Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Fatal Error Using Additional PHP Version
Jun 29, 2015
Using Plesk 12.0.18 and CentOS 6.6, I installed PHP 5.6 through the Plesk Updates menu. After that, the new version was not automatically selectable inside Plesk Panel. I added it using php_handler.However, when selecting PHP 5.6 for a website, I only get a 500 server error.
Trying to troubleshoot, I ran "/opt/plesk/php/5.6/bin/php-cgi -v", which also resulted in an error:Fatal Error Unable to allocate shared memory segment of 67108864 bytes: mmap: Cannot allocate memory (12)The same kind of error is logged in the error_log for the website I switched to 5.6.
The error also occurs when calling "php-cgi -v" directly in the command line. The same error occured when I tried the same thing with PHP 5.5.
I trying to migrate a domain from cpanel 11.42 to my new plesk 12 vps.
When i do this i got a error:
PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getElementsByTagName() on a non-object in /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/backup/Conflicts/Detector.php on line 536
The domain has 3 sub domains, 1 parked domain and several mailboxes.
This is a fresh plesk12 installation on a kvm vps on centos 6.6
We used the migration and transfer tool to copy data from another server. After the full migration without changing any setting from the configuration files, any mail account hosted on this server cannot receive emails.
I run few export procedures which take a long time ot process (lots of joined sql) and generate quite large output. Plesk 11.0.x required some php/fcgif adjustments but I got it to work.
Now I switched ot Plesk 12 and have to set it up again.
I started with Plesk / PHP Settings for this domain:
I have received notices from several customers with this error and I checked myself. When trying to connect to a ftp hosted on my server with Plesk gives an error expired certificate, a certificate of Parallels. The solution I've found is to configure access without TLS but says it is unsafe and customers are not satisfied.
I'm trying to add multiple PHP version (current version installed: 5.5.13), using the official documentation. I always get 500 Internal Server Error after switching to the new version, with the following error_log content:
Code: [Sat Jun 07 00:49:35 2014] [warn] [client XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server [Sat Jun 07 00:49:35 2014] [error] [client XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] Premature end of script headers: index.php Here you can view phpinfo() obtained running php54-cgi index.php from the command line. Same script doesn't work as FastCGI.
I'm trying to add PHP 5.4.29. Here is how I compiled it:
Switching back to PHP 5.5.13 and the script works fine (a simple phpinfo() output). How can I try to understand/debug what's wrong with the installation?
I just installed X Window System, KDE 3, and Vncserver today... everything was done without an error. However, I noticed that I couldn't open up a new ssh session. This was after the installation was done and I needed a new shell window. Maybe something got in conflict with the installation of X or KDE?
I then logon to KDE via VNC, tried to open up Terminal, and got this error:
Code: A Fatal Error Has Occurred - Konsole
Konsole is unable to open a PTY (pseudo teletype). It is likely that this is due to an incorrect configuration of the PTY devices. Konsole needs to have read/write access to the PTY devices
What is PTY devices, and exactly how do I fix this. Where is the config file for PTY?
recently i created a domain subscription with 3 alias domains. Thanafter i created a sub domain to a folder in the main domain. At first all went fine but after deleting the alias domains subdomains ans domain supscrption to register all the 4 domains each seperately a problem accured and i cant add any subdomain to none of the 4 domains. registering the domains themselves as individual domain works for each one perfect. But as soon as i try to add a subdomain on any of that 4 domains i get an error that the dns data could not be updated. As it looks like there is still some codes in the plesk database that links to 4 domains in any kind together and prevents me to creste a subdomain.
How can i manually remove all the domains subdomains and alias domain garbage from the plesk database. I use windows version of plesk panel 11.0.9 on windows 2008 server datacenter edition. I have good skils in IT but im not familiar with mysql and plesk. how to remove the records from plesk Mysql database. Command line commands internal commands locations that have to be altered and all other needed steps.
I want to add a new port for SMTP (1024) as a client's ISP block 25, 587 and 2525. I tried following this guide: [URL] ... but it doesn't work with Parallels Plesk Panel 11.5 ...
How to add an additional SMTP port to Qmail in Plesk 11.5?
For some application-testing I installed PHP 5.5 and PHP 5.6 alongside the existing PHP 5.3 installation. To do that I used the web-interface of the Plesk-installer.
Installing the software went well, or at least didn't show any errors.
After installing I went back to the login-page to get back into the portal, but that didn't work.
I am using the right username and password and don't see any errors, I just keep getting the login-screen and no errors. Logging in through SSH is working as it should. Only access to Plesk on 8443 seems to be denied.
