Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Migrated From Debian 7 To Centos X64 - All Php / Wordpress Sites 502 Error
Jan 31, 2015
For some reason I am having issues with latest Plesk with php and wordpress. HTML sites are fine, but all php and wordpress sites are giving a 502 error after fully migrating. I repaired with Webserver Configurations Troubleshooter and rebooted and its still giving me the same issue. Also, noticed my previous server had php 5.4.36, the new CentOS server has 5.4.37.
I am attempting to migrate from a debian os server with the latest plesk 12 to Centos (rather cloudlinux) and would like to know if there are any options that should not be checked during the process?
I recently tried to do the normal procedure, which is to transfer all objects, etc. And for some reason the percentage went from 1-50% to then back to zero.. but when clicking to check the current status, its still working
Status: in progress Current operation deploying domain.com current operation progress: empty bar
Different sites are transferring, but I am not sure if the migration will effect the system because the difference in OS folder structure and file location.
if I try to use the new wordpress service in the admin panel, I get following errors:
By starting a search of wordpress installations: PHP Fatal error: "Die Suche nach WordPress-Installationen wurde mit Fehlern abgeschlossen: Resource with UID 'c94fef81-1552-43e1-ae5b-ce125776caa7' not found."
One installation is found but by open the detail view I get the error "Call to undefined function is_admin() in /usr/share/plesk-wp-cli/php/wp-cli.php(18) : eval()'d code on line 87".
When I visit the Wordpress Toolkit page on one of my servers I get the following error...Internal error: Specified column "name" is not in the row
MessageSpecified column "name" is not in the row File Abstract.php Line179 TypeZend_Db_Table_Row_Exception Go To Previous Page
This server appeard to upgrade successfully, and has the relevant tools installed with no errors on apt-get.Perhaps removing and re-installing the wordpress toolkit will work?
I currently run the PMM tool, it migrates and created all the domains for me, but I have a new problem. Some clients does not have their files only at public_html, they use the root at their cpanel accounts, I notice that the PMM did not migrated the files from the root.... Is there any option to it be done?
I have over 5 WP installations on my Server and i installed all manual and had never issues.
Now i installed a again a WP Site and after i go to the Wordpress Toolkit to search for the new installation i got the following Message:
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?' in /usr/share/plesk-wp-cli/php/wp-cli.php(23) : eval()'d code on line 1 {"err_code":0,"err_message":"
With error cannot connect to DB.
So all WP installations are running fine instead of the new one.... I didn't change any configs files of PHP all is standard, the wp-config.php is correct, the Site is running fine.
From my point of view is this an issue by Plesk due to Parse error message at the files of Plesk, see error message!
System: OS Debian 7.8 Plesk Version 12.0.18 Update #43, zuletzt aktualisiert: 20. April 2015 13:17:36
I know with an older Version of Plesk 12.0.18 it was working fine too, so the bug was implemented with a MU.
I checked the file as well and find out that at all PHP files the code is not closed at the end so the "?>" is always missing.Â
We have created symlinks, modified some configuration files (Plesk included) and ran domains reconfiguration script (zero domain installed, but just in case the script will do anything else).
After that, we have launched Plesk Migration Wizard (from Plesk 9 to last release).
Everything has worked fine: all domains have been migrated on our new folders (/opt based) and owners has been correctly defined for each domain. The same for MySQL and all mail accounts.
We have checked Apache VirtualHost configured by Plesk Migration Wizard : our new folders are used (/opt).
So all seems to be ok.
But now, all websites (configured with Apache and Apache PHP module) returns 403 Forbidden error.
We have try changing to FastCGI with Apache same error.
We have try changing to full Nginx (PHP and static files), some websites run.
We have checked some KB (112884, 800) but all seems to be good.
Is there any steps we have omitted when we move folders ?
I have a Plesk 12 server running that works great. But the problem is that whenever one of my shared hosting customers changes something out a domain or subdomain, all the other sites on the server give a 502 error.
The reason why is clear to me: apache is reloading its config while nginx is still active, but sees apache as being down and therefor throws a 502 error.
Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Because it's happening a lot and people are sending in 'site down' reports while there's actually nothing wrong with the server or their site.
I migrated domains from another server and they had separate http and https folders. Now I need to make them use same httpdocs for both http/https. How do I do it for a single domain? How do I batch do it for all domains?
I had an hosting account with a copany, recently I migrated to VPS managed by plesk 11.5..I was able to get the awstats database file from the old host, and i have copied them in the /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/statistics/webstats/ folder, together with the other database files genereted by the new VPS hosting
Only problem is that plesk only rebuilds everyday the static page for the current month, and I see no way to ask him to build the pages for this past months. Also would be good if he would rebuild the header to have updated the dropdown menu from which to choose the month to dispay..Is it possible to rebuild manually these static pages?
Access_log and error_log are being rotated around 10AM daily for my server.
But for busy days access_log and error_log gets very big to inspect. Is there any way that I can manually reset the logs for the time being but without changing the daily rotation time?
Is it possible through Plesk Linux version on the root servers to update? If not and you will update the Debian itself, you have to note something? What should you back up before everything to make Plesk is working again? Is a complete reinstallation is required?
Recently Debian released point release .6 of Debian Wheezy (Debian 7). This change in version number is causing all Plesk updates and upgrades to fail, due to 404 errors:
Code: Getting new version of Parallels Installer... File downloading parallels_installer_Debian_7.6_x86_64.md5sum: ERROR: The required version '3.16.20' was not found on the server. This could happen because of configuration error at the download site. Failed to download the package [url] ....
The requested URL returned error: 404...This has been going on a couple of days. When will this be fixed?
I'm leaning towards centos but am concerned that development priority in that distro will switch over from Xen to KVM as RHEL does. Which distro would you choose for dom0 and why?
Windows setup: Plesk Panel 11.5 - Server 2012r2 - IIS 8.5 - PHP 5.3/5.4/5.5 - mySQL/MSSQL. Server runs behind firewall (NAT). Setup with local DNS pointing all A records towards public IP.
Situation: Installed Wordpress through Plesk applications. (mysql). URL....Installs themes in WP console. Everything ok. Installs theme from file, site gets an 500 error. Sometimes installation of theme goes fine, but once activated or previewed it shows 500 error.

I have a problem. I am running Plesk 11 with Windows 8. I installed wordpress and joomla. If I want to make one update from joomla 3.0 to 3.0.3 I get the error Internal Server error 500.
In Wordpress I get a error, too: By the update from 3.5 to 3.5.1 i get the error: The directory is write protect or not available.
In WordPress I instert in the wp-config.php following.
define( 'WP_TEMP_DIR', ABSPATH . 'wp-content/' );
Now, does the updates to WordPress and plugins work.
My question is, I am running not only one website with WP. How can I make the settings for all WP instances running on the server? And How can I fix it with the Joomla update?
I will be dropping my shared-hosting plan and ordering a small VPS as soon as I can decide on which operating sytem to use. It seems that most companies offer the following choices: Suse, Debian, Fedora and CentOS.
I freely admit that I am a full-fledged n00b when it comes to linux and will be learning as I go, the problem is I just don't know where to start because I'm not familiar with any of them. I have at least heard of Suse, Debian and Fedora before, but didn't even know this CentOS existed until yesterday... and yet, it seems to be one of the more popular choices.
So I was wondering if some of you seasoned VPS veterans here could recommend an OS, tell me what the differences are, or otherwise share any experience you might have with any of them.
I'm not a Debian user, so I want some advice how to install Debian 4 as guest OS on top of Centos 5.2 dom0.
Mostly on Google, there's a manual on Centos on top of Debian. I've tried to use the netinstall iso for debian and mount it on /var/www/html/debian and use it for remote install source. So far don't have any success on that.
Gazzin.com offers so many OSs on their VPS deals - CentOS, Debian, Fedora Core 3, Fedora Core 4, Gentoo, Opensuse, Suse, Unbuntu. Which one would you advise me to start from?
