Data Lost , But Still Have Old Home Drive , How To Copy To New Drive
Jan 26, 20071- i did Os Reload with new Hard drive for "home"
2- data "backups" drive lost
3- replaced the old home drive as "/old drive"
4- " /old drive " is now the secondry drive in my server and it has the all sites usres and evry thing
5- what i need , to trasfer, copy this sites from " /old drive " to "home"

The /olddrive/home directory contains the contents that were previously in the /home directory. You can copy files from this directory to any other directory on your server.
The command to copy files in the UNIX environment is the "cp" command.
The user directories in /olddrive/home directory contain the web page files for the users. However, simply copying the contents over will not recreate the users or domain entries in DNS/httpd. If you wish these back you will need to recreate them manually or restore them from backups.
Drive Corrupt, Recovery From 2nd Drive Mount

The server is displaying these errors when I tried to do an FSCK:
Bad inode IO
ext3-fs error (device(8,3)) IO Failure
I am having a new primary installed and old primary set as 2nd drive. I need to recover the cpanel domain accounts from this 2nd drive after I mount it with the method below:
mkdir /backup
mount /dev/sdb1 /backup
However, how do I actually recover these accounts in an automated process via whm? I've done this before with the same matter (corrupt primary drive, mount as 2nd, etc) but cannot exactly remember the proper steps.
How To Copy My Current Drive Contents To A New Drive
Dec 28, 2007I just purchased a brand new 10K 150GB drive. How can I take an exact copy of my current drive and transfer everything over to the new drive? I think I need to create a snapshop, or mirror it somehow.
What software will do this? I was told trueimage, but its very pricy, is there anything else?
Drive Corrupt - Should I Ask For New Drive Or Reimage
Jul 9, 2007I have a dedicated box and I started getting Input/output errors today.
I tried:
# fsck
fsck 1.40-WIP (14-Nov-2006)
e2fsck 1.40-WIP (14-Nov-2006)
/dev/hda2: recovering journal
fsck.ext3: unable to set superblock flags on /dev/hda2
then I tried:
# fsck -a -t ext3 /dev/hda2
fsck 1.40-WIP (14-Nov-2006)
/dev/hda2: recovering journal
fsck.ext3: unable to set superblock flags on /dev/hda2
My data is backed up, so was going to ask for a reimage, but is this an indication of bad hardware? Should I ask for a replacement drive? Is there anything else I should try on my own before going to the host?

Used Apache Update/some PHP Scripts No Longer Working
Jan 26, 2008Having some issues here, I used Apache Update to install WHMCS as I didn't have Curl installed. Well had some issues using the username and password as it couldn't connect to the database, my modernbill and phpnuke scripts still work but some other scripts like joomla, some shopping cart software, and other MYSQL scripts are not working.
I've run test scripts to see if I can connect to the database, got the following error with the PHP test script
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'data_invoice'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/data/public_html/test2.php on line 4
I cannot connect to the database because:Access denied for user 'data_invoice'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Also attempted it in SSH and getting a similar error that access is denied. Username and password are correct. I believe I upgraded PHP which my guess is what caused this. I've searched the forum for a few solutions and I had the problem in the past which I fixed it, but it's been a while.
After Easyapache Www.domain Alias No Longer Works

Hostway Service No Longer Good - Hosting Is Down Today
Jun 25, 2008I used to recommend Hostway.com to other companies, as they host our eCommerce site as a shared hosting site and their uptime and customer service were very good.
But, NEVER AGAIN. Today, they have been down ALL DAY since around 10:30 am (they would not give me the exact time) and so has our business site! I called twice and the wait time the first time for a tech support person was over 1 hour! IN-FRIGGING-CREDIBLE! The 2nd call a few hours later was at least a 45 minute wait.
The answer I got was that they had a hard drive crash and my site is unlucky enough to live on that drive. Understandable, but their explanation that it takes ALL DAY to restore a hard drive from tape is incredible (or havent they heard of RAID systems??). In any case, our site came back up for a few minutes and is back down again. Downtime since 10:30 or so is approaching 6 hours now!
So, I will no longer recommend HOSTWAY to anyone for any reason. The incredible wait times on the phone line are ridiculous and we have lost $$$ today due to this outage and associated loses from adwords, too.
Finally, it seems that Hostway's other problem is that they are trying to offer too many other kinds of services besides just hosting (which they used to be good at), and now they suck at their core basic service. That's my two cents.
Any recommendations for a replacement hosting service that is reliable and well known?
I think I pay about $50/3 months for Hostway.
Apache :: Specified Network Name Is No Longer Available - Asynchronous AcceptEx Failed

(OS 64)The specified network name is no longer available. : AH00341: winnt_accept: Asynchronous AcceptEx failed.
I have already set these recommended options in httpd.conf.