Server reboot didn't work, restarting Plesk-services didn't work...
How can I restore this so I can get back to work?
This Plesk-installation is on a CentOS 6 server on which I have full rights.
URL....I trying to solve the problem fixing the psa.Parameters table, however i cannot find the relation between id on Parameters table and domains table.
i'm running the latest version of Plesk 11 on a Ubuntu 12.04 system.
We have a customer with a domain and this customer added other domains to his account.
now, 2 domains are not working, he created the as usual, Plesk created the directories under /vhosts/domain.com/domain1.com and the vhosts.conf are also correct.
when i'm opening the domain in the browser, i get the following error message:
The requested URL /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/index.php was not found on this server.
Is there any way to give a reseller or customer access to the php custom settings box labeled "Additional configuration directives" on the website & domains -> php settings button that an admin can see and alter? We have attempted to give resellers the "Common PHP settings management" and "Setup of potentially insecure web scripting options that override provider's policy" options, but it still does not show up to a reseller.
I upgraded my PHP to 5.2.4 ang changed server API from Apache to CGI, and now a site doesnt load anymore...
It gives this error message: Fatal error: Internal Optimizer error: can't translate opcode 60 (JMP_NO_CTOR), please contact Zend support in /home/vrock/public_html/rwf/rwengine.lib on line 0

I have installed a version of php (v5.4). My Web run correctly before and now not. My web is Joomla 2.5. I recived this error:Fatal error: Class 'JConfig' not found in /var/www/vhosts/*********/httpdocs/includes/framework.php on line 56.
Are that possible to have 2 version on my server?I upgrade from 5.3 to 5.4 yesterday but 2 site is down after upgrade of php.And i need 5.4 for 1 site and 5.3 for this other.
I've tried a few times to update php on my server from version 5.3 to the latest 5.5 however it keeps conflicting with apache2 that's installed and I ended up having to re-install everything as I accidentally deleted Plesk attempting to fix it.
Ideally I'd rather just run nginx with php-fpm without apache but it's not as straightforward anymore with plesk and how to go about updating PHP?
I've got a clean install of Parallels Plesk v12.0.18_build1200140606.15 running on Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS.
I tryed install multiple-php version in my Plesk 12 on CentOS 6.5 using Plesk KB but it doesn't work very well so I installed php-panda and it works fine but I want uninstall the php 5.4.31 version that fail but leaving the no-atomic old version. How can I do that? I know that is installed in other directory.
I'm still using Plesk 11.5.30 and MySql 5.5.39. That was discribed here how to update. But i need to have a MySql 5.6.5 (minimum) for some software (This version is over 2 years old). I'm using CentOs 6.5. and PHP 5.4.33
I installed Nginx and PHP-FPM through the Plesk Autoinstaller. It works well with the default PHP version installed originally with the CentOS 6 system (5.3.3). I also installed manually following your KB [URL] .... additional versions of PHP. It works well, and I can use those additional versions through the Plesk UI.
Therefore, I was wondering how to use them with PHP-FPM? As when I activate a domain for Nginx with PHP process (PHP-FPM), it switches the PHP version to 5.3.3 and I can't change this parameter.
I have new Linux server with CentOS 6.6 on it. I have tried to install Plesk version 12.0.18 on it.
During installation process from http://autoinstall.plesk.com/plesk-installer shell script I'm getting error: START Bootstrapper 12.0.18 prep-install for BASE AT Fri Dec 5 19:09:44 CST 2014 ***** problem report ***** ERROR while trying to SMB database not created Check the error reason(see log file: /var/log/plesk/install/plesk_12.0.18_installation.log), fix and try again STOP Bootstrapper 12.0.18 prep-install for BASE AT Fri Dec 5 19:10:01 CST 2014: PROBLEMS FOUND START Bootstrapper 12.0.18 prep-install for BASE AT Fri Dec 5 19:15:46 CST 2014

When I click upgrade now at the plesk panel I get following error:
Parallels Panel pre-upgrade check... WARNING: The proftpd FTP service will fail to start in case the support for IPv6 is disabled on the server. Please check [URL] .... for details.
Is it safe to proceed? I guess it shall be automatically?
I'm new to Plesk - I've inherited a web site for a local social club so have just been handed login and password. I believe I have version 11.0.9 and as I can see mention of an Apache webserver I'm guessing its linux.
So - I want to redesign and use Joomla so I can share the content updating with others.
I can't install Joomla as I have PHP 5.1 and need 5.3. I have no 'server' or any sort of option I can find (and I've looked everywhere!) to find a command line or somewhere I can run things.
When I try to allow SSH access the option says Forbidden and there is no option to change it.
