Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Debian 7.6 Point Release Causes Autoinstaller To Break
Jul 18, 2014
Recently Debian released point release .6 of Debian Wheezy (Debian 7). This change in version number is causing all Plesk updates and upgrades to fail, due to 404 errors:
Code:

This could happen because of configuration error at the download site.

When I logged in today I saw this message:"Failed to update Plesk. To solve this problem, you can send the update log to Parallels support. View the update logs (Dec 5, 2014). Copy the logs to your computer before you close this message. To close this message, click here." Here is the error log - how do I fix this issue:

I have formatted my server and tried to install PLESK 11.5 (I have my license every thing). But after I start to install with current AutoInstaller there is only PLESK 12 to be chosen.
How can I install my PLESK 11.5 BACK with Current AutoInstall? Is there anyway to have an option to install 11.5 in the Installation Selection?
Trying to enable Tomcat Java Servlets using autoinstaller via ssh, but I'm receiving the following error:

Is it possible to see what e-mails are blocked/prohibited by Plesk Outgoing mail control? Currently i've set a limit of 20 mails on each mailbox. Yesterday I received an e-mail that there were messages blocked. For me personally it would be good to see what the receivers email adresses are and optionally what the content of the e-mail was. This way I can find out if it was really spam or not.
If the e-mails weren't spam, is there a possibility to release and send them?
Is it possible through Plesk Linux version on the root servers to update? If not and you will update the Debian itself, you have to note something? What should you back up before everything to make Plesk is working again? Is a complete reinstallation is required?
I am attempting to migrate from a debian os server with the latest plesk 12 to Centos (rather cloudlinux) and would like to know if there are any options that should not be checked during the process?
I recently tried to do the normal procedure, which is to transfer all objects, etc. And for some reason the percentage went from 1-50% to then back to zero.. but when clicking to check the current status, its still working
Status: in progress Current operation deploying domain.com current operation progress: empty bar
Different sites are transferring, but I am not sure if the migration will effect the system because the difference in OS folder structure and file location.
For some reason I am having issues with latest Plesk with php and wordpress. HTML sites are fine, but all php and wordpress sites are giving a 502 error after fully migrating. I repaired with Webserver Configurations Troubleshooter and rebooted and its still giving me the same issue. Also, noticed my previous server had php 5.4.36, the new CentOS server has 5.4.37.
I have reported this to BurstNET admin/abuse/NOC and have added a line to block them for now.
Does this belong to anyone??? Nslookup/dig reveals nothing.

I'm having some trouble finding a VPS host that offers Debian and Plesk. I've searched the forum but nothing's really panned out. I'm currently with Geekstorage but the server has been slow (same problem reported by others).
Anyone have recommendations for Debian + Plesk VPS host?
I have a shared hosting account on dreamhost It has php and others installed but it allows custom installations for a number of reasons (control of the php.ini file, ...).
I have shell and ftp access to /home/username/ where my websites are (/home/username/domain.ltd)
I installed php 5.2.9 under /home/username/php5, I also installed ffmpeg but I ran into troubles installing ffmpeg-php.
Now I would like to start over, I'm not very advanced in this and I probably messed some stuff up. It seemed like a good idea to ask for some general advice before going at it again.
First, I was wondering about the filesystem I needed to set up, like the bin, tmp, lib, ... directories. Which ones do I need and what should go in them. And how exactly do I let the system know these folders are there and it should look there for some commands. When I used phpize, it used the default one instead of the one in my custom php folder. Is the export command all there is to it?
When I install PHP, where should I install it and do I need to point it to my directories (bin, lib, etc...) instead of the ones in the host's root. I noticed when installing ffmpeg-php it still looked for the default ones at some points:
HTML Code: "checking for PHP includes... -I/usr/local/include/php -I/usr/local/include/php/main -I/usr/local/include/php/TSRM -I/usr/local/include/php/Zend..." I don't know if this is normal behaviour or not, I'm just basically writing everything I am unsure about.
I got my website to use the custom PHP by editting the htaccess file
Also, what would be the best approach to remove the things I currently installed, I suppose remove the php5 directory is not enough.
I've got a dedicated server running the latest release of Debian and Plesk 8.4.0.
It's a Core2Duo, 1Gb RAM and 2 x 160Gb on hardware RAID 1.
There aren't any "heavy" sites on it, Apache is not under any stress... nothing is showing up on 'top' that's eating CPU or RAM... but here's the load:
My Plesk version is 8.2 and i use debian 3.1, I check the instructions on
[url]
this faq, it seems added in both inetd configuration file and xinetd.d configuration file in my configuration, also xinetd is working through system but ftp cannot be connectable. It gives "Unable to login server" from remote client and i also check with command line ftp client and service says that "421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection"
I also check this
[url]
faq and port is open:
Quote:
Starting nmap 3.81 [url] at 2007-08-02 16:59 CEST Interesting ports on xx-server.xxxxxx.net (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx): PORT STATE SERVICE 21/tcp open ftp
Nmap finished: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 0.013 seconds
Is there anyone knows how could I solve this situation?
PRODUCT, VERSION, VERSION OF MICROUPDATE, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE Plesk 11.0.9, Windows Server 2012
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: I have an application that uses customer prefixes ex. user1.domain.com, user2.domain.com. The application exists in one plesk subscription (with exclusive IP), the sales site (www) exists on another subscription on the same server (different IP - shared). On a previous version of plesk (9.5 I believe) I was able to easily point the www prefix to another subscription/domain on the same server. In Plesk 11 it won't let me do that ... when I try to create a "www" alias for the intended subscription I get the error message "Error: Wrong prefix for domain alias".
EXPECTED RESULT: Some option to allow me to point the www prefix to another subscription on same server.
For the application's subscription, the DNS is hosted within plesk, for the intended www subscription the DNS is hosted at godaddy. I don't think any of that makes a difference but mentioned anyways.
Who has their VPS's released immediatly after signing up online? I'm looking to a VPS that I can sign up for online and have full access at least within an hour. And not an hour during a business day I mean right now I want to order and ahve access. I will not be faxing documents or scanning anything. Who does this? I'm pissed about the hoops an unamed VPSprovider has been putting me through the last few days just for a stupid $30 a month VPS. They will never get my business again.
