how i can Report this web site to DataCenter?

I am starting up a mail order bride website.
I already have a server in Malaysia that I am using to run an asain based site. Off a .asia domain.
I am currently in Malaysia just now and I noticed especially on the weekends the networks seem to slow alot in Malaysia due to everyone playing games at the Cyber Cafes (its what they do instead of pubs).
While back in home the UK the Internet seems super fast all the time due to are advanced infrustructure.
Now should I use my server in Malaysia (ultra cheap prices) to host the site so or get a server in Europe preferably America?
The pros i see for Malaysia is the potential brides in asia will get quick access to the site.
The pros for Europe or America is the customer base will get quick access.
I might be wrong about this, maybe the speed wont; be affected to much either way, but I am a newb
Also if i was to have both a server in America and one in Asia could I link them together under that same site name? and how would that work with the database?
I am running apache currently on my QNAP server, and have enabled webserver and LDAP. We have set up users on LDAP. I have created a landing page for access from the internet. I want to configure Apache to authenticate the users using LDAP before granting access to the landing directory.
I have started this with the apache configuration below: My apache config file -
Code:
LogLevel debug
CustomLog "logs/access_log" combined
ErrorLog "logs/error_log"
LoadModule ldap_module modules/mod_ldap.so
LoadModule authnz_ldap_module modules/mod_authnz_ldap.so
ServerName MyServer
LDAPTrustedMode NONE
LDAPVerifyServerCert Off
[Code] ....
When I access my page, I get the authentication prompt. But when I enter my LDAP login and password, I get thrown out of the system with the error:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, admin@NAS and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Looks like my apache configuration is a problem as I am able access my LDAP and everything with LDAP seems to be working fine except Apache configuration to authenticate against LDAP.
im planning to colo server at [url]
anyone here have any review about them
the main reason for going with them is im gonna choose hongkong data center and
warez are allowed in hongkong so thats why im preferring them , because many
of my hosting customer need to host warez.
so pls get me some Suggestion If You Have Better Options and also
reviews about them.
I'm planing on virtualizing my server and selling off windows 2008 virtual machines running on windows server 2008 hyper-v.
Is it common for people with dedicated servers to sell off virtual slices?
I'm kinda confused about warez linking allowed VPS hosters.. Most of them they say "Warez Linking is allowed" "AS LONG AS IT'S LEGAL" Is there a legal warez? I though that warez is illegal in the first place!
I'm planing to buy a VPS Plan from fsckvps.com, but I'm afraid they might terminate my account, so want to make sure if I will work fine with them, I've contacted them as pre-sale question, they said that warez linking is allowed as long as nothing is hosted on their server.
Okay, Now what's legal warez? My site content actually is New worldwide music albums, info, Movies, Cracked/nulled softwares..
Download links are included, but hosted on sharing site such as 4shared.com etc..
Will this be fine? Or I might experience account termination?
I'm just inches away from purchasing their 512MB RAM Plan, this is my final question.
I have multiple dedicated servers all running cPanel and WHM they are all CentOS. Currently when a new client signs up we manually create the account after we have recieved payment.
We then manually bill each cycle.
I am looking at setting up an automated billing / sign up system but how does this work with all the sites spread over different servers?
If the user links to a different page and domain hosted by the same company is the browser experience quicker? If I have 2 webpages with 2 different hosts and wish to link them is there any meaningful slowdown for the user, to transfer to different pages with different hosts.
Do all the pages of a domain need to be hosted from the one host?
I sent a copyright complain to ecatel for one of his clients but I didnt get any replay and for more none of my copyright files were deleted.
what to do in order to delete my files in his client's server?
We are seeing good reviews about cologuys' dedicated servers but we are concerned that they host piracy sites such as << snipped >> (super illegal site) and << snipped >> (service to download rapidshare links without waiting). I'm assuming this is against their TOS but what we're more concerned with is should Cologuys ever get busted for hosting warez would our servers be affected in any way?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI think that most of us know that very big no. of warez links sites keep sites at LeaseWeb network.
Is that mean that LeaseWeb allow warez links?
I contacted thaem, but they say NO, we do not allow any kind of warez. Not true how I can see...
I'm trying to get a problem with image hotlinking under control. What I'd like is to allow linking to thumbnails but only allow the fullsize images to be served via another page.
What I'd like is to allow all request to /thumbs/(1-99)/*.jpg but redirect all calls to uploads/(1-99)/*.jpg to view_image.php while allowing all calls to any other existing php page on the site.
I thought it would be something like this but I've tried many variation on the standard denying hotlinking .htaccess scripts I've got and they work to a point but I can't seem to combine them to perform the above?
Can someone please put me out of my misery or point me to a good mod_rewrite tutorial!!!
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} uploads/(.*)/(.*).(gif|jpe?g|png)$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^mysite.com$
RewriteRule (.*) /view_image.php?/$1 [R,NC,L]
I saw a website a few days ago hosting Warez and hacking, But they wasn't directly download from there website. They was only linking? is this illegal in the UK just to link to warez, Like to rapidshare, megaupload, etc..? Whats there law like?, Can anyone explain if this is a good idea or not?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI noticed in the apache error logs that Yahoo and Google (mostly Yahoo) have been crawling one of my clients' sites for warez, cracks and serials, but these files don't exist (and hence they're ending up with 404 errors in the error logs).
The IPs that are doing this are legit (as far as I can tell)... 74.6.20.32, 74.6.74.50, 66.249.65.178
It's systematically hitting the server once every second or two, looking for files such as "free.serial.no.of.flash.professional.8.jsp", "trainer.SimCity.4.million.jsp", "Paragon.Partition.Manager.v.7.crack.jsp"
and this has been happening for at least a day now.
Now here's the thing. The site has gone through a redesign about 4 months ago, and the previous site was running an old version of PHP Nuke that was filled with spam (from tracebacks), and a photo gallery manager which was probably not installed securely. The new site utilizes Joomla, and all the previous elements are gone (in fact the site was migrated to my servers after the redesign, so my servers never hosted their old PHP Nuke or photo gallery).
These mysterious crawls from Yahoo and Google all seem to hit the photo gallery URLs, such as http://www.domain.com/albums/album01...v3.1.patch.jsp
The other weird part is, all the links end with .jsp. The site's previous server did not have JSP support, and neither does mine.
Also before we moved the site over to my server, I archived their entire website on their old server, and none of these files exist there.
Doing a search on Google on their site (site:www.domain.com) doesn't show any of these files. Searching Google for links that point to the site also don't show anything out of the ordinary.
This has me baffled... Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
We have a portal which collect videos from all the video sharing sites such as Dailymotion, Veoh, YouTube,etc... No actual videos are hosted on our servers.
Recently, We got a letter from the lawyer of the copyright owner of some videos, stating that we are not allowed to link to these videos on our sites. If we dont remove those links they will take legal action on us.
So, my question is that can they actually sue us for linking to videos on youtube,dailymotion....?
The server is located in Chicago, if that makes any different?
As far as i know, if we dont store the actual copyright content on our servers then it is fine, at least with US law?
And i think they are just trying to scare us since there are like hundred of sites that doing the same thing and i see keeping doing it.

