumps". Does this action merely remove it from PSA's database but not touch any actual files? If this is true, then how are site backup files supposed to be managed if this action doesn't actually delete them?
We had many backups stored on our Plesk 12 server about 51 GB in total.
After reducing the backups back to 10 GB by removing old backups through the Backup Manager.
The issue is that Health Monitor still reported that there was low diskspace displayed by color yellow. And it look Health Monitor over 16 minutes to change the alarm level from Yellow to Green
However the statistics at the specific subscription still present the Backup usage of 51 GB's whilest they are no longer there.
What can i do about this in order to speed up the synchronization?
I have setup my dedi server with Plesk, and I have added my own domain to the plesk system, now when I try to suspend the account, it still displays the uploaded html documents in the browser, everything else like the FTP and panel logins get suspended, but plesk doesn't display the default page, it just continues to serve the pages?
I'm getting following errors while migrating my accounts from latest version of cPanel:
Code: Warning:
Couldn't get 'cgi_bin_mode' attribute for domain where cgi-bin dir is '' and docroot dir is '/home/inofash/public_html'. Domain will be migrated in that way as if its cgi-bin directory was located under docroot.
Because of that none of my accounts can't be migrated.
After installing a separate SSL to domain.com and www.domain.com, for some reason host.domain.com, which is the subdomain for plesk login, isn't being secured by FTP when choosing "Secure Plesk" after choosing the correct SSL. No error occurs, nor does the dashboard respond to it. It stays the same and unsecured. I tried rebooting server, restart services, etc.
I am unable to connect over TLS/SSL using my FTP client. I have ports 989 & 990 enabled in my server's firewall. My FTP client is attempting connection on port 990, but times out waiting for the server to respond. I also tried adding "TLSProtocol TLSv1" or "TLSProtocol SSLv3" to /etc/proftpd.conf, but get the same result, except that a non-TLS/SSL connection attempt then returns "server closed the connection".
Recently I configured parallels 12.x on Linode Cloud with cent OS. Using DNS Settings I added 'A' record (abc.example.com) as abc and point to IP. But the record is not propagated after 24-48hrs.
I migrated many domains to a Plesk 12 with lot of email accounts. I need to find a way to mass enable antispam and DR.Web anti virus.
How can I enable to all accounts the antispam with certain parameters Ex. 5 Points and Mark **SPAM** _SCORE_ in the subject and also enable Dr.Web for incoming email.
Many of our clients create e-mail accounts that forward incoming e-mail to mailboxes hosted on other e-mail services. e.g., Gmail.
Lately, though, a handful of these accounts have been receiving a lot of spam (i.e., UCE) and that's been causing a lot of damage to our reputation with these other e-mail services because the message that's being forwarded appears to have originated from our servers.

Is there some way to...
Find accounts that are configured to forward to gmail?
Disable forwarding in accounts that are configured to forward to gmail?
I have noticed that for each new subscription I create Plesk automatically creates an FTP account. Further; I cannot delete this. (It seems the Remove button would allow me to delete additional FTP accounts but not the one added when the subscription was created).
I would like:
1) To delete these system created FTP accounts
2) To prevent it doing this in future. I would like to create subscriptions without FTP accounts.
I'd prefer to do it this way and leave the FTP server running. However; I am wondering about disabling FTP access altogether if I have to. I do use SFTP. I'm afraid my Linux knowledge is so limited I don't know if SFTP uses the FTP server; so if I turned off the ftp server whether that would prevent sftp access?
The motivation for doing this is that while I have 'customers' and subscribers in fact I am the only user and will transfer files to the server by SFTP and then move them around the server logged on via SSH. Since I'm not using FTP it seems sensible not to have all these accounts floating about.
Configuration: Config server / Preferred domain for web sites / domain.tld Config hosting to domain / Preferred domain / domain.tld
Problem: I've created a primary domain.tld and work without problems I type www.domain.tld and work fine redirect to domain.tld format but I've created different alias and only work www.domain.tld format don't work domain.tld format.