EnableSendfile off
I am running Apache 2.4.1 with PHP 5.3.10 on a Win2k3 SP2. Never got such errors with previous Apache versions.
Apache :: 2.2 To 2.4 Includes No Longer Work For SHTML Files
Oct 23, 2014I use the Apache server included with Mac OSX as my local development and testing environment for front-end web coding work. On the latest update to Yosemite (10.10), all of my .shtml files stopped processing my include virtual statements (or any SSI statements, for that matter).
I'm not seeing any errors, but the includes just show up like commented out code in the HTML when I view source. I've set up Apache to use a httpd-vhosts.conf for my various local dev servers (project1.local, test.local, etc...) Nothing seems to work.
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Upgraded And Now PSA Service Will No Longer Start
Jun 19, 2014I upgraded today from 11 to 12, however since the upgrade I am now unable to start the PSA Service, it comes up with the below error.
Starting psa... Starting sw-engine-fpm: Thu Jun 19 13:22:29 2014 (7885): Fatal Error Unable to allocate shared memory segment of 104857600 bytes: mmap: Cannot allocate memory (12)
I have checked resources and everything should be fine, I cant see a reason why it cant allocate the memory, as there is plenty free for it to take from.
I have tried a Bootstrapper repair for 12 however this has not found any issues other than its not able to stop the PSA Service (As its not running)
Everything else is up and running its just the Parallels backend which im guessing is what the PSA Service is!
Mirror Drive A > Drive B
Feb 6, 2007I have a Win2K3 server which has 2 hard drives. I was considering backup options and I thought that I might try mirroring Drive A ==> Drive B. I would think that, then, if Drive A has a hardware failure, I could simply switch Drive B into the Primary slot (A) and the server would continue to hum along as nothing has happened. This would reduce the downtime, hopefully.
I have 3 questions.
1. Is this idea practical (will it work)?
2. What is a good software program to use fto handle the mirroring?
3. Any considerations, warnings, technical advice in regard to this method?
Script For Dedicated Hosts That Need To See Which Domains No Longer Point To Server
May 27, 2009I'm trying to find a script of some kind that determines which domains (from a list on the box) no longer point to the server. I have to believe this exists somewhere, but with searching I'm coming up empty.
Plesk and cPanel are my targets. I could build it myself with some time, but honestly, I'm one of those guys that doesn't like to reinvent the wheel when it's already out there...even if as a paid script.
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: After Upgrade To 12.0.18 - PHP Session Files Are No Longer Being Deleted
Sep 21, 2014I recently updated from 11.5 to 12. After the update, my PHP session files are no longer being deleted.
I followed the steps in article 119500 [URL] ..... I was able to run the steps manually but cron does not seem to able to run them automatically.
The PHP sessions folder permissions seem correct:
drwx-wx-wt 2 root root 548864 Sep 21 12:12 session
The "/etc/php.ini" file seems reasonable and the session file path seems correct:
session.save_path = "/var/lib/php/session"
But the session files never get deleted automatically. The session folder fills up quickly and I have been deleting session files manually while trying to resolve the problem. How can I verify that the default Plesk cron jobs are set up and running properly?
Plesk 12.x / Windows :: Can No Longer Access Admin Panel Remotely

Plesk Panel 12.0.18 Update #36, last updated at Feb 20, 2015
my server running version 12 on win server 2012r2 of the panel. Sometime in the last few days something has changed and I can no longer load the Admin panel on ip:8443.
I can access the panel by using remote desktop into my server and loading it locally.
I also can not connect to the server using the mobile manager app or via telnet. If I disable the firewall in the Plesk panel it works fine so I checked my firewall but incoming on 8443 is allowed. It seems the firewall is blocking ports that were previously open as I can't remote access my MS SQL server either without switching the firewall off.
The only change I'm aware of since I last used the panel is the update #36 install. Not sure where to look next?
How Do You Delete The Script / Important Database Data If You No Longer Rent A Server
Apr 24, 2009I would like to know how to delete the script/important database data on a server in case of no longer rent it.
I will cancel a server in the coming month, but there are some critical password hardcode in my script. I am afraid it's not safe if only use a command liked "rm"
However, it's seem that it's not possible for me to format the HDD or run a fill zero software.
