Plesk 11.x / Linux :: Out Of Control SSL Log File - Grows By GB A Day
Jun 8, 2014
I suddenly have a client's access_SSL_log.processed file growing at a ridiculous rate. Very small website. The log file had grown to 6BG before I realized the problem. I removed it and two days later there was a 3GB log file that replaced it. Nothing strange that I can see regarding the traffic to the website, which is quite small. Only 80 visitors.
My mail queue is growing up. I've stopped qmail but the queue goes on growing I must have an script running injecting mail in the queue, how can I find the script? I looked the running process (ps ) but I can not find anything (there is a lot of process!!!!)
I can not log into to plesk right now. It's display message " Unable to read Control Panel configuration file: date_default_timezone_get() [function.date-default-timezone-get]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_ timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Asia/Krasnoyarsk' for '7.0/no DST' instead".
I'm unable to access my plesk control panel .its giving this error "Unable to read Control Panel configuration file";tried all available solution for permissions but the problem remains.
If I execute /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mail_handlers_control --list than I get a Block with some Email Addresses which are not major. What does it tell?

I have 12 domains in my control panel but i only see 5 domains in my control panel but all 12 domains are working they are up but only see 5 in control panel....
I've installed PHP-FPM into Plesk 12 and it is showing as a running service. However I can't find any way of enabling it per site at all. I'm still just getting the 3 standard PHP options:
Apache module CGI application FastCGI application
The documentation states the option would be available on a per-site basis but it isn't.
I've been having a few issues with the control panel navigation is running slow even though I have heaps of resources available and free. The server is located locally and have no problems surfing websites attached to the same server.
When I login as admin, it can take 25 seconds to load into the first screen.

I have tried issuing a /etc/init.d/psa restart command and has made no difference.
I've searched, since about update 37 the outgoing mail control has stopped working for all of my domains. I get a hacker sendmail script uploaded sometimes and it used to catch it. Now it allows them to send and isn't detected them, maxing out my relays.
I upgraded Plesk to 12.0.18 on centos5.8 just because of new feature, Outgoing Mail Limit. There was no problem until I had to increase one of my client's domain limit. I set its Mail Box, Domain & subscription limit to "unlimited", but user get limit exceeded warning again. I search this problem on internet, and the only related article was [URL] .... but I didn't got meaning of "server wide limits".
I have been a solid cPanel / WHM user for the past 2 years, we have now since downsized our hosting requirements and also wanted to cut our panel costs and so we moved to PLESK 12 Web Edition. The server is on a trial license and has been working fine with no problems for the past 2 weeks. Today all of a sudden none of the websites are accessible, although I can ping all IP's on server and login via SSH.I cannot access any websites or hosting control panel, I have disabled IP tables as this was the cause of a problem last time.
Why this happened was there an update at around 5AM this morning which could have caused this?I have restarted the server, I can successfully ping / resolve address from SSH.
Outgoing mail control functions properly for domains, but it does not count or limit subdomains.
For example, if you have a subdomain like: sub.domain.tld
And an email account on that subdomain, like: info@sub.domain.tld
Then outgoing mail limits are not applied to that subscription/domain/mail account. You are able to send more emails than the limit.
Also, if you go to: -> Tools and Settings -> Outgoing mail control
And try to see statistics for that subscription/domain/mail account, it shows that there are not sent emails, even if you have sent emails. Of course I checked it many hours after sending, or even the next days.
I purchased a Host license.Major customers in China. There is a facebook link in the panel. But China does not allow access facebook. This leads to a very slow access speed! Can I remove this link? If so, how to remove?
I have server with the Plesk control panel on Linux server and want to install ffmpeg but not sure about the steps to install it. Any script or easy steps to install ffmpeg on my server.
i would like to change the access control for datebase users via CL: command: /usr/local/psa/bin/database --update-dbuser web1_presta -server localhost:3306 reply: The database user was successfully updated. examination: mysql> select host, user from mysql.user;
Only when using the GUI: home -> Subscriptions -> Website & Domains -> Databases -> Users -> web1_wp -> Access control -> from Allow remote connections from any host -> to Allow local connections only
is also the user adjusted: mysql> select host, user from mysql.user; +-----------+------------------+ | host | user | +-----------+------------------+ | localhost | web1_oxid | | localhost | web1_presta | | localhost | web1_shopware | | localhost | web1_wp | +-----------+------------------+
Is it possible to see what e-mails are blocked/prohibited by Plesk Outgoing mail control? Currently i've set a limit of 20 mails on each mailbox. Yesterday I received an e-mail that there were messages blocked. For me personally it would be good to see what the receivers email adresses are and optionally what the content of the e-mail was. This way I can find out if it was really spam or not.
If the e-mails weren't spam, is there a possibility to release and send them?
I have set the values for outgoing mail control low enough to catch the problems without affecting all but one of my clients. I have given him increased limits on certain of his mailboxes.
However when he wants to modify the mailbox, for example change the password he gets the following error.
The maximum number of outgoing email messages (in a pink box)
"The value must be in the range 0..50. Only the Plesk administrator can adjust this setting."
He cannot change the password for this mailbox.
Is there anyway of setting a custom limit on an account and also allow the client to retain the ability to reset his own password.
A second problem, also qmail is that I can't send to the server using TLS on the submission port, only if I do plain text. But the first problem is bigger because we can't send at all.
This is a new plesk installation and it has never worked.
Mail Statistic not working, In /var/log/maillog contains below logs:The limit on the number of allowed outgoing messages was exceeded. Try again later.

I have upgrade from 11.0 to 11.5 three days ago and yesterday then from 11.5 to 12 due to the need of the outgoing mail control limit feature... but that ist not working.
I have enabled the feature and set a limit for one emailadress to two mails per hour. i have sent definitely more then 3 test mails via this email address but nothing happens.. and when i look into the statistics screen - this email address has sent 0 mails in the last 12 hours - which is definitely wrong. Seems the piece in the middle which counts mails etc is not working... how does the outgoing control limit works? is there some special configuration needed after an upgrade etc?
I'm not been able to start plesk although web and mail services are running.I'm getting the error unable to execute php_handlers_control.I've patched and updated plesk with command line and bootstrap repair and I'm getting this errors:
Errors occured in mail restore procedure Some utilities have exited with errors: /usr/lib64/plesk-9.0/mail_auth_dump /usr/lib64/plesk-9.0/mail_responder_restore
