Resellers Are Not Permitted To Create Subdomains Of The Server's Main Domain
Whenever I try to create a user account I get the following error
Sorry, resellers are not permitted to create subdomains of the server's main domain
My server domain is www.domain.com and reseller is trying to create a user account like new.domain.com . It was working fine a few weeks back but I think since I upgraded the cpanel and whm, it doesnt allow creation of accounts anymore.
Could someone help me to fix this error please?
I own the VPS and the reseller and all other accounts.

Cpanel Main Domain Not Allowing Subdomains
When trying to make a subdomain on my main cpanel domain, through cpanel, it acts like it is making it, and adds the dns entry, but it does not work. All other domains work fine. I submitted a ticket to buycpanel, they asked for the login information this morning, and have not heard back from them. This has happened every since they installed cpanel. Lets say I have abcd.com as the main domain on cpanel. abcd.com has 10 subdomains. Basically what I want to do is when I do an addon domain or parked domain I want the subdomains to basically point to abcd.com automatically. I am about to create a domain for my shoutcast hosting service. Now, I am getting a dedicated server just to host the shoutcasts accounts, and keep on using my actual web hosting company for the new domain website and email support. Also I would like the shoutcast clients IP account to be: server1.mydomain.com So I need to create this subdomain in my shoutcast dedicated server? And what Name Servers should I use for my domain? I wonder, cos to be able to make the website and email I need to give the DNS of my web hosting company, but if I dont use the DNS of the Shoutcast Dedicated Server, would my clients be able to login to their account?

How To Point All Subdomains To Main Directory Using CPanel
Im using Cpanel and I would like to have all subdomains of a domain I host point to the main root directory of the site. How would I do that in cpanel? When I click on subdomains do I just put the wildcard * for the subdomain name? Also what do I do if I want to point all subdomains to the main directory except for the certain domains I specify? VPS- With Main Domain Name
I know from past experiences, a VPS is not suppose to be setup on a sub domain for the main domain name account. My VPS was setup on a sub domain which is not allowing my domain name to resolve the with the DNS server. How to fix this issue? I have been speaking with support all day, and we have fixed a few minor issues but my major concern is yet to be fixed and I'm still sending support tickets ( and they are working on it ) but it's been an all day afair...any sugestions from the peanut gallery?

I have a domain name as per my sig. I am also creating a subdomain totally in contrast with that site below. My primary domain has one page on it so i would like to: a) delete the one page on my primary domain b) Make the contents of my subdomain my primary domain. e.g my domain is www.info-peep.com, my sub will be example.info-peep.com........i would like to make example.info-peep.com : www.info-peep.com......that make sense, as really the sub will be my main site. Basically wanting to transfer the contents of my sub to my primary. So when people click info-peep.com, it will be the sub's site. Moving Main Domain To Another Server
I have my main domain (domain.com) and it is where all my sites and customer sites are pointed to (ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com). I just purchased a VPS and have made (domain.com) my main domain as I want it to be because of keeping the nameservers the same for my clients. My vision is this, I will transfer all the sites from my old cPanel account to my new DirectAdmin account. I have setup a time to let my clients know not to update any content on their sites. At that time I will then download the sites from the cPanel account to the DA account. I will then move my main domain (domain.com) over as well and then change the name server registries at namecheap. I understand some things can get lost in this switch, but ALL clients are aware of this and understand. They will still have access to the old server via the IP address to check for misdirected mail. Is this the simplest way to get this done? Is there a better way, with using the main domain?

Private Namer Servers For Resellers
I want to offer Resellers with their own Private Name Servers however don’t want to / can’t give every reseller 2 IP address for the name servers (costs etc...) I have read that I can use the same IP's as my Main Name servers for my clients private name servers. I have been in to WHM and ticked the 'Share Name Server IP's' box, then added name servers for a reseller e.g. ns1.reseller.com and ns2.reseller.com I have then updated the name servers on a domain I only use for testing, 123-reg says everything is fine etc... and it looks like I’m sorted. Anyway I waited a few days to make sure the name servers had propagated then tried to access the domain. Well I can't .... I've been back to WHM and checked everything, it looks fine. There are A Records within my DNS for the name servers and they seem to be the same as the main name servers that do work.

Email Being Picked Up As Spam From Hosted Domains. Main Domain Is Ok
i have a vps and although i can send mails without problem from my main root account, sending via any of the child accounts created for customers results in their email being picked up as spam (in hotmail at least). To clarify, mydomain.com is my main name. Email can send without problem, customersdomain.com, hosted on the same machine, when sending emails they are picked up as spam. The mx dns entries in the zone file are set (by default to) customersdomain.com. and for all the child domains customer1domain.com. etc. Do i need to ask the datacenter to add a reverse dns entry for mail.mydomain.com? Is this an issue with the mx records for the hosted domains? Should i change the hosted domaims mx entry on the customers domains to mail.mydomain.com? I know the ip isnt blacklisted because exactly the same email goes through when sending from the mydomain.com email addresses.

