Jun 17, 2014today i changed the password for the admin panel for a customer (username eg. mylogin). 10 minutes later he called me and said that he cannot get into his emailaccount anymore. Checked the password and saw that the emailpassword for his emailaddress (eg. mylogin@mydomain.com) is now the same from the admin panel login. So i changed the emailpassword and checked the admin panel login - it now has the emailpassword. What a mess.. I'm running Plesk Panel 11.5.30 MU47.

Oct 29, 2014from some time, the plesk password is no more stored in chrome.I mean that even I delete all passwords/history etc chrome don't ask to save password...so something changed in the login page I suppose.from same time every time I connect to any plesk panel. Chrome say that it's not safe and I have to click "advanced" to continue, even it's a new installation make some minute before.

May 14, 2015I've had a problem to get a connection to my websites via https. My Plesk is version 12.0.18 an it runs on ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I have installed the certificate in that way: URL.... The SSL in that repository is activated in the hosting settings. I've activated and deactivated them a several times. The nginx.conf and the httpd.conf seems to be all fine.
SSL Engine is on an certificate statements links to the certificates in /opt/psa/var/certificates/The access_ssl_log an proxy_access_ssl_log had no entries, but /var/log/nginx/error.log said:

Mar 19, 2015After auto-updates I cannot connect to all my sites in ftp with filezilla.
These are the errors:
Unable to accept TLS connection: received EOF that violates protocol
I have tried this: [URL] .... but with no success.
I have restored permissions with:
/usr/local/psa/bin/repair --restore-vhosts-permissions but also in this case it cannot work for me.
How is it possible?
Firewall is ok. All is ok. I have this issue after updates.

Jun 21, 2015I am seeing some some some strange behaviour when password protecting directories served by nginx and PHP-FPM. If I have a site set up so that 'Process PHP by nginx' is selected under ('Websites & Domains>Web Server Settings>nginx settings') and set up password protection ('Websites & Domains>Password-Protected Directories') PHP pages are still served without asking for a password.
If I untick 'Process PHP by nginx' the behaviour returns to normal and an attempt to any access files results in the password request.Is this behaviour by design? If so, it is not made clear when you set up the password protection that it will not apply to PHP pages if you have nginx process the PHP pages.

For some reason my user has lost his password and is not able to use the Wordpress forgot password - wizard form at the page where you normally logged on.
I have tried to reset the password via Change Account on the WordPress Installation and it came back with the message
Error: Unable to find the specified administrator account in WordPress. Specify the username of your administrator's account in WordPress. This account will be associated with Plesk.
I have tried to add another admin via MySQL with this [URL] ... and that didn't work either.

All current websites on the server seem to work fine any new subscriptions we cannot get working at all.
We can connect via FTP to new sites SOMETIMES - just cant get directory listing. When we can connect and get into a directory it slows down.
In Active mode:

Install Wordpress via the Parallels panel it loads and says it is all there, just can't log or display any pages. The default Parallels page is displayed.
Upload a html page via the File Manager in Parallels and it displays the default Parallels page.
Unpack the Wordpress tar file via File Manager and it displays the default Parallels page.
The Wordpress feature in Parallels says it is working fine, can't display any page, can't log in as it returns a 404 page or the default Parallels page.
Create a site in Presence builder and Parallels says there is a site. The default Parallels page is displayed when opening the site.
Go to DOMAINS and there is 0mb in space used and there are files listed in the File Manager - none of which can be displayed.

When i try to edit user roles, i can check/uncheck capabilities, but nothing on user password change.

Feb 17, 2015I'm using plesk with CentOS 6.6 and the postfix/courier mail services...I tried to connect an existing mail account with a mail program like thunderbird. But I'm not able to connect to it, except when I'm using "no connection security"...So I tried, if manually contacting the POP3s Port is working:

Jan 12, 2015I have set the values for outgoing mail control low enough to catch the problems without affecting all but one of my clients. I have given him increased limits on certain of his mailboxes.
However when he wants to modify the mailbox, for example change the password he gets the following error.
The maximum number of outgoing email messages (in a pink box)
"The value must be in the range 0..50. Only the Plesk administrator can adjust this setting."
He cannot change the password for this mailbox.
Is there anyway of setting a custom limit on an account and also allow the client to retain the ability to reset his own password.

Dec 4, 2014We use CentOS Linux 7.0.1406 (Core) with Plesk Version 12.0.18 Update #27.
We have the following problem:
When a user clicks on a database in his account and tries to login with phpmyadmin, Plesk prompts for a Password of that specific user. The message is (in german):

Enter the password to log in as the database user xxxxxx
When i enter the correct password a new phpmyadmin window opens and the user can use his database. A few days ago you didnt have to enter a password at all. When you were logged into Plesk as a user, you could just click "Databases -> Webadmin" and phpmyadmin opened up without Plesk asking for a password.
The question for the password is NOT coming from phpmyadmin. Its from Plesk itself. After i enter the correct password plesk hands the request over to PMA.
For debugging i created a new database for a user and i could enter its database without any problem. No password was required. But the existing old databases now all require a password. So obviously Plesk is not aware of these passwords anymore. I guess they are/were stored somewhere.

Feb 2, 2015In Plesk (V. 12.0.18) there is no possibility to create mail accounts for subdomains via web interface. The KB article [URL] ..... describes this problem. The article suggests two possible ways.
I don´t want to use option 1 (create subdomain as additional domain) because a subdomain as domain wastes a domain in the license model.
Instead of that I tried the second way (command line interface). I can execute the first command without problems. When I try to execute the second command, I get the following error: "An error occured during mailname creation: Unable to set password: Domain of type subdomain selected".

Oct 15, 2014I have a client with a dedicated server running. Spec below.
The problem I am having is with incoming email. When I set up a new email account it can take about 10 attempts to log on to the incoming mail server. Once it has connected it will be ok for a short while then I will get a connection error and no emails will come through.
This is happening across all platforms, PC / MAC / iPhone and iPad.
I am a web designer with limited knowledge of the setting up of the server and was looking to set up email server within plesk.

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Wildcard SSL Certificate On Subdomain - Connection Untrusted
Dec 16, 2014I have a new Plesk 12 installation. I have configured a domain (example.com) with hosting that also requires wildcard subdomains.
To achieve this I had to create a vhost.conf file with...
ServerAlias *.example.com
This works and I can go to http://anything.example.com with no issue.
I purchased a wildcard SSL certificate for *.example.com and successfully installed it.
If I go to https://example.com it works perfectly and shows the correct certificate, however if I go to https://anything.example.com it tells me the connection is untrusted, when I view the certificate, it shows the Parallels Plesk self certified certificate and not my purchased certificate.
I created a vhost_ssl.conf with
ServerAlias *.example.com
ServerAlias *.example.com:443 #tried with and without this line
If I add an exception in the browser, then I am taken to the correct place, albeit with the incorrect certificate.
Of course I have executed httpdmng --reconfigure-domain example.com and also tried a full reboot.
In summary:
http://example.com - works
http://anything.example.com - works
https://example.com works with my certificate
https://anything.example.com has Parallels certificate but routes to correct page