In google webmastertools i see this error in domain.ltd panel
I have two servers with the exact same configuration, besides from the version of CentOS that they were running when I deployed Plesk using the autoinstall script. My first server was running CentOS 6.5 during Plesk installation. My second server was running CentOS 6.6. No 3rd part repos were installed before Plesk.
On the first server everything is fine, but on the second server I have issues with FTP. I have tried applying this fix: [URL] ....
Before applying the fix I got 530 Login incorrect when trying to connect to FTP. After applying the fix and restarting the entire server I got 550 /: permission denied
I have mine Custom billing Panel Today my Developer start code API for it by Docs that Parallels given but we got stuck on Subscription...
if we set login name and password API shows this error While creating subscription
Error 2204 Unable to update hosting preferences. Unable to check system user existence: login name is empty It happens only while creating the subscription...
Creating of user is working fine only subscription don't want work and we don't know why we tried many things and none of it works.
I have set up a CentoS 6 & Plesk 12.0.18 server as master and a reseller. I enabled the shared IP under IP address in the tools section.
I then added a customer and domain. then I added reseller with domain and 2 customers with domain under that. I changed the nameservers at registrar to the IP of the new server. When I use the control panel and under each domain I use the PREVIEW and each domain shows the index.html file I uploaded. When I choose OPEN it opens a new window to the domains address and I get webpage not found. And yes it has been almost 36 hours since the registrar change in case you are wondering.
Is there a setting I am missing or is the server set up wrong? Why wont it show the webpages as it does in the previews?
I have a VPS on Webfusion which auto upgraded last night to Plesk 11.5.30 #45. However, I used to have the domain registrar, 123-reg manage my DNS & now since the upgrade I've lost access to all emails & ftp access but the domains still work ok.
whether I should delete all DNS records at 123-reg & point to my VPS now? The DNS parameters in Plesk appear to be different to 123-reg. I
I've got a situation in which I need to have a set of mail accounts that share a domain name with a domain that's already in use as a domain alias and because the domain is already in use, I'm unable to create a new account using that domain. I tried explicitly adding "www" to the domain alias so I could keep the www.domain.com address as an alias and reserve the "domain.com" name for use as a separate account, but Plesk won't allow for that.
How to address this? The idea I'm currently considering is to delete the domain alias and then create the new account and manually set the DOCUMENT ROOT of the new account to refer to the other domain's document root. I'm sure this could create some difficulty in Plesk so I'm looking for input before trying it. I'm actually not even sure exactly where I would be able to redefine the document root with Plesk allowing the change and not overwriting it later.
If all else fails, I can setup a new account on a different and unrelated Plesk server, but I'd prefer not to do that.
As I read, when Plesk and WHMCS are in the same server, you may have 502 bad gateway errors when creating an account through WHMCS..Page not Found/Timeout/502 Bad Gateway error creating accounts with Plesk 10+..By default Plesk 10 and above performs a forced restart of apache when an account is created or suspended which causes WHMCS to lose connection to the server, and if your WHMCS is on the same server, you will also lose connection to WHMCS at the same time.
In order to resolve this please refer to the following knowledgebase article for instructions on configuring Plesk to perform a graceful restart instead: URL..
But when I activate nginx in Plesk the 502 bad Gateway problem comes back.Is there an option to activate Nginx graceful restart in Plesk?
Since the migration from Plesk 11.5 to Plesk 12.0 the "chrooted" SFTP accounts do not work anymore. Along with the Plesk migration we have changed the operating system too. We've migrated from CentOS 6 (x86_64) to CentOS 7 (x86_64).
When trying to connect using SFTP on the command line I get the following error message: debug1: Exit status 127...When using an SFTP client such as WinSCP I get logged out immediately without any message.
The OpenSSH configuration is saying: <...> Subsystem sftp /usr/libexec/openssh/sftp-server <...>
The mentioned binary from above does exist: ls -l /usr/libexec/openssh/sftp-server -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 83984 2015-05-12 21:41:56 /usr/libexec/openssh/sftp-server
I have attached the debug output of the SFTP command (plesk_sftp_issue.txt).When I change the option "Access to the server over SSH" to "/bin/bash" the SFTP access works again. But when "chrooted" it stops working.
