This is a fresh plesk12 installation on a kvm vps on centos 6.6
We used the migration and transfer tool to copy data from another server. After the full migration without changing any setting from the configuration files, any mail account hosted on this server cannot receive emails.
Mail isn't leaving the queue, it's returning this error
Feb 12 23:12:01 XXXX postfix-local[64360]: System error .qmail: Permission denied Feb 12 23:12:01 XXXX postfix-local[64360]: Wrong permissions for .qmail
All the files within /var/qmail/ are set to the user and group "popuser", and have the nessacery rwx permissions for the user/group.
Not sure what is going on with Plesk.. I've modified and saved a specific service plan with the session.save_path to have a location by default to be /tmp/ and for some reason it isn't changing all customers accounts with the modified settings of the location to be /tmp/. In order to resolve the issue, I'd have to manually change the "default" option on each websites php settings session.save_path to /tmp/ instead of Plesk syncing the correct settings based on the modification. Because of so, I am receiving the following error below on a customers website below:
Warning: Unknown: open(/var/lib/php/session/sess_f9bffgv0ddrjo9geb6frhut5d7, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/var/lib/php/session) in Unknown on line 0
After making changes, I've tried the following in command line:
service php-fpm restart service httpd restart service psa restart
Recently we had to rollback the Plesk database and Plesk version files to their pre-upgrade state, and rerun the upgrade procedure as it is described in the knowledge base [URL] ..... The update process then worked smoothly and we are now using the newest version 12.0.18 on CentOS 6 with the newest microupdates 1200150615.10.
But right after this update procedure we are not able to access some domains with the filemanager anymore. The browser shows the following error message:
Internal error: filemng: opendir failed: Permission denied System error 13: Permission denied Message filemng: opendir failed: Permission denied System error 13: Permission denied File Agent.php Line 243 Type PleskUtilExceptio
The logfile: /usr/local/psa/admin/logs/panel.log is a bit more detailed
[URL] ....
What I did so far was the following:
1.) I checked out the knowledge base, specifically this entry was worth looking at. But /usr/local/psa/bin/repair --restore-vhosts-permissions didn't solve the problem. 2.) I found a similar problem in the discussion board but the approaches they took weren't successful in my case.
Due to the fact that the file manager worked before the rollback of the database and the major upgrade, I think there might be a connection.
From my point of view the permission settings should be right. Other domains using exactly the same permissions and they are working fine.

Since the plesk installation by my hoster did not include a mail server, I installed postfix and dovecot from the upgrades menu, followed the steps at [URL] .... and ran mchk to add the mail settings option to my domain. However, when I click on it, I receive the error "Warning: Permission denied." and stay on the domain overview. There is no error logged in var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log, /var/log/sw-cp-server/sw-engine.log or /usr/local/psa/admin/logs/panel.log.
I also tried "plesk bin mail --create foo@my.tld -mbox_quota 1M", but then I receive the error
Code: ERR [util_exec] proc_close() failed mailmng-outgoing failed: ERROR:outgoing:mails.domain_id may not be NULL
We have a little issue with the API, when we want to add an subscription, then we became "Error: Permission denied. (1006)" - but the subscription was added. The status Icon of the Subscription is a "!" and they say (tooltip), that the Plan wasn't correctly synchronized, but we don't use a Plan for this. The Reseller has all rights, there are now limits.
I don't know when we had this problem the first time, but i know that if had worked in Plesk 12 correctly - i think the problem came up with the last 4 - 6 MU.
We actually have Plesk 12.0.18 Update #16 and running it on Debian 6.0.9.
PHP-FPM support for nginx will not start when attempted in Tools & Settings > Services Management
Check error log:
#tail /var/log/php-fpm/error.log
ERROR: unable to bind listening socket for address '/var/www/vhosts/system/domain.tld/php-fpm.sock': Permission denied (13)
Possible problem:
SELinux may be preventing it. To test this do:
#setenforce 0
Now try and start PHP-FPM support again in Tools & Settings > Services Management
If that now starts you know what the problem is. Go to "Fix" below If it didnt work, you have a different issue. Turn SELinux back on while you figure it out:
#setenforce 1
Fix:
The following worked for me but i know very little about SELinux - corrections welcome:
## Turn SELinux to permissive # setenforce 0 ## In Plesk panel start PHP-FPM support in Tools & Settings > Services Management
I made a copy of my forum's root folder using SSH command: cp -r forum forum123
Then I tried to update the new (forum123) folder with the latest files from vBulletin.
And it gave me a permission denied error. For test purpose, I went to the original folder and uploaded one of the new files there and it worked flawlessly.
Why am I not able to upload files to the copied folder? I've been doing this since like for ever, this is the first time I've encountered such an error.