I purchased a domain, domain.com, from GoDaddy. I have 5 servers, 2 running CentOS and Apache, 3 running Windows Server 2003 and IIS. Each server has it's own dedicated IP address, so I can access each site by going to [url] Would I would like to be able to do is set each of these servers up with a subdomain on my domain.com. So I would have [url]going to one server, [url]going to another server, etc. I logged into GoDaddy's Domain Manager. However, it appears that the only form of subdomains they have is redirection. So while I can create server1.domain.com, it merely redirects to [url] I can mask the forward, but this creates problems with the login on the servers because they use cookies. In addition, the address always appears as [url], it doesn't have the "index.html" or "/login/login.aspx" when I click links. The actual links appear as "[url] and not "[url] Is there anything I can do? I want the subdomains to point to a particular IP address, not redirect.

Apache Overloading Due To Requests To My Main Domain Name Server (DNS) Name
I currently have a web VPS hosted with FDCServers.net and after 5 days of switching to it i am getting massive HTTP requests. When i login to WHM and hit apache status i have many requests per second by multiple IP's that are going to pages that simple don't exist. Currently my hostname for the server is set at web-01.optical-hosting.com which is what the requests are being sent to. I am also having a DNS issue because when i put http://web-01.optical-hosting.com in the web browser it displays the first account's site under "list accounts" in cpanel. Domain Name Server (DNS) Changes With Subdomains
I currently have shared hosting, but am getting VPS with another company. I'd like to keep my domains on my original hosting and direct the domains to the new server. I've been reading and it doesn't seem that hard to change for a regular domain. The problem is I don't seem to understand how to do the same for a subdomain. I keep reading about the A record and CNAME, but just don't get it. Does anyone have any experience with this. Do I just put the IP address for the new server in the A record? I just want to make sure I know what's going on before I order my new hosting and find out it's not possible or something. I'm also curious if mail, like myname@mydomain.com will continue to work. Or is there something I need to change for this as well.

This includes the setup of wildcard DNS so that each affiliate can have username.clientssite.com and have it count their clicks - which works properly. How would I go about setting up Bind on one of my Dedicated Servers? I noticed that you use three dns servers through pipedns and I thought you might be able to help me answer this question. How would I be able to have my friends and I point our domains to my server(s) and have bind make it work? I want to have one dns server and then I have my friends each on there own DEDI using my bind dns servers but I'm not sure how to do this. How would we add domains and the bind server know which server they are hosted on? Do you have to add the domains through bind? I know reminds you of something else doesn't it? Seriously though, If I have 1 managed linux dedicated server (CentOS w/ cpanel v.11) and 1 managed windows dedicated server (Windows Server 2003 w/ Plesk 8) and want to the setup automatically through WHMCS under the same domain name (or appearance) how would I accomplish this task? I know that I could simply add additional servers to the server configuration of 1 whmcs billing software installation. The problem is if I had to buy a separate domain for the other server and run them through 1 website it may appear shady to have the domain name change in the url during checkout. I've seen few web hosts other both kinds of hosting through 1 website without redirecting to a different domain. If I have to have 2 different domains assigned to 2 different server boxes could I mask/cloak/I don't know the technical word for it so that the url appears as the same domain weather purchasing shared hosting for windows or linux?

Domain Name Servers
I recently had my registrar change the name servers of [url] to point to a new host. Its been a month since that change was made. When I go to the website on my work computer, it seems to point to the new host during the day but in the evening around after 5PM for some reason it points to the old host. My registrar refuses to acknowledge a problem because they see the WHOIS information pointing to the correct name servers. When it is pointing to the new host I can login to cpanel and webmail using the new hosts' credentials. When it is pointing to the old host I can only use the old login credentials for the old host. So far this has only happened to me at work. Could it be something to do with my work ISP? When the domain is incorrectly pointing to the old host I can ask friends on other ISPs over instant messenger to check the domain and they are referred to the new web host.

I've noticed that my site has delays every few seconds when using the database. At least 2-4 seconds. Now the load is 0.05 basically. Managing Two Servers In One Domain
I'm trying to set up a new site on a new server, primarily informational, while maintaining the old order-taking and database functionality of the existing one. This new one is an Ubuntu vm with samba and apache all set, but the old one is running Tomcat and basically takes java programming to update. How can I properly route incoming requests to the proper server, pass back and forth login information (which resides on the old server), etc? I'm a relative newbie to all this, so the solution might be blindingly obvious, but it's a bit daunting to get them working in tandem.

Same Domain And Nameservers, Two Servers
I have two VPS packages. Both are running exactly the same stuff - Centos 5.3, cPanel/WHM, etc One domain (example.com), already pointing to first server (server1) Nameservers (ns1 & ns2.example.com) are set up in WHM of server1. I then bought a second VPS (server2). I want to be able to set up subdomains of my main domain (sub.example.com) on the second VPS. I also want my existing nameservers to work for server2. This way, I can provide subdomain packages to people and utilise both servers, and I can also provide the same nameservers to people regardless of the server they are on. I went to the clustering section of the WHM's, I enabled, and I can see server1 in the WHM of server2, and the other way around. I selected Sync Changes under DNS Role. However I don't think that's really done anything. How can I get this to work? Sorry if I've written it in a confusing manner.

Block Access To My Servers From A Domain
Exist a domain (domain.fm), this domain receives constant DDoS attacks and the webmaster of domain.fm has pointed the domain to my server and the DDOS attack has been redirected to me.
