Server Hard Disk Crashed Badly, How To Recover It

My server hard disk is crashed badly. The rescue function in the server cannot take part and so I've tried using some recovery software to get back my data.
I've tried using Easy Recovery Professional. It sort all the files by it file type into different folder. I found a folder named .DB, there are also some .ado and . ldb folder too. I guess one of it is my database. The problem now is, i dunno how to read the file.
Do you have any idea to read it? I've tried many recovery system. eg. DiskInternals Linux Recovery, Disk Doctor Linux Recovery.

I have a crashed HD that I want to recover the data. I wonder if there is any method or software out there that can do this for me.
The hard drive is installed with centos and uses ext3 filesystem.
I have tried doing a mount, not if it is done correctly, but I only see "lost+found" on the hard drive.
Usually when this happens on my hard drive w/ windows, I use some data recovery software to extract the data. I don't know which software will do this for me on an ext3 filesystem running centos.

I just recently had a hard drive failure that produced the following error

I have a server with two hard disks.
The centos operating system and plesk (and also apache webserver) are installed on the first hard disk.
I have mounted the second hard disk (6 TB with ext4 file system) in a folder under /var/www/vhosts/AHostingAccount directory.
This folder is accessible via plesk's file manager but i cannot access it via ftp.

I have a new CentOS 7, with Plesk 12, CentOS 7 by default has XFS filesystem.
I try migrate sites from another Plesk Server but Plesk agent say: "hard disk quota is not supported due to configuration of server file system" (my CentOS 7)
My CentOS7:
CentOS Linux 7.0.1406 64 bits
Plesk 12.0.36
My fstab

I added "usrquota,grpquota", then mount -o remount / ; but when I try quotacheck -fmv / I gest this:

quotacheck: Cannot find filesystem to check or filesystem not mounted with quota option.
but quotaon command works:
[root@ns ~]$ quotaon /

The problem here is why Plesk does not recognize quotas as enabled on CentOS 7??
If I try this command it seems good:
[root@ns ~]$ /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/usermng --isquotable

Also I do this:
- Disabled Selinux
- Check all packages as quota, etc.

I currently have a 160gb HDD and its almost full.. I wanted to mount another on the server so can anyone assist me in doing it..
And one more thing..
Currently i have all my data in the /home/user/public_html/ folder which is on my current HD.. Now if i add the second HDD to it how will the data be managed..
I mean if suppose someone uploads a file in my site then in which HDD will it go and when it gets downloaded then how will it know from where to download it..

I am running a dating website and getting more and more users with every day. They can upload from 10 till 100 pictures depending of their account satatus. Server's hard disk will be full in some 5-6 months. I can not attach unlimited amount of hard disks to the same machine. What can I do in this situation?

My server (Fedora Core V and Plesk 8) hard disk broke 2 days ago and my bakckup tar.gz is too old.
Datacenter (fdcservers.net) tried to put old harddisk as slave but server is not recognising the old drive. Datacenter say that can not do anything more.
My question:
Is there any software or company that can recovery my harddisk data?
My last 6 months work is gone now.

trying to get my Win2k3 Standard R2 server to work.
Problem:
I did some Windows update around 3am this morning but during the update process. I lost Remote desktop connection as my machine is do several attempts to connect with the remote server. I cancel the attempt after several try. I figure i can remote desktop back in again if i wait for a bit but I couldn't re-establish the connection with my remote server. So, I drove to the Datacenter to check it out and it turn out the machine have rebooted and I'm stuck with "NTDetect failed" error message. After some googling, I was trying to fix this error by copying NTLDR and NTDetect.COM into C: but when i tried to use the Win2k3 CD to go into Windows Setup and repair. I got an error message telling me that "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer...".
After some googling, I found the two Maxtor SATA hard disks might be the problem and one soultion that i found was to disable the SATA or set it to IDE since the motherboard have nvida RAID controller onboard. I check the BIOS and the RAID is set to disabled and then i tried to disable SATA and only enable IDE. It still give me the same error message about not able to find any hard disk.
I'm on my last rope here. I'm short of reformatting the hard disk and do a fresh reinstall but I will like to avoid this.
Does anyone know if cancel Remote desktop connection attempt during Windows update process cause this NTdetect failed problem or something else that might related to my hardware. I can assure you that two SATA hard disks shown on BIOS.
The soultion to NTDecte failed problem seem to be just copying NTLDR and NTdectect.com into C: but since i can't even get to Repair mode during Windows setup with no disk install error. Can someone recommand how to solve this problem?
The motherboard that i use is ASUS M2N-MX SE AM2 NVIDIA GeForce6100 / nForce430 and the BIOS is American Megatrends Inc.

about a video sharing website.
I found phpmotion [url] and thinking about using this script, not only it is free but also it has the funtion that alow direct transfer video files from youtube to my server. Moreover, the phpmotion community is lovely.
The problem is that my hosting provider said this script is bad.

I'm hosting proxy sites on my vps and untill yesterday my proxy worked fine with no problems at all.
But while going trough my server graphs I found it odd that I had 0 bandwidth since the middle of yesterday.. I first supposed that this was due school's out [url]but this wasn't the reason I found out!
I tried testing one of my proxies to see if it was still working, but with any URL I try to visit I get:
The requested resource could not be loaded. libcurl returned the error: Couldn't resolve host 'www.google.com'
I suppose the DNS server crashed?
I already restarted the VPS 3 times including the DNS Server.

