If I go into the Backup Manager, then click the "Personal FTP Repository", then click "Personal FTP Repository Settings", at the bottom it asks for a password and says how important it is to use a password.
So, I specify a password, then successfully do a backup to a remote FTP site.
But when I examine the backup.zip file at the remote FTP site, it a plain ZIP file that you can open without any password!!!
How is this secure, what's the point of asking us to specify a password when it's not used to password lock the backed up ZIP file?
I deleted my databases unconsciously in Parallels Plesk 12 for CentOS.I want to restore all data because it's more important for my activities. Is it possible to restore or others possibilities for my problem ?
I have Plesk 12 on Ubuntu. In an earlier version of Plesk I have some domains and all was fine. Now on a new server I have a problem: I cannot access to the domains via ftp. I have have user and I can connect to the server with a ftp client. But after (successful) login I did not receive any data and can not do anything.
I can not delete only a Domain and replace it with a other Domain. There is just the possibility to delete the Domain incl. the data. The Problem is i have 2 Domains that point to the same root-directory. And now i was making a new website in a other directory. And now i want to use one of this domain for my new website. But i can't change it. Also if i change the document root, the website d'ont use the new domainname - it makes like a redirection to the old domainname.
Buy the new Dedicated Server Self-Managed Dedicated Servers - Self-Managed - Intel Xeon E3-1240v2 Quad Core But i don;t have cpanel installed in my server i had now Managed VPS Server with whm panel had only 1 site [URL] .... don't have too much data i m facing server issue problem they request me to buy dedicate server i buy self manage server it cost me less but now i search on google alternative whm i find parallels but i m new here don;t know how to install and transfer it WHM tO Paralllels plesk panel
I just took a server at a hosting service where I already have several Plesk servers running. The servers I already have running are equipped with 2 conventional disks in RAID1
This new server is equipped with a 2 x 2 TB and a 128 GB SSD disk. With a setup wizard you can install Plesk which comes with licenses.
This new server has a bit different partition model where /var is mounted on the SSD and there's a /data that's mounted on the 2 TB RAID. This /data will then not be used for Plesk.
I can think of many scenarios to change this, but I don't want to find out in the near future that back-ups aren't working because I'm using a symlink somewhere (just an example). The increased speed of the SSD is of course good for the databases, so maybe it's better not to move everything to that partition.
I'm thinking of creating mount points instead of /var/www , /var/qmail and /var/lib/psa
Copy its content to /data/var/www , /data/var/qmail and /data/var/lib/psa
Then modify /etc/fstab so these will point to the appropriate folder
I think it's more robust and transparent instead of using symlinks.
And what are the folders I chose to move?
Apache didn't want to start due to a permission problem.. I think I solved it by making SELINUX permissive
grep SELINUX= /etc/selinux/config
Code: # SELINUX= can take one of these three values: #SELINUX=enforcing SELINUX=permissive
one of my servers currently died (it was a 1u System) Dual Xeon, 3GB RAM. I need the DATA off my SCSI harddrives.. i have a 2U system only, but when i try and put the SCSI harddrive into the Machine, windows crashes on the "Windows 2003 " starting screen. Windows, ugh, horrible. I need to get into windows to get my MSSQL database's backed up and then moved to a new server.
Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS Panel version 11.5.30 Update #45
The data stored in roundcube webmail (like contacts and signatures ), located in the database table "roundcubemail", is not transferred when migrating the whole server, customer or the domain that uses it. Also in the backup server, account, domain this data is not included.
I think it's a real problem if a customer with many mailboxes, who only uses roundcube, needs a backup or wants to migrate to another server. Ok, this data could be exported in rounbcube with a few mouse clicks, but it´s not very comfortable. In my opinion this should be included in the backup and also in the migration process (migration manager).
I have a new Server (CentOS Linux 7.1.1503) and will migrate the Data from my old Server (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) with the Migration Manager. Both Servers running with Plesk 12.0.18
After i entered the Server-IP and the Login-Data for the old Server i became this Error on the new Server:

I changed to a new server with plesk 12 and every php that worked with Plesk 11.5 and php 5.4 doesn't work in the new server with fstcgi and php 5.4. They run fine if I config subdomain with FastCgi php5.3 but don't with php 5.4.35. I get this error message in error_log of subdmain using this versión of php (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server. Premature end of script headers: test.php
there is no error in /var/log/httpd/suexec_log phpini seems OK.My system uses Centos 6.4 and
I've got an install of plesk 12 on a Centos 6 that i'm only using as a mailserver for my clients. I have a couple of them live so any data loss is a bit of a problem. Anyway, currently i have a 150 g SSD running but that's not going to be sufficient for my purpose of running hundreds of accounts with 3Gig of inbox space. I have connected a new HD with 2T capacity.
Which steps do I need to take to use this disk to store all data regarding to e-mails etc etc without losing data or settings? While we're at it, I also would like to increase the partition /tmp and /swap a bit. In my experience with plesk on other servers the /tmp folder is getting full when downloading backups, is that correct?

