Plesk 12.x / Linux :: How To Listen Website On 2 Ips
Apr 26, 2015
My server have 2 ip and I want my special hosting can listen on 2 ip. I edited some file from /var/www/vhosts/system/<domain>/conf. Change * to ip on <Virtualhost> But it don't effect.
I have a SSL certificate for my website. I add the certificate to plesk and now I want use the certificate for diffrent ports. If I run only apache without plesk I need to add the ports to the apache conf where it listening too.At the moment apache listen only on port 844. But I want add 8443 too, how I do it in plesk?
I've had a problem to get a connection to my websites via https. My Plesk is version 12.0.18 an it runs on ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I have installed the certificate in that way: URL.... The SSL in that repository is activated in the hosting settings. I've activated and deactivated them a several times. The nginx.conf and the httpd.conf seems to be all fine.
SSL Engine is on an certificate statements links to the certificates in /opt/psa/var/certificates/The access_ssl_log an proxy_access_ssl_log had no entries, but /var/log/nginx/error.log said:
2015/05/14 13:29:08 [error] 981#0: *12788 no "ssl_certificate" is defined in server listening on SSL port while SSL handshaking, client: x.x.x.x, serv$ Click to expand...
I just started using plesk for my blogs and websites, so testing and finding my way around i notice every site i add instead of having its own folder just like in cpanel(shared hosting) the sites are been added under the primary domain.
I have the latest centos 7 and plesk 12 installed on a dedicated server and i wish to add a new IP to use on a specific website. However, when I am trying to add the IP in plesk i am getting the following error:
Code: Error: ifmng failed: sh: /sbin/ifconfig: No such file or directory /sbin/ifconfig 'eth0:1' '85.214.93.196' netmask '255.255.255.255' up exited with non-zero status 127
I have read somewhere on the forum that installing iptables can fix this but cents 7 is using the new firewald and i am wondering if in the future such a change will not affect the well being of the overall server.
Is there any solution to this problem or will there be a fix from Plesk in the near future ?
I have a domain which has a website built in Web Presence Builder. That allows people to go to http://domain.com. When they do that, for Google analytics purposes (I do not want Google Analytics to show 2 pages of http://domain.com and http://www.domain.com), I want to ensure that any request puts www. in it automatically.
I've always hosted on shared hosting but recently upgraded to a VPS and am running Plesk 12.0.18 (Update #33).
Previously I had a way of sending a client a link to the site before the DNS and domains propagated. Usually, this was in the structure of
http://IP-Address/webspacename.tld
With Plesk, I am trying to do the same. But when I hit the preview button beside a domain name / web space, I get a very long winded URL which partially works.
[URL] ....
I could probably live with that but all my CSS paths are broken, browsing any links brings up a 404 nginx error etc. It's not good.
Interestingly, I have a site on the same VPS which works beautifully as the domain propogation has kicked in. However, and here's the thing, the very site in this URL preview structure has the same issue ... broken CSS files.
Is this a problem with my VPS provider or a Plesk oddity? BTW I know I could setup a cheap temp domain or change my Mac hosts file but I think this is beside the point. Would I be better off switching to Cpanel or a different VPS provider?
Differences between Websites & Domains and Webspaces
I'm a beginner in Plesk Panel and I've a "concept" question. So, which are the differences between Websites & Domains and Webspaces? There's some documentation about the definition of this three objects?
if I load a webpage from my server, the browser keeps still loading this page and doesn't finish loading. First if I refresh the page, I get the full page content. Sometimes there is html-data missing, sometimes I get only a part of an image. I tried different browsers and different computers, everywhere the same problem.
I have a problem with my linux server using plesk 12x, I am using postfix as the email service, all emails are working from the webmail (horde) and from any email client using smtp. However the service is not working from the website (contact form on Wordpress) nor through the ssh commands. I have searched for few days but I still seem to have an issue.
Code: ls -la /etc/alternatives/mta the output is "nothing found".
and
Code: ls -la /usr/sbin/sendmail output: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 nov 4 2011 /usr/sbin/sendmail -> /etc/alternatives/mta
I've seen a number of exploit attemps on the default website which I believe has come via direct access via ip address i.e http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.I have tried to block with .htacess but it seems to be being ignore (possibly by parallels or nginx configuration).how I can block access to the default site to all but 127.0.0.1, server external ip and my ip?
Two month ago I installed plesk 11.5 on my server (with centos 6 or 7 I don't remember) Then i added my domain.com by clicking on "Add New Domain" and using the auto dns system configuration. All worked great. During this period, Parallels Plesk was auto updating to 12.x 1 week ago, I restarted my server, and my website was down (I think because DNS problem with 12.x or ip problem or port closed...)
So I formatted my dedicated server, then I reinstall Parallels Plesk 11 (with centos 6) and the website worked great. Then I re-formatted my dedicated server, then I installed Parallels Plesk 12 (with centos 7) and the website did not work.
So I think the problem come from plesk 12
This is how I process to configure my website on plesk 12 :
1. This is a 1&1 domain and an OVH dedicated server.
So I configure DNS like that :
1rst name server : nsXXXXXX.eu 2nd name server : sdns2.ovh.net
2. On plesk, i click on "Add New Domain"
Capture : [URL] ...
3. I wait for DNS propagation but it doesn't work...
Latest Plex installed on a fresh machine. Have tried both Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04 and cannot seem to have my website work correctly regarding URL rewrites. Its enabled in apache...
I'm pretty new to Plesk and would like to setup a testing wordpress website without changing DNS yet. I assume I need to create a webspace for it. But do I use actual domain or an IP address? Wordpress ties up to the domain as far as I know.
Today, without any change on the server side my single running website on my server started running low. After checking the running processes I realised I have these 8 processes running with high cpu load something that didn't had before.

apache error log doesn't show any warnings, errors.
I have installed an SSL certificate on my website since last saturday the 1st of May, and forced redirection to https URLs via .htaccess.
Since then, I cannot see any statistics in AWStats. All values stops after the implementation of the certificate. How can I continue to have statistics for my secured web site ?
For some reason I am receiving nginx errors after migrating all sites to a new plesk server. It seems only the default permalinks are allowing the websites to work, but custom permalinks aren't working.

I have a Plesk 12 server running under Debian 7. I have a website with only mail so I disable web hosting. The problem is that the client needs to use webmail but webmail does not work (maybe because web hosting is disabled)...
On our instance (Plesk 12 / Debian) I am logged out within 1 or 2 minutes quite often while working on config of the primary website (admin access). The session idle time is set to the 30 min default, and the problem isn't to do with changing IP addresses - the multiple sessions visible all have the same IP address.
This happens so constantly it is difficult do any real work. Where is the logic of session creation and termination? What do we need to look at to deal with this problem? We have root access.
When I use website copy function the website files are copied to another domain but the database remains on old site. I use this function to move the website from devel state to the production state. All sites work fine but when i schedule the backups all databases are saved on old domain. How to move the database on production domain?
my apache listen at port 78, however, when I modify listen 80 and port 80 to listen 78 and port 78, restart apache, it does not work. I checked the port 78, nothing but apache there. even I modify all :80 to :78 in the httpd.conf, still does not work. there only one site on the server. there is nothing on error log file.
my system is x86_64 cento 4.4 and apache is 1.3.37.