Does anyone know of any services that can help retrieve data from a crashed server. The server is managed but the support are saying that they are having problems retriving the data. The server had an os reload and they can't slave the old disk.

When I look at the whole error_log it seems like such errors appear frequently and for different websites and PHP applications. This isn't the only glibc error, there's also stuff like "*** glibc detected *** corrupted double-linked list: 0x088e0bb8 ***". I have recently installed eAccelerator and searched the web: I'm not the only one who has such problems with eAccelerator. Do you think these glibc errors may have caused the server to crash?
Also, lately I noticed a lot of lines like these in the /var/log/messages file:

I've done some Google'ing on the first error and it seems like someone with the same error got it fixed by running a filesystem check... By the way /dev/sda7 is my /home directory. But in order to run a filesystem check I need to disable all services and unmount /home? That's kind of a pain in the ***... In general, how long do you think it takes to run a filesystem check? I had an issue with limestonenetworks over the last 24 hours. My 2 servers went down for 12 hours but when it came back up the separate mysql server would not load?? Somehow the hard drive on that server failed during this upgrade and they cannot retrieve the databases on the server. A database containing over 60,000 members. Through my own undoing I didnt have a recent backup. A cpanel backup was backing up the same old file instead of the updated one.
I would have been happy if the site came back and at least the data was still there. Im just upset that this "network upgrade" has fried my database. From this I get the lesson "You get what you pay for". Im just keeping my fingers crossed that they will be kind enough to make a serious attempt to recover the data or at least let me send it to someone who can.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get retrieve data from a linux server hard-drive?
Here are the steps that have been taken so far:
Upon console of the server it was at DISK BOOT FAILURE prompt. We first did the basics and disconnected the server and made sure all connections to the hard disk and motherboard were secure. Upon reboot we checked to see if the BIOS detected the drive which it did. The server still reported disk boot failure. We then rebooted back into the BIOS to make sure the BIOS was set not skipping the hard drive in the boot process.
It was not.
The "recovery tools" we ran was just a basic linux live cd to see if we could get the hard drive detected inside of an operating system. It would not even detect the disk in the machine. We did not perform anything on the drive to cause it to fail. I spoke directly to my manager who was supervising the move and I was told that all servers were shut down cleanly as well as moved safely and securely.
The hard disk is still detected by the BIOS but the hard disk certainly has some internal issues as you can hear a constant buzzing and clicking during POST and after.

It seems the servers dns will not resolve and has crashed. When starting the "Named" service, here is the error:

As I have never used cPanel neither have whatsoever experience with control panels, in the process of ordering a couple of new server I am wondering what's the average recovery time after a server failure which involves data (ie. disk failure).
I am interested to understand this, because I need to choose between hardware raid or backup disk.
For example, at LiquidWeb (this is just one of the many managed providers i am evaluating) you can pay the same server 264$ with 2x250 hardware raid 1, and 219$ with 2x250 simple hard drives, where the second one is supposed to be a backup drive.
I am yet to ask, but on this servers most likely (at this prices) they do not have hot swappable disk drives where they can rebuild the array "live", so also if i choose raid hardware, in case of a disk failure, i face a downtime to bring down the server, rebuild the array, bring on the server, which I guess is something not less than 30-60 minutes downtime.
The advantage of this solution is that a disk failure keeps the system running, so you can schedule a maintenance window to replace the disk and rebuild the array, I guess.
On the other side, relying on a backup disk (and of course rsyncing data to an offsite server, i would do this anyway) you save 45$ each month, and disks after all do not fail every month.
If the main disk fails, they need to replace the disk, install again the server with what I suppose being a standard image (so let's figure a couple of hours, as they have a 30min hardware replacement sla), then you need to restore backups (which in my case are something like 20gigs). So I guess, on an average, it would take something like 4 hours downtime.
Am I correct ?
What would you reccomend as a solution with cpanel, taking into account the huge price difference ? Backup drive or Hardware raid ?
This would be for a single big website, not a hosting-company with resellers and customers environment, so I would value more the monthly saving, rather than the high availability, but of course I am interested to know what is the average time to recover a cpanel server after a drive failure.
Besides I have also another question, as I have never had a colocated server with raid hardware, so i do not know anything about this.
When a drive fails in a raid1 hardware environment, how the hosting provider gets notified ? I suppose it's not a led on the server to blink, as no one would see it.
So if you have software raid (like my computer at home) you get an email from mdadm with "warning, array degraded", so you know it quick and you can check it anytime doing a ' cat /proc/mdstat '. What about hardware raid?
My fear is that nobody notices my raid1 drive failure, the server keeps going on just a drive, then maybe the other drive fails, and it would be unpleasant: while a single drive failure would be obviously very easy to spot for me.

Windows Application 2003 crashed on RAID 5 server, we tried to take the NTFS files from the hardrive and mount them on a knobix which was booted from a cdrom drive. Knopix could read the files but it was unable to mount them I guess for compatiblity reasons.
Is there anyway we can get a backup of that ntfs file and restore our data?
