Would like to know how to implement css and images to work with custom error documents. For some reason the folders are ignored even with the correct path being entered within the html. Only plain text appears.
View 2 RepliesBeing relatively new to the Linux world, I don't exactly know why my reverse proxy settings are not working. Nothing i have tried has worked.
The code below is from my old windows server what does not seem to be working in my new 1&1 vps server. I have the below code at the moment at the bottom of my httpd_ip_defult.conf file under /var/www/vhosts/system/mydomain.com/conf/

I also have mod_proxy.so , mod_proxy_http.so and mod_proxy_html.so all enabled in my main httpd.conf file at /etc/httpd/conf/
Basically, I need to fix this urgently as a core feature of my site relies on this setup.
Installed plesk to my Centos VPS, I created Domain, and unselected Custom Error Documents, as i wanted to use htaccess for that since pleask custom error doese not support php files.
in my htaccess inserted.
ErrorDocument 400 /error/bad-request.html
ErrorDocument 401 /error/unauthorised.html
ErrorDocument 403 /error/forbidden.html
ErrorDocument 404 /error/file-not-found.html
ErrorDocument 500 /error/internal-server-error.html
But when test the errors by visiting un-found page in my site, i do not get the error 404 page, and banned my self from my site to try if page 403 shows up , and it did not ..
All the errors Shown instaed of the pointed page the Borwser shows the custom Error from the borwser, For Example if you use Google browser.

All settings of the custom error page were made and worked correctly, however the next day the setting was lost after reset again and returned to work.

Upgraded Plesk from 11.5 to 12.0.18 from panel.
I have installed PHP 5.3.29 (make from sources)
All smooth, added handler:

App work ok after change to new php with hosting settings(change php handler Fast Cgi)
But php info shows that: Loaded Configuration File is /etc/php5/cgi/php.ini
This is not good as I checked should be for certain vhost cutsom php ini which is generated by PHP settings.
For example I changed in Plesk memory_limit to 333MB applied changes panel show successully, but still there is 128MB default value in phpinfo().
Am I missing sth ? Is there additional task needed expect adding handler? Or is there a known bug?
ps. after change handler back to 5.3.10, (default installation) there also custom PHP settings file seems not to be processed.
I did not tested earlier maybe upgrade Plesk to v12 broked sth? What should I check?
I have tried to delete (and let psa recreate) php.ini from vhost/system/mydomain.com/ but also did not worked...
Is there a chance to change the default nameserver name for customers created by a reseller.
Example:

Now the reseller wants:

The NS-Entries of the reseller may be the same physical nameserver, but it should be anonymized. How can I achieve that?
I purchased an ssl certificate and installed it in plesk via server->ssl certificates. I then followed the following guide to set up imap and pop to use my cert (instead of using the default i used my cert into) URL... Now I'm getting an issue with sending emails, something about SSLHandshakeException, and some clients can't even log in. MTs support mentioned this might have something to do with POODLE.

When adding a subscription with a certain plan, I get this error"Error: The plan was not applied: Custom changes in PHP settings" almost instantly after I initiated the creation of the new subscription. Another service plan doesn't have the issue, and though I tried finding the reason why one works while the other doesn't I simply wasn't able to. The service plan in question is used for over 40 others without a problem just when I select it for a new subscription, I get the mentioned error message.I am using Plesk 12 on Linux, all latest updates installed.

I have the web pro edition panel 12 on centos 6.5 64bit, and i have made some custom firewall rules in order to be able to run a teamspeak server. The problem is that the firewall randomly blocks the teamspeak port and keeps it blocked unless i restart the firewall.

However, we tried to create a custom jail for the CMS that is being used by most of our clients.
I followed the instructions (Tools & Settings > IP Address Banning (Fail2Ban) > Jails > Manage Filters > Add Filter) and created the filter I wanted, but then it does not appear in the list, even though it displays a message reading that the filter was created successfully. Then, if I try to create a new Jail, the filter is not available from the list.
Looking at the directory /etc/fail2ban/filter.d/ I can find a file that has the same name as the filter I created, with a .local extension (the file name does not contain whitespaces or other special characters)...
Have some very important questions regarding changing plesk ports and creating full backups.
1. When changing plesks port number, what exactly will it effect? Will it effect auto updates, etc.?
2. When creating a backup, I'd like to backup the entire server to rollback at anytime when changes are made to core files, is this possible?
3. With backups, somehow I'd like to schedule backups to possibly make nightly copies to an external hard drive on my computer for a fail safe method just in case the server happens to crash and I'd need to restore to another server/service. How would this be possible?

