Plesk 11.x / Linux :: Spamassassin For Relay Mails?
Oct 1, 2013We are using Plesk 11.5 with postfix MTA. Spamassassin is working fine for incoming mails and leaves outbound mails unchecked - as it should.
Now there is one of my domains whose mails are relayed to another server (using postfix transport tab; mail support for this domain is disabled in plesk). For the moment, these mails arrive without beeing checked and marked by spamassassin. How could I change this? I have tried to register an additional mail-handler like

but this didn't have any effect so far.
If there is a direct way to enable spam-control for relay domains, Otherwise I could still access spamassassin via postfix' config-files, but how to use two different implementation of spamassassin at the same time.
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Postfix Sending Spam Even If Relay Is Closed
Mar 13, 2015My postfix is sending huge amounts of e-mail that I was forced to stop postfix.
Even if I set relaying to closed, disable message submission and disable sendmail spam is still being send..
Outgoing mail control reports nothing at all, and if I check my server with online tools to be sure it is not relaying everything is reported fine.
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: External SMTP Relay Not Sending Email From Panel
Apr 8, 2015I have Plesk 12 on CentOS 7. I have only MSMTP installed not Postfix or Qmail. No matter what settings I use in the external SMTP settings the mail is never sent and I cannot find any error logs.
I have tried gmail smtp, sendgrid smtp and another smtp server that I own.
This is not a firewall issue as far as I can tell since if I install postfix it just works. Also any Wordpress or Joomla installs that use SMTP settings with gmail or sendgrid work just fine.

Quick update. I tried the recommended CentOS 7 with the same result. Can installing Plesk 12 without a mail server and using the msmtp relay option actually works?Click to expand...
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Postfix Relay - Connection Time Out On Forwarded Mail
Dec 1, 2014My hosting provider recently (and without any warning) decided to block outgoing connections to port 25. What this means is for any client/domain/email address that has a forwarder setup, the mail will never reach its destination because the connection to the other server always times out. The error logs look like this:

I haven't been able to find a way to force relay to 465. Or maybe I shouldn't have relay on at all and do this another way?
Plesk 11.x / Linux :: FileShare Email Links Not Working With MSMTP Relay Only Mailserver
Jun 20, 2014We were using the mailserver on our linux install, but have since changed over to an ms exchange server. With that I removed the mailserver and installed MSMTP relay only mailserver (SMTP client) option.
I configured the External SMTP Server settings under Tools & Settings / Mail with a valid email address password host name and port of 587. When I save it says settings saved.
Since doing this I have been unable to use the email link option for share files in the file share portion of my domain. When I try to select a user from the list to send the email to or even type an external email all I get is the error "Unable to send email".
When I checked the maillog file in /usr/local/psa/var/log, I get this error "Jun 20 15:42:59 u16271698 msmtp: host=smtp.1and1.com tls=off auth=on user=to@email.ca from=psaadm recipients=to@email.ca errormsg='cannot use a secure authentication method' exitcode=EX_UNAVAILABLE"
Where I have proper emails configured where I placed "to@email.ca"
How can I get this working with the MSMTP relay only mailserver (SMTP client) option installed?

Jul 10, 2015After setting up a new server on Plesk12, I successfully ran some test mail outs using phpmailer using the SMTP server on this machine
However, there was an issue in creating new local mail accounts in plesk with an error message each time.
Investigating this issue led me to a solution that I should run mail_restore from the Plesk scripts
This cured the problem of setting up new local accounts but outgoing SMTP mail is always failing with 'relay access denied'.
I Want To Stream A Wedding Online..
May 25, 2008There are relatives on other continents who won't be able to attend, so we're trying to figure out the best way that they'd be able to watch.
Don't want to stream directly since there might be up to 10 people watching, and don't want to have any lag.
Any suggestions on the best route to go? Maybe there is a service and I'm just not looking in the right spot.
I think I want a quality server to host a cam stream for a few hours in early June. Or should I be looking for something else?
Stream Hosting From Server
Jul 15, 2008on april 19th, we started a new internet radio station and now 3 months later, we're using up over 250GB of monthly bandwidth and have quite some listeners throughout the day. Therefore we want to have more security for our listeners that our stream stays online. I currently just use WinAMP to broadcast to my shoutcast server and CentovaCast takes care of the rest, but if I don't stream, listeners don't hear music and that's becoming a bigger problem everyday.
So I wondered. Can I buy a Windows dedicated server or VPS, install WinAmp on that machine and use a remote desktop to control and configure our stream, like I now do on my local PC? And does anybody has any experience with that?

Stream Buffering With Dedicated Bandwdith
Apr 23, 2009We have few dedicated bandwidth servers with a well reputed company. However 10-15% of our customers are complaining about video buffering (windows media live streaming, not recorded). I have asked for their speed test results (To nearest city) and they all seems well above 4Mbps and our videos are at 500kbps max.
We have enabled features like fast cache, fast buffer, and wireless corrections from Windows media Services 2003. However, nothing seems to fix the issue.
1. Do you guys have similar experience with streaming? If so what have you done to fix it? Is there any special settings in Windows media Services 2003 that i should be worried about?

550 Relay Not Permitted
Jan 30, 2006we are getting a number of:
does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 relay not permitted
checked for IP stauts and it is not flagged or listed as banned, there would be no reason however I double checked and there were no issues there.
Can someone suggest if this is a server issue?

I am using WHM 11.11.0 cPanel 11.15.0
So what are Email Relayers?
How can I get my mails out of there so they can be send?

Mar 31, 2008I have found a bunch of articles to setup Sendmail as a mail relay, but none have been successful for me or the articles are very outdated. Anyone have a 'stupid-proof' set of current instructions on how setup Sendmail Pop before SMTP? This is a CentOS 4.5 Box with Sendmail 8.14.2/8.13.1 and Dovecot. Any successful guidance would be appreciated!

Jun 9, 2009Occasionally when sending an email to an international address, I receive a rejected notice:
550 5.7.1 Relaying denied. IP name forged (PTR and A records mismatch) for (serverIP)
Nothing was changed anytime recently so I'm not sure why this would happen. How would I trace this type of error? Its a legitimate outgoing mail from my server to the intl recipient.
SPF has been set since day one and unchanged.
The mail server IP has rdns set to it and has been for a long time.
Open Relay
May 23, 2008i have to get rid of an open relay state on my server, and i cant do it! i have antirelayd on my WHM but it seems its not working, any idea? please or at least wich line in /scripts/antirelayd i have to check to see if its everything ok.

So basically it due to the MX change, it looks like it sees any incoming email (addressed to local domain) as relaying.
