View 1 RepliesWhen I use website copy function the website files are copied to another domain but the database remains on old site. I use this function to move the website from devel state to the production state. All sites work fine but when i schedule the backups all databases are saved on old domain. How to move the database on production domain?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my linux server using plesk 12x, I am using postfix as the email service, all emails are working from the webmail (horde) and from any email client using smtp.However the service is not working from the website (contact form on Wordpress) nor through the ssh commands. I have searched for few days but I still seem to have an issue.
Code:
ls -la /etc/alternatives/mta
the output is "nothing found".
and
Code:
ls -la /usr/sbin/sendmail
output: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 nov 4 2011 /usr/sbin/sendmail -> /etc/alternatives/mta

I'm new to Parallels Panel. I use version 11.0.9. I want to backup mysql database daily. First of all, what is the best way for daily database backup in plesk. I'm trying to do this in Scheduled Tasks and I use mysqldump command although I'm not sure.
I chose the time and day first and then I switched on the task. I typed the following command to Command line.
mysqldump -uusername -ppassword databasename | gzip -9 >/httpdocs/mydatabase.sql.gz
or
mysqldump -uusername -ppassword databasename >/httpdocs/mydatabase.sql.gz
This created only a blank file. When I use this without gzip, nothing changes.
1- Is mysqldump right command for database backup?
2- Should I define full path for mysqldump, gzip and database? If so, how can I find out the full path of mysqldump, gzip and my database? Because I can't see their locations in panel.
3- I can't see any error message. There is not any log file in httpdocs folder. Where does the log file exist?
4- It is weird but should the username be "database user" or should I write "root" ?
I have the latest centos 7 and plesk 12 installed on a dedicated server and i wish to add a new IP to use on a specific website. However, when I am trying to add the IP in plesk i am getting the following error:
Code:
Error: ifmng failed: sh: /sbin/ifconfig: No such file or directory /sbin/ifconfig 'eth0:1' '85.214.93.196' netmask '255.255.255.255' up exited with non-zero status 127
I have read somewhere on the forum that installing iptables can fix this but cents 7 is using the new firewald and i am wondering if in the future such a change will not affect the well being of the overall server.
Is there any solution to this problem or will there be a fix from Plesk in the near future ?
I have a 6GB backup file created with another Plesk Backup Manager, now I trying to upload this backup file to my Plesk Backup Manager but after upload 3% I am getting "413 Request Entity Too Large" error, I tried with disable NGINX but still getting this error.
how can I resolve this error or is their any other way to upload my file on backup manager?
I see that Backup Manager have a file size restriction of 2GB how can I increase this?
I have Plesk Windows version, when I want import my backup mysql, i see below error:

I have the following problem, the files and folders generated by PHP are hidden in FTP.
I can see in the Plesk file manager that users, permissions and groups are the same for all files and folders (those that can be seen and those that cannot be seen from FTP).
All the options in the server are set by default. It is a new installation of Plesk 12.0.18 #4 in CentOS 6.5 (Final).
SO: CentOS 6.5 (Final)
Plesk: 12.0.18 #4
PHP: FasctCGI
Apache Modules:
I am the owner of a VPS, where i host a website.
However this website suddenly was returning 404 nginx errors (on certain files), however these files do exist.
If i try to access a file that doesnt exist it gives me a regular 404 browser error (not nginx).
During loading of one these files i also noticed it was loading openadserving.com
So i think my server has been infected.
For example this is a logo image: [URL] ....
I cannot seem to find a conclusive answer to this. I use subdomains to create client websites then once they are in their own domains the subdomains still remain. Can I delete only the subdomain and leave all the files or at least leave the database since it is still connected to the new domain. Example below.
subdomain.example.com uses database1
newsite.com still uses database1
Is there a way to copy the database into the new domain?
Which protocol I should use for performing a backup of important server files and folders. I do make a snapshot but i found that's not enough.
My Centos 6.6 has ProFTPD configuration setup only for webhosts so no root access. I came across SCP, but don't know how to secure that like a Pro. I have also heard about SSHFS for linux.
I had an hosting account with a copany, recently I migrated to VPS managed by plesk 11.5..I was able to get the awstats database file from the old host, and i have copied them in the /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/statistics/webstats/ folder, together with the other database files genereted by the new VPS hosting
Only problem is that plesk only rebuilds everyday the static page for the current month, and I see no way to ask him to build the pages for this past months. Also would be good if he would rebuild the header to have updated the dropdown menu from which to choose the month to dispay..Is it possible to rebuild manually these static pages?
Any way to backup every SQL Databases at once ?
At the moment i need to configure each subscription on my backup program to backup each sql database.
there is any way to set a login that back's up all the databases?
And for the ftp files?
I am trying to restore a backup that Parallels Plesk made (latest version) and I used to get the option at some point to replace everything. Now, I only get the options to select what I want to restore and it fails because it says certain things, domains, content is already there.
I can't find the option anymore that allows me to say replace everything during the backup. Was that removed? If so, I'd really....really like it back.

I'm running Plesk v12.0.18 #22 on Ubuntu 12.04.
In the plesk backup-settings I've set the max. number of backup-files to 5.
Actually Plesk doesn't limit the number of backups stored in the local repository.
So unfortunately the partition is running out of space.
What can be done to solve that problem?
I have a plesk
[root@srv tmp]# cat /usr/local/psa/version
10.3.1 CentOS 5 1013110726.09
I have following problem:
When i do full backup and download this backup, plesk create a temporary file inside directory /usr/local/psa/tmp but after download finish this file is not deleted, and this is causing problem because i have a server with small disk space.
I keep getting this warning on one of my domains.
I was running on a Ubuntu 10.04 LTS VPS and had this error too, then yesterday imported the domain from the old VPS to our new Plesk Server (Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS) and I still get this error on this one domain.
This is the error in question...

When you delete a site backup from its "Backup Manager" Panel, it is removed and no longer displayed in the Panel. However, I cannot tell if this action actually does anything with the real site backup files in "/var/lib/psa/dumps". Does this action merely remove it from PSA's database but not touch any actual files? If this is true, then how are site backup files supposed to be managed if this action doesn't actually delete them?

have just had a website created for me where I can store my photos on. It uses JSP + MySQL for the databse which stores the photo IDs, photo location etc. I want to get it up and running on the net but have no idea how to do this!

I even cant connect via ssh to the mysql part of my server. But the server is running and both of my two wordpress pages run smoothly. I know this page: [URL] .... – but as I sad, cant enter die mysql.
It seems something is wrong with the permissions. I'm on the point where I just want to reset everything database related. But how?
This is on a CentOS 7.1, Plesk 12. New.
On Plesk 10.4 I had a script that backed up my MySQL databases separately. The script doesn't work now. I get an error:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Do I need to do something different with this new "MariaDB" thing?
Here's the script:
DB_BACKUP="/pat/to/databackup/`date +%Y-%m-%d`"
DB_USER="admin"
DB_PASSWD="-p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow`"
HN=`hostname | awk -F. '{print $1}'`

Is there a way to restore a MySQL database from the files located in /var/lib/mysql?
Unfortunately I don't have a mysqldump of the databases, just the raw files from an image of the server.
After update of some system commands, there is now difference between the system-wide command and the equivalent that is located in the chroot template directory (and the command that is in the domain's bin dir).
Is there a command/utility that can update the commands (and all libraries that they depend on), that we have in our chroot template directory /var/www/vhosts/chroot?