For example if the default is 35, set it to 75. This is common -- often we have customers who send larger quantities of messages than the average user.
Login as a reseller with access to manage the email account and attempt to change any *other* value. For example, you could completely ignore the outgoing mail messages value and change just the Auto-Reply value

I am completely new to VPS, and I was wondering, where would I put my files in the VPS? Normally I am used to just storing them in public_html, or whatever I am given, but I can't find that on my server. Apache has already been installed.
View 11 Replies View RelatedAfter installing a separate SSL to domain.com and www.domain.com, for some reason host.domain.com, which is the subdomain for plesk login, isn't being secured by FTP when choosing "Secure Plesk" after choosing the correct SSL. No error occurs, nor does the dashboard respond to it. It stays the same and unsecured. I tried rebooting server, restart services, etc.

I am unable to connect over TLS/SSL using my FTP client. I have ports 989 & 990 enabled in my server's firewall. My FTP client is attempting connection on port 990, but times out waiting for the server to respond. I also tried adding "TLSProtocol TLSv1" or "TLSProtocol SSLv3" to /etc/proftpd.conf, but get the same result, except that a non-TLS/SSL connection attempt then returns "server closed the connection".
Recently I configured parallels 12.x on Linode Cloud with cent OS. Using DNS Settings I added 'A' record (abc.example.com) as abc and point to IP. But the record is not propagated after 24-48hrs.

How can solve to Alias work with domain.tld format?
I have a weird problem happening to only few of my domains. From web browser, any of URL below is working fine:
webmail.domain.com
ftp.domain.com (it will open up a new window asking for login info)
domain.com:8443 (it will redirect to control panel login page)
However, URL below not working:
www.domain.com
domain.com
I have checked the DNS entries, all looks alright. I even initiate DNS test from dnsgoodies.com and it return fine.
I have two servers with the exact same configuration, besides from the version of CentOS that they were running when I deployed Plesk using the autoinstall script. My first server was running CentOS 6.5 during Plesk installation. My second server was running CentOS 6.6. No 3rd part repos were installed before Plesk.
On the first server everything is fine, but on the second server I have issues with FTP. I have tried applying this fix: [URL] ....
Before applying the fix I got 530 Login incorrect when trying to connect to FTP. After applying the fix and restarting the entire server I got 550 /: permission denied
I running magento on plesk 12 and trying to configure nginx, but only home page is working and all other pages are not working with error 404.

Creating of user is working fine only subscription don't want work and we don't know why we tried many things and none of it works.
I have set up a CentoS 6 & Plesk 12.0.18 server as master and a reseller. I enabled the shared IP under IP address in the tools section.
I then added a customer and domain. then I added reseller with domain and 2 customers with domain under that. I changed the nameservers at registrar to the IP of the new server. When I use the control panel and under each domain I use the PREVIEW and each domain shows the index.html file I uploaded. When I choose OPEN it opens a new window to the domains address and I get webpage not found. And yes it has been almost 36 hours since the registrar change in case you are wondering.
Is there a setting I am missing or is the server set up wrong? Why wont it show the webpages as it does in the previews?
We just upgraded from Plesk 10.4.4 to 11.5.30 and can't seem to get FTPS to work.
I presume it should be running on port 990, but the server is not listening on that port (only 21 for FTP).

I have a VPS on Webfusion which auto upgraded last night to Plesk 11.5.30 #45. However, I used to have the domain registrar, 123-reg manage my DNS & now since the upgrade I've lost access to all emails & ftp access but the domains still work ok.

I have configured a custom 500.100 Error for one of my web sites in IIS 6.0. However, the custom error page appears nested within the HTML of the page throwing the error, at the point the error occurs.
This is problematic as live errors are being overlooked when they appear late in the script as the majority of the page outputs normally.
On my development server IIS 5.1 this does not happen. The Custom Error Page is shown as its own page. The errors cannot go unnoticed.
How can I change IIS 6.0's Customer Error to behave like my development server, and do it just for the one web site concerned?
I am trying to control access to an asp page by using windows resource groups. The virtual directory in IIS has both 'Integrated Windows Authentication' and 'Basic Authentication' checked.
When an unauthorized user tries to access this page, it prompts thrice for the user ID and password before going to the 'user not authorized' page. I want it to display the error the very first time an unauthorized user tries to access this page and not ask him thrice before throwing the error page.
The operating system being used is Windows 2003 server.
