My customer have a primary domain in PLESK and we parked 2 another domains on his domain, for example primary domain is domain.com and another domains is domain.net and domain.org .
now how we can create a sub domain with parked domains in PLESK ? for example sub.domain.org ?
I am using Web admin edition .I need to create two subdomains namely sub1.example.com and sub2.example.com with different IP address. So i need to create two webspaces since a webspace cannot have two domians pointing to two different IP. So now to I can create two webspaces set to different IP. But to create sub1.example.com in one webspace and sub2.example.com in another webspace , i need main domain example.com in both the workspace. But if try to create example.com in second webspace it already exists.Because it exists in another webspace. Actually i dont want to create example.com in both webspace. i need to its subdomain in different webspace.
So one solution is to create example.com and sub1.example.com in one webspace and create another webspace using Adding new webspace and specifying domain name as sub2.example.com. But i don't know does the second subdomain will work properly without creating main domain.
In Plesk (V. 12.0.18) there is no possibility to create mail accounts for subdomains via web interface. The KB article [URL] ..... describes this problem. The article suggests two possible ways.
I don´t want to use option 1 (create subdomain as additional domain) because a subdomain as domain wastes a domain in the license model.
Instead of that I tried the second way (command line interface). I can execute the first command without problems. When I try to execute the second command, I get the following error: "An error occured during mailname creation: Unable to set password: Domain of type subdomain selected".
I'm using a brand new Virtuozzo VPS, with (512mb) SLM memory managment, that standing to some "experts" would be a great way to manage memory, a great virtualization solution, and such.
This VE, supposedly, is hosted on excellent hardware (sas-scsi raid i/o, etc), so should have great performances, especially considering i don't run any control panel, i just run apache2+mysql5 (no email system or else), and i manage everything by myself (and i'm really experienced).
I'm experiencing on the contrary much worse performances than my previous 256mb XEN vps.
Sometimes you hear (virtuozzo fanboys i guess) about XEN slowness problems instead, because xen - supposedly - hasn't got a proper disk/io scheduler BUT provides individual custom swap space, so a customer could create a 5GB swap space and disrupt host machine performances by clogging the VPS, swapping a lot, causing insane i/o wait, etc... I've read a lot of topics about this "debate" in the past.
So you would expekt Virtuozzo having a wonderful cpu and disk i/o scheduler, instead.
You can read on Virtuozzo Website the following Claim : "Complete Isolation - VEs are secure and have full functional, fault and performance isolation."
On the contrary i'm having a lot of issues, supposedly coming from "bad neighbours", like idiots not being able to handle security of their vps, spammers, and so on, on my new virtuozzo VE ...
Everytime someone crashes his own VE on the same host machine, like causing a 100.0 load, even my VE goes offline with 400% i/o wait ...
My hosting provider (which i won't name at all, anyway) is doing an excellent job trying to minimize my inconveniences, really: but - in general - i'm beginning to wonder wheter this insane behaviour is "common" for a virtuozzo solution.
In short, I'm wondering - and i'd like an expert opinion on this - HOW THE HECK could this be possible ??
Isn't Virtuozzo supposed to have a I/O and CPU scheduler ? How in the earth can a single abuser loading insanely his VE affect all the other customers VEs ?
Can a host-server running Virtuozzo, be monopolized (100%cpu and insane i/o wait) by a single abusing VE ?
If this is true, i really don't understand where Virtuozzo advantage would be. Neither i understand the "complete performance isolation" claim by SwSoft.
"Create a zend id for your machine." This is apparently for them to create a product key for their software and have to bind to it?!
I have never heard of this and have been unable to locate any information on it.

Can I manage all from one .htaccess file in main root (www) or should I create "esp" directory (and point old subdomain to it - one for every language) and put .htaccess in every directory with redirection ?
I've set up some subdomains up in cPanel thinking that that would automatically change any url from www.domain.co.uk/test to test.domain.co.uk.
I know these are the same thing but I would like it so that if something links to or type in the address bar www.domain.co.uk/test then the address bar displays test.domain.co.uk.
I got many complaints from our customer that are using addon domain facilites. They cannot add mail account, see site stats, etc. I checked on /var/cpanel/users, there's no domain for addon domain they have but DNS zone is still there.
When I log in to their CPANEL, addon domain was still there too.
Anyone have the same issues? We have this problem raised since about 2 weeks ago on 4 of our servers.
My cpanel/whm license just got expired.. now i will buy new after 3/4 days so today i urgent want to add new user can any one tell command lines how to add user & domain & passwords
In an effort to install an SSL cert for a subdomain (secure.domain.com), I recreated my accounts in WHM. Account 1 has userA and domain domain.com, and Account 2 has userB and domain secure.domain.com. I think I have everything back to normal, but I want to get everything stable before testing the cert install.
My question is, when visiting cpanel.domain.com, to enter the cpanel for that account, I am able to login with both userA and userB credentials, and the same when logging in to cpanel.secure.domain.com. As stated, I have separate WHM accounts for the main domain and the secure subdomain, I have dedicated an IP address for the secure subdomain, and the main domain uses the share IP address, and also, there are separate DNS zones setup for the secure subdomain and the main domain.
How do I set it up so that only userA can login to cpanel.domain.com and only userB can login to cpanel.secure.domain.com? Or is this not an ideal setup, and if not, what would be the ideal setup here?
I am really getting confused now. Some people tell me it is possible to set up a simple subdomain and add a SSL-certificate to this, while others tell me I have to set up a new account for the subdomain (subdomain.domain.com) in WHM and assign it to it's own IP-adress.
So, my queston is what is the best way to set up a secure subdomain, like [url]? I have already purchased a SSL-certificate for secure.domain.com.