How can I fix this problem? The Script is 100% i/O because it has worked onder PHP 5.2 and its comp. whit 5.4.
I've written a script to send property data to rightmove.co.uk as part of their new automated data feed. However they require a secure connection to their systems when posting the data. They have provided me with a .pem file which is a security certificate. I need to install this on my plesk server but where to start as most certificates require a private key and the actual certificate. The private key I have been provided is only an 8 charter string, like a password.
I have an issue with running of the php-scripts. It runs via Cron (as it consumes a lot of memory), after aprox. 10 minutes after the start-time of the script the following error appears in the error-log file (path - /var/www/vhosts/system/subdomain.domain.tld/logs/error_log)
[Tue Feb 17 19:46:57.003326 2015] [fcgid:warn] [pid 28629] (104)Connection reset by peer: [client XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:48450] mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server [Tue Feb 17 19:46:57.003368 2015] [core:error] [pid 28629] [client XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:48450] End of script output before headers: Name_of_the_script.php
For a very strange reason another PHP-script, that has the same code, but just runs less arrays, and therefore consumes less memory and can be run via browser - works perfectly from both browser and the cron. The php.ini for this domain set up correctly (see the attachment)...

I'm trying to add multiple PHP version (current version installed: 5.5.13), using the official documentation. I always get 500 Internal Server Error after switching to the new version, with the following error_log content:
Code: [Sat Jun 07 00:49:35 2014] [warn] [client XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server [Sat Jun 07 00:49:35 2014] [error] [client XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX] Premature end of script headers: index.php Here you can view phpinfo() obtained running php54-cgi index.php from the command line. Same script doesn't work as FastCGI.
I'm trying to add PHP 5.4.29. Here is how I compiled it:
This is applies to both Horde and roundcube webmail client software;
Using Plesk 11.5.30 with Horde 5.1.5 or roundcube 0.9.5 on CentOS Linux release 6.5 (Final).
We have seen this behavior occur on multiple servers.
Clients experienced slow to no response after executing a search, which eventually results in a failed to communicate with the server-error in the webmail client.
The Apache server log shows script time-out errors when searching larger mailboxes (i.e. larger than 950 MB), this does not happen on smaller mailboxes.
We have seen errors like the following in the Apache server error log with Horde (personal data like IP-address and domain name are x'ed out):
[Thu Jun 19 14:55:06 2014] [warn] [client xx.xxx.xxx.xxx] mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 45 seconds, referer: http://webmail.xxxxxxx.com/imp/dynamic.php?page=mailbox [Thu Jun 19 14:55:06 2014] [error] [client xx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Premature end of script headers: ajax.php, referer: http://webmail.xxxxxxx.com/imp/dynamic.php?page=mailbox
And with Roundcube:
[Tue Jun 17 13:02:04 2014] [warn] [client xx.xxx.xxx.xxx] mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 45 seconds, referer: https://webmail.xxxxxxxxxxx.com/?_t...d=19445&_mbox=INBOX&_caps=pdf=0,flash=1,tif=0 [Tue Jun 17 13:02:04 2014] [error] [client xx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Premature end of script headers: index.php, referer: https://webmail.xxxxxxxxxxx.com/?_t...d=19445&_mbox=INBOX&_caps=pdf=0,flash=1,tif=0
Steps to reproduce:
- use a large mailbox (950 MB or higher) - login to the webmail (Horde or roundcube) - do a search in the search field on the top right - the time-out error should appear in the server Apache error log (after at least 45 seconds)
This seems like an inefficiency or bug in the search query that searches the user's mailbox. Is there any other way we can prevent this issue and the error messages?
to recover a back-up from my server which i deleted yesterday. is there any linux utility/script or whatever which can restore data?
I'm running centos 4.3 64-bit SMP
Harddisks: 6 X 18.2 GB U160 scsi disks, 15k rpm 2 disks in raid 1, on channel 0 to the raid controller (OS and software) 4 disks in raid 5, on channel 1 to the raid controller (web files, php, html, images etc. and all databases. )
Volumegroup 1 logical volume 1 = 14 GB for the OS Logical volume 2 = 4 GB for the swap file
Volume group 2 Logical volume 1 = 20 GB, mounted to /var for the databases and other var stuff Logical volume 2 = 30 GB, mounted to /home for all webfiles etc.
The backup was located on VG2, LV2 = /home , and i removed it by using the rm -rf command.
Just finished migrating server providers and our old servers are being canceled soon. Does anyone know how to delete all log data or any other cached files for security reasons? Is there a command in SSH that can wipe it clean? Without damaging anything of course.
