I have 2 different servers one with Plesk 11.5. and one new just installed Plesk 12.0, the 12.0 will not send emails out but i get them back to the inbox of the outgoing server. is there a fix for this as i have tried both postfix and qmail to send out emails all with the same result.
It seems that something has changed from version 11.5 to 12.
The plesk configuration is installed on Debian 7.7 OS
For VOIP traffic I am thinking of moving some servers from bay area to C4D.
I store all my server boxes so its easy to UPS them.
My question is if i wanted the servers to be shipped back from c4d in case of any reason in future do they keep the original boxes around to ship the servers back?
On my plesk server, i have several emails account. These email addresses should receive only emails send by a specific server. But for now, they can receive any email, including spam.
So, i would like to block all emails that are not coming from the allowed server.
How can i do this in plesk ? As i am not a very good server admin, can you tell me exactly what i need to do in plesk?
I was trying to install some software before I really knew how. I copied some files over to /usr/bin and overwrote
/user/bin/INSTALL
/user/bin/README
/user/bin/PGK-INFO
Do I need those original files back or am I ok?
We have a server with a fine company, BocaCom. They are who the IP addresses are we use ultimately registered to. It seems we are being blacklisted by secureserver (isn't that Godaddy?) because the IP does not register to us for our outgoing email. It registers to BocaCom.
Is anyone else having this problem, and how to we get around it? We've contacted BocaCom and are waiting for their reply. Is this an IP issue or am I reading the secureserver reply wrong?

While there is indeed an rDNS record created for 72.35.xx.xx, it does not point back to the original A record. This will need to be updated before we can look further into unblocking the IP.

I recently installed a plesk on a vps in OVH hosting, and after that i installed a new domain on it. I'm getting errors sending emails and some email providers return them or consider them as spam.

My Plesk panel (11.5.30) hosts a number of domains that all use Google Apps for Business to host their emails. No emails are hosted on the panel, and the mail server is turned off. So is the DNS server.
Using the mail() php function to send automatic confirmation emails from a website hosted on the panel, they arrive at any address NOT hosted locally, however they fail to arrive at any address whose website is locally hosted.
My initial research suggested that Plesk was routing locally, hence the problem, however the mailserver has been turned off the for domain/webspace.
I have experimented a strange behaviour on plesk linux 12.0.18 Update #33
Basically:
1. I have recompiled Apache with more file descriptors
2. Several days later watchdog did not work properly. Support requested me to remove and install wd
3. I ran the autoinstaller. All my compiled version where replaced.
Watchdog is ok now, but I have to recompile Apache.
I have been searching on forum and kb but could not find any reoccurance.
Question : Is there a way to avoid this ?

I do not know how this happened though. When I use find command on shell, I got the following error.
find: File system loop detected; `/var/named/chroot/var/named' is part of the same file system loop as `/var/named'.
It is minimal CentOS6.3 install with plesk 11.

But when I click to go to web stats a popup opens that gets stuck in a redirect loop so I cannot access them.
The url is right, like this, but with my domain : [URL]
if I disable SSL on Plesk server some days/weeks later it is activated again.
To disable SSL I use the script from Parallels in this post: [URL]
After running this script to deactivate SSL I did some checks to verify if its deactivated and it definitely was deactivated.
I guess that SSL is activated again by the parallels updates or micro updates.
The issue is that a lot of my emails seem to be bouncing back at the moment with the subject 'Subject: Warning: could not send message for past 1 day'
Could anyone explain why this might be the case? I've had a look online and the only thing I can think it might be is that my email address has been gray listed. To solve this it was recommended to use a SPF Record.
I did not really want to start messing around with my DNS before I could get some confirmation that this is the case. Though if there is another explaination please can you let m know.
The emails that I have sent have all had pdf's attached to them.

It's a Linux server and is running postfix for the mail. The main website on this domain has the mail service disabled because we have an exchange service on our own server here in the building where we work. Now when anyone on any of our domains on the VPS try to email us at 'maincompany.com' they get the following error message:

i have a domain registered within PLESK having the same name as the server itself. After a short period of time the domain shows up the PLESK default page instead of the original content located in the vhost httpdocs directory.
To restore the content it's possible to deactivate and re-activate the domain from the customers control panel. But after an amount of time the default page comes back.I first recognized the error after the update to PLESK 12.
run a command on /var/git to set rights and onwer without being cautious enough.I have run chown git:git .* -R which did not only run direction downwards the tree but upwards as well :-(
Any way to reset permissions and ownership for the directories back to standard?I tried /usr/local/psa/bin/repair already. Did lot of the fixes, but not all is in line yet.
Since Microupdate 11.0.9 #52/#53 I get the following error from my scheduled backup:

I have a dedicate server and got a problem with receiving and sending email with Yahoo email accounts. I checked with gmail and other one and it works fine except Yahoo. It does not delivery when I sent out to Yahoo accounts. However, I can get email from Yahoo when they send back to me but a little bit delay.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with one of my Plesk Panels for windows (v. 11.5.30 Update #47). One of the clients is getting "Redirect loop" error when tries to login to his panel. The funny thing is that this is only happening to one account. I've tried to change subsriber for his subscription, but there was no result, since the same thing happend when I tried to login with the new subscriber's login.

When I try setup and new email account on any domain, I get teh following error message.

Error: mailmng-outgoing failed: ERROR:outgoing:mails.domain_id may not be NULL
If i click OK, I get the following error message
The specified email address is already in use.
I have to click cancel to return to the email address list, which shows the new email address with NO mailbox.
I then have to open the email address and check the Mailbox option to activate it.
Now the email account is configured correctly.
I've looked a good amount of time trying to change/find where its stored. I've looked in var/qmail and there is no alias folder..We're running postfix/dovecot ....

I want to keep this IP address on network interface, but not let plesk panel use this address in all config files (nginx. apache, ssl etc.)
I want to use standard ports (443 and 80) on this IP address with some custom program not related to plesk panel and web servers. But now Plesk binds all available IP addresses to it services by default.
I've a vps hosting with several domains as you can see
I have to install several SSL certificates and the provider indicates me I must use different IP address in each domain, but I don't know how to do that.
I have several IPs
But all the domains are associated with the first IP, and I can't disassociate one domain and associate it to other IP.
Only when I go to settings for the hosting, I can change the IP, but it's the IP of the hosting, not the IP for one domain.
I use CentOS 5.5, Plesk 12 and Atmail. When I log in to
webmail.example.com
by browser and send emails to others, my home computer IP is attached to emails as X-Origin. I even used Thunderbird to send emails and same issue happens.
How can I prevent Qmail or (Atmail) to add my home computer IP to X-Origin? I am even OK if the server IP is attached to emails rather than home IP.
Is there a way to setup auto replies for emails via ssh?
I'm still having issues after our server provider destoried the database and refuse to fix it and need to urgently add an auto reply to an email.
I use a spam protection service. It works as following : -My DNS are configured to point to a server (sever A) which is configured to filter spams. -If an email is not a spam, the first server send it to my mail server (server B).
But some spammers found a way to bypass the protection : They send directly their email to my mail server (server A). So, i want to allow only emails coming from the server A IP.