Using Plesk 12.0.18 and CentOS 6.6, I installed PHP 5.6 through the Plesk Updates menu. After that, the new version was not automatically selectable inside Plesk Panel. I added it using php_handler.However, when selecting PHP 5.6 for a website, I only get a 500 server error.
Trying to troubleshoot, I ran "/opt/plesk/php/5.6/bin/php-cgi -v", which also resulted in an error:Fatal Error Unable to allocate shared memory segment of 67108864 bytes: mmap: Cannot allocate memory (12)The same kind of error is logged in the error_log for the website I switched to 5.6.
The error also occurs when calling "php-cgi -v" directly in the command line. The same error occured when I tried the same thing with PHP 5.5.
I trying to migrate a domain from cpanel 11.42 to my new plesk 12 vps.
When i do this i got a error:
PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getElementsByTagName() on a non-object in /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/backup/Conflicts/Detector.php on line 536
The domain has 3 sub domains, 1 parked domain and several mailboxes.
For one of may domains I'm receiving the following error when someone tries to send mail to it. Also I never receive the mail as it seems to just sit on the server. When the permission were changed on the file, it seemed to have changed back on its on when ever a new address is added. Any solutions?
so after successfully installing and testing litespeed last night along on alternate port 1080 on my cpanel setup, I try to look at my cpanel's awstats this morning and:
Error: Couldn't open server log file "/usr/local/apache/domlogs/example.net" : Permission denied
(awstats has worked fine for 5 weeks now)
Googling for this shows other people with similar problem in the past but unfortunately no answers
I tried chmod -R 644 /usr/local/apache/domlogs and looks like the owners are still correct
I'm at a loss and really screwed if I can't easily fix soon... any ideas?
(as a side note, litespeed has stopped working properly too but I've killed it for now)
I run few export procedures which take a long time ot process (lots of joined sql) and generate quite large output. Plesk 11.0.x required some php/fcgif adjustments but I got it to work.
Now I switched ot Plesk 12 and have to set it up again.
I started with Plesk / PHP Settings for this domain:
Some of my websites show the following error when trying to use _any_ of the Plesk-supplied PHP packages instead of the default PHP CentOS/atomic package:
Code: Unknown: open(/var/lib/php/session/sess_xxxxxxxxxxxx, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in Unknown on line 0 This is a fresh install of Plesk 12 MU55 on CentOS 6.6. Same thing happens with Plesk 12.5 Preview on CentOS 7.1
...as soon as I select any of the Plesk-supplied packages (PHP 5.4 - 5.6) with FastCGI, the error appears.
I got and apt-get dependencies error while installing Postfix. At the end the log told me, to ask for free support - thats what I am trying to get here.
I have tried installing Parallels Premium Outbound AntiVirus, but uninstalled it again. The postfix mail server was working before uninstalling. Now I get the following errors:
Code:
Milter reject: 4.7.1 Service unavailable - try again later; Jul 9 22:17:02 sl1 postfix/cleanup[9308]: warning: connect to Milter service unix:/ctmilter/ctmilter.sock: No such file or directory
This means no mail goes in or out of the system.
When viewing Plesk pannel, everything seems alright.
Mar 31 14:56:52 hosting plesk sendmail[1177]: _mh_fork(): Error occured during waiting the child process with pid: 1178: No child processes Mar 31 14:56:52 hosting plesk sendmail[1177]: Error during 'check-quota' handler Mar 31 14:56:52 hosting plesk sendmail[1177]: Unable to get sender domain by sender mailname
I run a virtual server (Ubuntu 12.04, Plesk 12, Postfix 2.9.6) using plesk to manage multiple domains. The server address is server.domain1.com. I use plesk to also manage domain1.com regarding all services, including DNS and mail.
What I just found is that postfix sometimes issues the following warning:
server postfix/trivial-rewrite[7397]: warning: do not list domain server.domain1.com in BOTH mydestination and virtual_alias_domains
The essential part of my main.cf is: myhostname = server.domain1.com mydestination = localhost.$mydomain, localhost.localdomain, localhost virtual_mailbox_domains = $virtual_mailbox_maps, hash:/var/spool/postfix/plesk/virtual_domains virtual_alias_maps = $virtual_maps, hash:/var/spool/postfix/plesk/virtual virtual_mailbox_maps = , hash:/var/spool/postfix/plesk/vmailbox virtual_transport = plesk_virtual
And /var/spool/postfix/plesk/virtual_domains contains amongst others:
domain1.com domain1.com/
I do not have any issues with receiving or sending e-mails right now, but would like to get rid of the error message however.
Could it be the problem that postfix automatically sets mydomain to $myhostname with skipping the first part (i.e., mydomain is implicitly set to domain1.com)? Should I manually set mydomain to server.domain1.com instead? Any other recommendations? Since mydomain seems to be used in multiple options [URL] ..., I wonder what I might destroy with changing this? As all mail services run without any further troubles at the moment, I don't want to break this...
