We are using Putty SSH clients it's great but we are looking for SSH client which can store passwords. So we don't have to enter password each time we login to the server using SSH client.

The previous person never used the site so he forgot the password to get into cpanel and ftp. I can login to the site using my WHM password, but I cannot change his password in cpanel because I don't know the old one. How can reset it?

Been running a server for 2 years now on Windows SBS 2003, and within the past 2 weeks, the server has been locking up or going very sluggish after only a few hours of use.
I've noticed that STORE.EXE is using a lot of memory, there are a number of people within the building using this server for various tasks with Microbiz, Quickbooks, and Exchange server. I researched the topic and was told if I can archive Exchange, that this should help with performance. Anyone know how to do this or to lower the use of memory with the server?

I've got a quite difficult problem which I don't know hoe to solve. We use a self created ISAPI module which is a "business server" running behind an Apache.
From time to time a client app crashes the server (the circumstances are not quite clear) - and because there is only one server process, all other clients crash as well. Here is an exemplary log of a crash:

Exception code: 0xc00000fd means stack overflow as I learnt. Therefore we configured mpm_winnt_module to use a 8M ThreadStackSize but this didn't work.
A solution might be that Apache starts for every client its own server process with the module ABCServer.dll. Because it is quite small and there are not thousands of customers this sounds like the perfect solution. No other clients/customers would be affected by a crash.
Unfortunately mpm_winnt_module supports only 1 process AFAIK. Worker and Prefork MPM are not available in Apache's Windows version what I read.
How can we configure Apache to start a new module process per client?
i would like to move few clients from my old linux VPS that runs on Cpanel .. to my new windows VPS tat runs Plesk .. you see there were several attempts by new provider .. they cant guarantee that accounts can be fully migrated even manually they only copied site files to new server .. the client account's still running on linux vps cpanel, they are intact .. clients dont have any php or mysql files they are just plain HTML and Flash files .. i can move site files .. im concerned about mail accounts and emails that already in my clients inbox (they are using IMAP accounts) .. do you guys know any guideline or step by step how to migrate my clients
P.S. please consider me as an uneducated person .. my background is designing not programming or network administration.

I'd like to ask for opinion what is the best way to backup a client PC in Windows XP/Vista platform.
For example, each PC has a folder inside c:Server
Every 17:00 hours, the PC will FTP all data inside c:Server to backup server.
When it is done, the manager is able to access to his files & do his work remotely online via the server at night in his home. Another reason to have this backup is because they want to secure all the files from any viruses or any accidents in the office during non office hours as the files is important to them. The next morning, he is able to continue his work as normal when files are being merged.
Any kind of such solution available?

I have a problem with one of my Plesk Panels for windows (v. 11.5.30 Update #47). One of the clients is getting "Redirect loop" error when tries to login to his panel. The funny thing is that this is only happening to one account. I've tried to change subsriber for his subscription, but there was no result, since the same thing happend when I tried to login with the new subscriber's login.

I'm on plesk 12.0.18 Update #53 and have run the plesk reconfigurator to check for permissions issues.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a server setup and running shared hosting perfectly. I duplicated one of the plans and just set it to DEDICATED IP. This is for users that will be requiring SSL.
I then went into my panel settings and added in all the additional ip's. It even says in the panel listing "6 dedicated ip's available".
Yet, when I try to re-run the task for provisioning it constantly fails with the message:
Unable to create hosting. Ip address does not exist in client's pool ....

If I go into the Backup Manager, then click the "Personal FTP Repository", then click "Personal FTP Repository Settings", at the bottom it asks for a password and says how important it is to use a password.
So, I specify a password, then successfully do a backup to a remote FTP site.
But when I examine the backup.zip file at the remote FTP site, it a plain ZIP file that you can open without any password!!!
How is this secure, what's the point of asking us to specify a password when it's not used to password lock the backed up ZIP file?
today i changed the password for the admin panel for a customer (username eg. mylogin). 10 minutes later he called me and said that he cannot get into his emailaccount anymore. Checked the password and saw that the emailpassword for his emailaddress (eg. mylogin@mydomain.com) is now the same from the admin panel login. So i changed the emailpassword and checked the admin panel login - it now has the emailpassword. What a mess.. I'm running Plesk Panel 11.5.30 MU47.
