May 17, 2007Is there any windows software which will allow me to login to my Virtuozzo Power Panel instead of the web interface? I know that one exists for hypervm.

But SwSoft Virtuozzo gives me this error on w2k3 Ent. 64Bit. What to do?

Nov 7, 2008Has the VZ bug where "doing a Windows Update on a node applies it to the whole server and then reboots the node" been fixed yet. We offer Linux VPS using VZ and was going to use it for Windows too but when I heard that I put the plan on hold.

Jul 27, 2007I could see having problems with these vps's..if I was really doing something I am not suppose to. This is not the case.
I am currently having problems with two out of four vps's at the moment..and..I am appalled.
Take VPS #3. All I tried to do was install SQL Express and it's management component so I can slap smartersuite on there.
SQL errors..dot.net errors..this is a joke, right?
My 32bit VPS is completely unreachable due to the very same thing..all I did was put SQL express on it..didn't even get to the management part.
Of course I assigned a root password. Still...is this par the course? Are databases something these vps's can't handle?
I'd really like to know now..before I waste anymore time with this.
I certainly had none of this two years ago with my vmware winodws vps's. Anybody still offer those?
Windows Virtuozzo VPS's
Jul 13, 2007As many of you are aware..I have two of these from 1and1..and are quite enjoying them..and may even add a third to the fleet today.
Aside from no update thing..many of you have had misadventures with these I would care not to have. Are there limitations to what you can install? I remember putting Oracle on one before..and that worked fine (surprised me) and I have put Tomcat on a linux vps before..worked fine...even after I started seriously using it (which is sometimes when fun really starts) and it was still fine.
I am more intersted in using these to test CGI scripts..learn ASP and .NET..and whatnot. I guess my primary question is this:
Can these be used to test applications before trying them on a real server? How close to the real thing are these vps's?
If experience is useful..it would say pretty darn close to the real thing. I do need a Vmware based one, though.
What To Do For Windows/Plesk If Provider Only Provides Rack/bw/power

- Found great price for a full-cab in California
- They only provide power/cabinet and network drop
Now, I need Windows and Plesk licenses. I know Plesk doesn't allow resellers/external licenses. I am still waiting for a response from the message I left at their voicemail TWO WEEKS ago.
Now most importantly, is there any options I have for windows licenss? another option besides paying $800~ for them at newegg?

It seems that a higher ratio of VPS per box can be achieved with virtuozzo due to the ability to share RAM but is this worth it for the extra cost of licenses and possible security / stability risks?

Plesk 11.x / Windows :: Panel 11.5 - How To Enable AWStats
Mar 26, 2014how to enable AWStats for the domains on my server. In our old Panel (v9.5), I could go Domains > DOMAIN.TLD > Web Hosting Settings, and on that page there was an option to choose between Webalizer/AWStats/None. In version 11.5, I don't see that option.
When I look on the actual Windows server, I do see an AWStats directory along with a Webalizer directory in "C:Program Files (x86)ParallelsPleskAdditional", so I think it's installed...? AWStats comes along as part of the Plesk Panel license, right?
I can see the Webalizer stats when I browse to [URL] ...., but I'd much rather see AWStats.

May 14, 2013I have Plesk and SmarterMail running on a server.SmarterMail is setup as 'require SMTP authentication before relaying' email (I think this is standard practice).I cannot get Plesk to send any emails, such as forgotten password reminders and notifications.Plesk tries to send but gets a "550 Authentication is required for relay" error... which is expected, because I can't find anywhere in Plesk to enter the authentication details for the email account being used to send (relay) the emails.
I don't want to setup a 'whitelist' or 'bypass relay authentication' for 127.0.0.1 as I have had a spam issue with this previously.where to enter the username / password details so Plesk Panel can authenticate and send it's emails?

Mar 12, 2014From what I can tell the vhosts on my Plesk Panel keep resetting (I think around once a day), all my webstatistics (AWStats) begin to 404 and I have a Wordpress installed in the root of a domain which is now displaying the "Web Server's Default Page" (any sub-directory of the Wordpress install gives a 404 such as the wp-admin directory). The way I've fixed this temporarily is to run "%plesk_cli%
epair.exe" --update-vhosts-structure. I do not see any errors or warnings in the event viewer or log files.
On another note is there a way to increase the logging for event viewer to include more than just errors (such as informational) to make it easier to track down issues?

Ive tried to make the certificate server default, changed the one in ip section to the wildcard one, and made the woldcard one default, nothing changed..
