I am having an issue where I have a server that Directadmin is installed on. I go to the a url that is on the server and all i see is the default page of apache saying congrats, it is installed. Although there is no file like that in the public_html any longer and I can see my files in the public_html folder of that specific site.

And for lxadmin the same :

This is the LxAdmin Default Page

View 3 Replies View RelatedOur servers Shared IP seems to be loading the first domain name in the httpd.conf file as the servers default page.
I want to change the default page to either our main domain or to the apaches "success!" default webpage.
We're using cpanel. I'm unsure why it's loading the first domain when you load the IP.
It used to load properly but for some odd reason stopped working. I suspect a cpanel update was the culprit.
I was using Apache's <Directory> directive to modify the way the default indexes look.
I recently moved from openSUSE to Windows Server 2003 and copied over the Directory code but it no longer works.
Code:

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have domains parked on a subdomain. Since i updated the apache configuration with cPanel the parked domains just show the default apache configuration. The domain shows up under parked domains. I can delete the domain and readd then it works. However, that isn't a good option cause there are 100+ domains.

I'm trying to add a second nic to one of my servers.
eth0 is connected directly to the internet on a public IP.
eth1 is connected to a private network 172.16.0.0/24.
When I try to add the eth1, I can no longer reach my server from the public address. The gateway for eth1 is 172.16.0.1.
If I leave the gateway field blank for eth1, the server can still be reached on the public address and can also talk to clients on the lan. However, I would really like to figure out why I can't add the default gateway parameter.
I was on a server (reseller account) that ran PHPSuexec and default permissions were 755/644 as they should be.
We moved to a new cPanel 11 server and default permissions are 775/664. This is the same on 4 different servers from 4 different hosting companies (all reseller accounts). Three are CentOS, one RedHat Enterprise.
I entered a support ticket for one company and they said the permissions were not right and supposedly fixed it (I have left that company since then so I can't check).
The other hosting companies say their umasks are right and would not change it.
Apparently the apache installation defaults to these permissions which, security wise, seems kinda strange.
Can anyone shed some light on whether or not this is secure and does this mean I'm going to have change permissions evertime I upload files to install shopping carts, billing software etc.? (It's not hard it's just stupid to have to).
Should my hosts change apache system umask (022) to make permissions default to 755/644?

I am gonna host a multi-platform website from my home server soon. My home server is basically IIS7 on Windows server 2008. However , I am currently experimenting with IIS7 on vista business .Unfortunalely I have experimented so much that I need to reset IIS7 to default settings.

In lxadmin currently no domain is set as default domain and what would happen if I set one of the site as a default domain? What changes can be noticed and will there be any kind of effect on that particular domain?

I was wondering if I could change the default port of vnc server and how to do so?
What is the default port for vncserver server anyway? Is it 5900?
This came as a surprise today, I setup a server-based RSS reader and could not get WHT's forum RSS feeds. A little digging revealed it was the default APF installation that was blocking the 174.0.0.0/8 range, which includes WHT and a chunk of Softlayer's ip range.
The quick fix is easy, just remove that range from the /etc/apf/internals/reserved.networks file and restart, in the latest apf version, I don't know how many apf versions back this block goes.
The APF folks do a fantastic job in keeping APF up to date, but this seems to be recent update to this particular ip range that hasn't made it into APF yet.