linking domains to folders. Im using webmin on a Debian server, and setting up the DNS and BIND isn't a problem, i can do that, but what if i want to link, lets say example.com to the folder hdoc/example/ , how would one do that?
At the moment when setting up the zones, they link to the main page.

Is it common for 10-15$+/month to provide only 1 database?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI am looking to get hosting for site that I want to build. At the moment I am looking for shared hosting. Things that I need from the host are unlimited MySQL databases, Unlimited Domains/Sub-Domains, 5GB Disk Space and 10 GB Data transfer. My budget is about $10/month. I know hostgator provides 1 month for 1cent after coupon. I know hostgator oversells but their plans meet my requirements and from what I have read here they aren't too bad. Are there any other hosts that provide the first month for free or close to free, I would like to try out the hosting service for a month to see for myself how they are.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am a front end designer/developer with no server-side expertise. I am probably going to have to provide hosting to my freelance clients very soon. These would be small WP sites with low traffic, but there could be as many as 50 domains being hosted at a time just to begin with.
I need the host provider to do all the tech work and provide support to me, if not to the clients (who will inevitable contact me to deal with problems, which is OK). I am not able to manage/troubleshoot my own server.
I am considering Mosso/Rackspace, but recently I've heard some very negative comments on forums (such as this one) that are concerning me.
Does anyone have a recommendation given my needs and experience level with servers/hosting? I am not looking for a "cheap deal" - I need reliable service and peace of mind.
I mean like no ID checks and they provide instant setup if I am paying by paypal. I know credit card they find it risky but I am paying with paypal they should not ask for any ID verification and Hostgator claims they provide instant setup but its very rare they flag your order even if you pay by paypal.
View 14 Replies View RelatedAs the subject implies, does anyone know of any VPS providers that provide free OS reloads, if at all possible? The reason I'm asking is because I am planning on building my Linux system administration skills, allowing me to eventually manage my own server. I am real competent when it comes to Windows, however, I really don't want to use it as much as possible.
So if you know of a VPS provider that provides free OS reloads, I would be real grateful if you could share them to me.
I want to register a domain from some organization. During the registration the registrar asks me to provide a primary DNS with an IP address and a secondary DNS with an IP address.
Because I have already a website with a godaddy hosting, I want that may new domain also points to my godaddy hosting. So I have to provide the DNS of my godaddy hosting to the domain registration company.
But my question is; Which IP address do they require? Do they ask me the IP address of my DNS’s (NS43.DOMAINCONTROL.COM, NS44.DOMAINCONTROL.COM) or the IP address of the server on which my website is running.
