Plesk 11.x / Windows :: All New FTP Accounts Broken - Home Directory Inaccessible
Oct 11, 2013
I have 11.5.30 and no new FTP accounts work. All I get when trying to connect is 530 User cannot log in, home directory inaccessible. I have run the command:
removed and added the user again repairing in between. I have manually tried creating the user folder under default/6/localuser/username and setting permissions. I have checked the local windows account and the home directory is fine.
All old accounts create previously work fine. I could at least connect on the master FTP site with the local user folder but then it was read only.
Updates ran over the weekend and I can no longer login to the Plesk Panel. I'm getting the following PHP error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_gpc() in D:Plesadminhtdocsindex.php on line 3Click to expand...
to restore accounts (cpanel) from the /home directory due to corrupt o/s.
I found this [url]
But its 3 years old. Is it still up to date at least? Would it work still with cpanel 11?
Also, I do have a backup drive which I have to remount (above is just in case the backups on 2nd drive are outdated). What is the proper way to remount the 2nd drive without deleting / formatting it?
Health Monitor Module is installed and running on server, but not visible under Server Administration Panel > Home > Server Health on Plesk Panel 11.0.9 update #7. Is there a trick to configuring home to show it and/or a direct way to launch view of server health?
As some of you may have noticed I have just signed up with Hawk Host. I had a question about the way the name your home directory. Lets say my full name is Chad Hawk. They have named my home directory /home/chadhaw . Is it normal for them to leave out the last letter of my last name or is that a typo. Or for that matter does it matter at all.
I am using Windows Server 2003 SP2 Standard Edition. I have installed Active directory and created users and their home folders. Everything works fine except a problem.
When a user from the domain uses the UNC to connect to the server, it shows the shared folder. The user can view and change all other users files, home directory etc. The user can browse all the folders.
I need it to be setup so that the user can only view his own home folder and files and not others. Also when using UNC to browse the server, I want an administrator authentication even if the user is from the same domain.
Here are my current permissions.
NTFS Root folder permission ================================= Administrators - Full Control CREATOR OWNER - Special Permission System - Full Control Domain Users - Read & Execute, List Contents, Read, Special Permissions.
Share permission of root folder ================================ Domain Users - Read
NTFS Permission for user home folders ===================================== Created User - Full Control Administrators - Full Control CREATOR OWNER - Special Permission System - Full Control Domain Users - Read & Execute, List Contents, Read, Special Permissions.
I'll mention this is a cPanel/WHM server with about 15 accounts on it.
I get an e-mail everyday from my server's backup script telling me what new or changed files it found. Yesterday this summary was massive, and it showed new or changed files in these directories:
The /home/virtfs directory is something I haven't seen before, and it contained two directories belonging to two accounts on the server.
Does anyone know why these directories would be created or what they are for? The bit of reading I've done on this so far mentions that these directories will be created as a result of jailed SSH, but neither of those two accounts have ever had jailed SSH enabled.
I tried to set up a site with a "dedicated" IP without SSL, and ran into this problem again. The new IPs (v4 or v6) are not reachable, pingable, or trace routable from outside the container, even from its PCS hardware node. This is what I get after adding the address in PPA:
By contrast, if I add an IP address through PVA, it is pingable. Note the differences, namely that PVA's ifcfg-eth0:0 has "BOOTPROTO=static" and the IPs double quoted. For those testing at home also note that PVA removed the existing IPv6 addresses (that it didn't know about).
I use plesk 11, I was creat sub directory: domain.com/test. but I access via test.domain.com is ok, but domain.com/test is error " page not found" how to I access via domain.com/test ?
3.the issues here, after config DNS from domain provider, i access to domain bbb.com on the brower, plesk use the index file in c:intetpubvhostaaa.combb.com .
i want c:intetpubvhostbb.comhttpdocs is public directory folder for domain bbb.com
I need a private directory under {WEBSPACEROOT} e.g. d:/inetpub/vhosts/domain-name/ .
This is possible under the other's dedicate webserver running plesk for linux. (as a matter of fact linux version of plesk has a folder called private, for example to hold php files not accessible via http)
I have create this directory but is not accessible via php, and seems that is not possible to set the permission for the domain-owner.
I have set the desired path in open_basedir but this is have no effect...
Since I upgraded to Plesk 12, when I create a new subscription, an IUSR account is no longer created for that website so I can grant the appropriate permissions to folders, etc.
I want to set plesk to allow the overuse for disk space and bandwidth for my customers, but not for e-mail accounts.
If I do not allow overuse, what exactly happens when a customer exceeds the use of resources? The plesk panel immediately stops all the customer's services? Or what?
Moreover: is there a diagnostic utility to understand if the plesk panel is working correctly and is correctly installed?