As I assume that quite some people use a plesk-based server to manage the domain to which the server itself belongs to, I would assume that there should be a general fix/check to updated mydomain accordingly?
I just upgraded our Plesk 10.4.4 to 12.0.18 (on Ubuntu 10.04, about to be upgraded to 12.04). Now I get the dreaded 'queue file write error' in postfix on message delivery.
It tries to open /usr/lib/plesk-9.0/postfix-queue (which is not there) in this block in master.cf:
Code:
plesk_virtual unix - n n - - pipe flags=DORhu user=popuser:popuser argv=/usr/lib/plesk-9.0/postfix-local -f ${sender} -d ${recipient} -p /var/qmail/mailnames 127.0.0.1:10025 inet n n n - - spawn user=mhandlers-user argv=/usr/lib/plesk-9.0/postfix-queue 127.0.0.1 10027 before-queue 127.0.0.1:10026 inet n - - - - smtpd -o smtpd_client_restrictions= -o smtpd_helo_restrictions= -o smtpd_sender_restrictions= -o smtpd_recipient_restrictions=permit_mynetworks,reject -o smtpd_data_restrictions= -o receive_override_options=no_unknown_recipient_checks 127.0.0.1:10027 inet n n n - - spawn user=mhandlers-user argv=/usr/lib/plesk-9.0/postfix-queue 127.0.0.1 10026 before-remote plesk_saslauthd unix y y y - 1 plesk_saslauthd status=5 listen=6 dbpath=/plesk/passwd.db
And on top of that, If disable all the milters/proxy and just try to deliver to plesk_virtual directly, the e-mail just disappears. Postfix thinks it was delivered, but it is not.
I also tried piping some text through /usr/lib/plesk-9.0/postfix-local with the same parameters postfix gives it, but also then nothing. No error, no exit code, no message in maildir.
There are a bunch of fixes around for the queue file write error, but nothing works because the nature of my problem is different. There is a KB article around for Plesk 9, which can hardly be useful.
I tried restoring postfix-queue from the backups, but if I try to use that, the mail.log eventually says:
Code:
Jan 30 01:20:00 ytechosting /usr/lib/plesk-9.0/psa-pc-remote[6621]: Message aborted.
I also used /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk to no avail: the only change it makes to my master.cf, is adding an empty line. And, I suspect it uninstalled my psa-courier, because it was gone at some point, and mchk was the only thing I did after knowing courier was still there.
How can the postfix config refer to that postfix-queue when it's not there? Is this even a valid master.cf file for Plesk 12?
I experienced an issue using an external backup repository on Plesk 12.0.18 machines using ftps. The ftp server uses ftps (explicit) connections.Plesk 11.5 works fine (and ordinary ftp client like Filezilla as well), Plesk 12 throws the following error when trying to add the server via the web interface:
Code: Curl error: Login denied Unencrypted connections will work. Plesk 11.5 machines (with the same settings) will work.
I've analyzed the problem and got so far: The backup manager tries to connect using "regular" transfer method + ssl, not ftp-ssl explicit. Is there a chance to force Plesk using explicit ftpes connections? Or is there another work around? Some additional infos about the (ftp) server: The ftp server is running ProFTP 1.3.4d, uses port 2000 for the control port and has a port range (2001 - 2100) for the passive connections.I tried to add the server using the address field of the gui IP:2000 and checkboxed "passive mode" and "ftps".
I seem to have an error with backing up to my personal FTP repository. I have only just noticed the issue, but i believe it originated when I upgraded Plesk Panel 11 to Plesk Panel 12. I am currently running version 12.0.18 on Cent OS 6.5.
Note whether i check the "Use passive mode" option makes no difference to my problem.Below is what I get from the panel.log under /usr/local/psa/admin/logs
My issue started ince a couple of months seemed to increase with update to Plesk 12.0 (though I can't guarantee it).I am using Centos 6.5, all updated. What happens is that postfix usage starts to increase without any apparent reason (during week-ends for example). Then postfix is not responding anymore.
I just installed X Window System, KDE 3, and Vncserver today... everything was done without an error. However, I noticed that I couldn't open up a new ssh session. This was after the installation was done and I needed a new shell window. Maybe something got in conflict with the installation of X or KDE?
I then logon to KDE via VNC, tried to open up Terminal, and got this error:
Code: A Fatal Error Has Occurred - Konsole
Konsole is unable to open a PTY (pseudo teletype). It is likely that this is due to an incorrect configuration of the PTY devices. Konsole needs to have read/write access to the PTY devices
What is PTY devices, and exactly how do I fix this. Where is the config file for PTY?
