Ive just tried to block an IP address in cPanel, and I got this error:

I have a server setup and running shared hosting perfectly. I duplicated one of the plans and just set it to DEDICATED IP. This is for users that will be requiring SSL.
I then went into my panel settings and added in all the additional ip's. It even says in the panel listing "6 dedicated ip's available".
Yet, when I try to re-run the task for provisioning it constantly fails with the message:
Unable to create hosting. Ip address does not exist in client's pool ....

like CPU should be minimal, as long as it can send and receive large files to and from a main server which has apache + php + mysql running in it...

I would advise that you resolve as many of these errors as you are able.
As to what caused the load on your server, I can't say. There is nothing in your logs to indicate the source of the problem. During the 1PM period when your server overloaded last there were only 29 errors in Apache. The errors that occurred during this time would not cause excessive load.
I have installed a script to monitor your server. If this load issue occurs again within one week or before your next reboot, whichever comes first, we should be able to determine the source from the script's logs in /var/log/sys-snap.sh.

I am using single Apache HTTP Server (2.2.23) as a Load Balancer with two IBM Websphere application server nodes (other machines). I have deployed the simple text based helloWorld application and it works fine with load balancer. But When I deploy the real application that contains images,css file , java script file. It loads the page without images and show me simple text and gives me the following Exception on error_logs and similar kind of exceptions

Interestingly, when I access the application without load balancer, it also works fine.

Apache is throwing out a 404 error for a directory that I know for a fact exists (images). It gives out the error when browsing the directory or when accessing any file contained in it.
I have looked for .htaccess issues, redirects, changing permissions and everything else I can think of.
Does anybody have a clue why this might be happening? If I create any other directory then this problem does not happen.

I have moved my sites from old server with Apache 1.3 to new one with Apache 2.2.4. Since that time, the error log is full of these lines:

The access logs show even more accesses, so sometimes the same page is ok, sometimes it is logged here. The strange thing is that these files (pages) exist! They are accessible through the browser without any problem.
Do you have any idea where could be the problem? It would helped me lot, I am unable to find any real problem now, when error log is full of these.
My OS is Ubuntu 6.06. I use mod_rewrite through .htaccess. I can provide list of apache modules, if it helps.

I've been using a Fedora Core 6 box to develop my site with PHP and MySQL. The web directory is /var/www/html.
I just recently bought my first hosting plan, and it says to upload my site to the Htdocs folder.
Is this a BSD server? I know nothing about BSD, and I'm worried, because I don't know if my site is going to need to be re-written. You see, some of my files, like the db connection script, are in /var/www/myfoldername ... Is there an equivalent on my new rented server, where I can put these files?
How about my databases? When I run the installer I wrote to create them, it just creates them, and FC6 has been doing what it will with them to get them working. Am I going to have issues connecting, because they're stored in a different dir?

I have set up a ftp server for my clients to upload files.
I have setup 2 users, client and administrator.
When a client logs he uploads his files to a folder called upload_files.
But he cannot view files in that folder.
If I log in as administrator I can see all the files and folders.
But I can only delete files uploaded to the upload_files folder.
If the client uploads a folder with files into it, then I cannot delete it since the folder owner is client.
Ex:
/upload_files/image.jpg Can Delete
/upload_files/new_folder/image.jpg Can't Delete

"Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client"
I upgraded from MySQL 4 to 5 and everything was fine for about a week. On Monday, I get the error above. From what I've read, this is the oldpassword/new password hash error that I can fix in about 2 minutes on my server. However, this is on a Parcom server, and Parcom has been sloooowww to react.
Can anyone think of another reason why this would be coming up? It's running fine on 3 other PCs that I run as a backup. I've dropped the database twice and rebuilt it twice, still with the same error. Ditto for the user/pass.

does anyone have a fix for the Exchange 2007 kerberos issue when connecting Kayako to Exchange via pop3 or imap?

ive set up Exchange 2007 on WS2008. I have a domain "fasterfasterfaster.net"
its nameservers are changed correctly and is pointing to the right IP address including the @ and CNAME records.
the mx record is set to mail.fasterfasterfaster.net
my DC is called "faster.local"
in the org configuration > hub transport, I have accepted domains:
fasterfasterfaster.net Authoritative
mail.fasterfasterfaster.net Authoritative
faster.local Authoritative
also in the org config, there is an internet send connector. its FQDN is mail.fasterfasterfaster.net.
for the Server config > hub transport:
Client is enabled with the FQDN: mail.fasterfasterfaster.net and permission groups enabled:
Anonymous, exchange users, exchange servers and legacy exchange servers
the Default is enabled with its FQDN to machineName.faster.local and same permission groups as above.
problem is, I am unable to recieve any emails (no bouncebacks)
And when I send email from an exchange account, the recipient recieves it from account@faster.local

Have been receiving the following warnings for more than a day. Does BFD auto execute a permanent ban or do I have to do it myself? If so, how? Also, I did a whois, found out the service provider, and sent an email regarding abuse. I have yet to receive a reply.
I was wondering since its a HK IP, do I have to send the message in chinese? Would anyone be kind enough to do so?
