Plesk 11.x / Windows :: Bandwidth Add-on Does Not Apply
Jan 30, 2014
Running Plesk 11.0.9 Windows 2008 R2 ...We host several sites. One customer in particular has a locked default hosting package (for custom scripting needs under their website setttings) and we have applied an add-on of 10GB of bandwidth. The system does not show that it has increased their allowance still showing 19.9 of 10 Available (when it should be 19.9 of 20 available)
Also, we have not been getting overage notices for this customer....when normally we do. Maybe it's related to some automated task that's not running?
I am currently in the process of migrating a few hundred domains from one server to another using Plesk's Migration & Transfer Manager. The servers have the following name servers allocated:
Server 1: ns9.example.com & ns2.example.com Server 2: ns1.example.com & ns2.example.com
In the DNS Zone Template in Tools & Settings on Server 2, can I just click Apply DNS Template Changes and change all migrated domains NS records to ns1/ns2? Will this affect custom DNS entries as a lot of the domains have DNS changes that need to remain. I'm just hoping that this might be a quicker way than going into each domains DNS zone and manually changing ns9 to ns1.
I just really don't want all the domains DNS zones to reset to the standard template on Server 2 ...
What happens to subscriptions which automatically suspended because of overused monthly bandwidth , at new month ? do they automatically activate or we should activate them manually ?
And does the monthly bandwidth counter reset at first they of new month or it reset 30/31 day after subscription creation date?
I have a strange issue on a Plesk 12 VPS. Sometimes the sites result in a "502 Bad Gateway (nginx)". This happens 1 or 2 times a day on different times.
In the httpd log I see a record "can't apply process slot" and in nginx log I see "connect() failed (111: Connection refused) while connecting to upstream" but restarting apache and/or nginx will not always result in a working site.
When I restart iptables everything is working fine again.
Is it possible to get the .htaccess file to apply to only one folder? As in if we stick it in the public_html/ folder, how can we prevent those rules from being applied to all the folders in public_html/ folder?
I have some instructions written in the .htaccess of root directory for my website. So how to force those rules to apply to all sub directories even if those sub directories have .htaccess that overwrite the rules of the mother .htaccess on the root directory ? For example the root .htaccess deny access to all *.log files, so how to force that rule even if in some subdirectories there is some .htaccess files that allow access of *.log files.
I am not too used to working with having to monitoring bandwidth through windows itself, but the provider doesn't provide graphs from the switch.
I tried installing MRTG on windows but got tired after trying for two hours. I really just need a program that can monitor the bandwidth and calculate the 95% usage but I cannot seem to find that anywhere!
if anyone knows of a good, free tool to monitor how much bandwidth a Windows machine uses monthly. I saw FreeMeter, but I don't know how well that will work to use for a whole month at once.
I've been looking for a VPS with windows, ability for torrents and unmetered bandwidth. I've tried leaseweb and I did not like their service one bit for support. i did not use their 10mb unmetered though. I then tried FDC and they were ok, but now I'm looking for something else that is more like FDC then anything. With FDC I was running windows 2003, unmetered bandwidth and was doing some torrents a bit. Not music or movies though, i hate 99.9% of the music out and don't bother with movies or software or any of that junk. my speed was fine at up to 100mb literally. downloading from the net to my FDC server would go as much as 80mb or so, peaking a bit faster for like half a second. Anyhow, the speed their was fine.
So I'm just looking for something else is all. The server I was on was a VDS and cost was for me $79. I had 512mb ram and 100gb drive space.
I have faced the following ftp backup error in windows plesk 11.5.30
Transport error: unable to send directory to repository: Transport error: unable to put local file C:Program Files (x86)ParallelsPleskPrivateTemp/repo_transport_tmp_01cf171bcedd7710ackup_1401220130.zip to backup_1401220130.zip: Curl error: Failure when receiving data from the peer
Prior to using plesk, I had a few sites that had SSL certificates installed, the old fashioned way (manually through IIS). I have now setup those domains in plesk, and I need to somehow make PLESK aware of these SSL certificates.Right now, I setup the domain in plesk, give it a dedicated IP, and allow SSL connections. It chooses the default certificate and my already installed in IIS SSL certificate isnt listed.
Is there any way I can get it listed? I went to the add an SSL area, and it seems that this area is only good for generating new SSL certificates, but mine is good for another 1+ years. The bummer is that for some reason, anytime I make any type of change to the site in plesk, that it seems to overwrite the SSL bindings and changes my manual changes to the correct certificate (through iis) back to the default certificate.
Bandwidth limitation button not showing in domain control panel
I am running Plesk 12.018 on CentOS 6.5. with ~75 domains hosted. All of them are allowed unlimited traffic and have Apache + Nginx installed and configured via Plesk.
Today I need for the first time to set a bandwidth-limitation for a domain, but I can't find a button for controlling it in the domain control panel.
I've checked I've mod_bw installed and have set the permissions for controlling server performance in the custom plan for the specific domain.
I am currently using Plesk 8.1 as my control panel and it's running on Windows 2003 Standard. Was wondering how I could actually configure Plesk/MailEnable to actually work with Port 587 as an alternative port to sending out emails.
Currently Port 587 is totally Not Working which is getting a few of my clients quite upset. This is due to the fact that their stupid ISP actually blocked off ALL access to Port 25.
i have windows server 2003 and i also have plesk 7.5.... every time i try to install plesk it says thats i need frontpage 2002 or later and url]...i have both but it still says i dont have it
We are about to shift from linux server to plesk for some reasons given by our management.
I am interested to know that Plesk 8.X or 9.X comes with MS SQL edition in built? or we have to install that separately? This is for a hosting server so the server should have both MY SQL and MS SQL both, how to shift this in plesk, is it possible?
Also if we install plesk will it come with tomcat server? or not? some hosting clients need Java with tomcat?
