Package Not Allowed Or Exceeded Resource/Account Allocation
Jan 15, 2008
Im getting this error when i try to create a package for a client. As far as i can tell, everything is set up properly. Its located inside my WHM area, but the billing software wont create the account and gives me:
Package Not Allowed or Exceeded Resource/Account Allocation
but i have no resource or account allocation settings set. everything is wide open.
My second question is, if i want to give someone unlimited bandwidth/storage, how do i do that? ive tried -1 and 0, but it keeps kicking it out as not valid. any ideas?

Before I look into that, is it a server problem (my responsibility), or a problem with the client's forum software (not my responsibility).
If it's something I have to fix from my end, what do I do? I've never encountered that error that I can remember.
my costumer's web site often started to give "This Account Has Exceeded Its CPU Quota" error
his/her logs following.

My system usage is at 98.5% and the numproc out of 400 allowed 392 is in use It wasn't like this before and i have used up only 38% of the space alloted and cpu load is also at just 19%.
Could anyone explain me whats actually the problem of high system usage?
I own a dedicated server and have 3 cpanel for each of my 3 sites in my WHM, I was wondering how much resource would each cpanel account use?
Reason I'm asking is because I have a couple of other sites i'd like to add to this server but I'm not sure if I should simply add them as domain add-on's in one of my current cpanel accounts or if it's ok to create another for each site without using up my server's resources.
I have a customer who needs to move her existing hosting to another provider. The one thing she likes about the existing provider, however, is an allowance of Email attachments of 50-75MB in size. Most limit you to 10-20MB. Does anyone know of a hosting provider that would accomodate this?
I do not have resource limit enabled, should i enabled all the reseller settings with these words? for eg: Quota Modification (Warning: This will allow circumvention of account package limits if you are not using resource limits)?
I want to allow resellers to create any amount of accounts within the limit allocated to them, should i then enable or disable it?
if it's possible to disable the ability to send email for accounts using a certain package in cPanel? I tried searching, I didn't find anything really relevant. Would it be possible to maybe create a rule, or script to add a rule to each account using a package to just block that username or account from sending email?
Q1: You've got one server with 8MB RAM. You offer a single VPS plan with 256GB guaranteed RAM. Does this mean that you are limited to exactly 32 VPS clients on this machine? (Or 8 clients if you had a single 1MB plan.)
Q2: On a single Virtuozzo machine, again with 8MB RAM, do providers typically mix and match plans on the same box? In other words will they typically put their 1MB clients on the same box as the 256MB clients?
I just signed up to a new VPS server with 640MB RAM guaranteed and 2GB burst RAM..
Here's what I've got on my privvmpages: Soft Limit: 524,288 Hard Limit: 655,360
I stumbled upon this thread (webhostingtalk.com/archive/index.php/t-466457.html) and realized that I only get 512MB guaranteed RAM instead of 640MB RAM as written on their specs..
Is my calculation all right?.. or did I miss something here..
I just moved data centres here in the UK. I've paid for a 47U rack with 8amps of power. I plugged everything in and the meter is reading 8.9 - 9.1 amps. Seems fine at the moment, should I be worried about it tripping or is it just a case of if they find out they'll hike my bill up?
After obtaining a new allocation from ARIN, how long do you typically wait before your upstreams update their filters to allow the new announcement? Which providers are most proactive? Least?
I was unziping from network 4gb file to my server and server crashed. When I got it back up partition has allocated 4gb of space, but there is no file I cannot reallocate it. /dev/hda6 67G 63G 437M 100% /home
Like you can see above 4gb is allocated but it is not used, so what can i do?
My mail server stopped working this weekend, when I got in today I restarted and all the emails came through. The panic_log shows:
daemon: accept process fork failed: Cannot allocate memory several times over the course of a few minutes. Can anyone give me advice on troubleshooting this one?
Our company currently has colo in NY, UK and Geneva and have recently started to rent some space in an Australian datacentre.
In each of our existing centres we have a /26 range of IP addresses assigned to us (62 usable IPs) and we requested the same for our Australian installation.
The colo company has email us today with our IP range allocation and they seem to have chosen to allocate us 12 seperate /29 ranges (6 usable IPs).
This seems really strange to me, is it normal practise? Why not just assign us one /26 as requested.
Also, our WatchGuard firewalls only accept one range in the configuration and then you add in all of the IP aliases seperatly. If I set a the IP range to bigger than the range we own (to cover all 12 seperate ranges we've been issued) would this cause problems for the people that own the other IPs in this large range?
Got a slight problem on my development OpenVZ server, it has been working 100% up until 2 days ago when I did a restart.
I have 5 VE's (id 201 - 205), I was able to run all 5 will ample resourses spare.
Now I can only run one at a time...?
I checked the logs and get this
Dec 3 18:16:17 localhost kernel: allocation failed: out of vmalloc space - use vmalloc=<size> to increase size. Dec 3 18:16:17 localhost kernel: VE: 202: stopped Dec 3 18:16:17 localhost kernel: VE: 202: failed to start with err=-12 ....
During these periods of inaccessibility, ping/traceroutes from multiple physical locations around the world show 50-100% packet loss.
During times when the server is accessible, ping times are anywhere from 100ms-700ms and the server does not remain accessible for very long.
I gave my provider traceroutes and pings for those times when it was inaccessible and accessible and they stated it was not on their side. It was on a hop in the middle between me (and apparently everyone else, since multiple locations around the world were used) and my server. They say it is not in their control and they cannot do anything about it.
I am reasonably sure this isn't just me or my VPS. I am on the phoenix node of PrimaryVPS.
The latest traceroute I did showed something new - a router advertisement claiming the TTL was exceeded....
Now I'm looking at our last cpu_exceeded_logs file and there is long list point to "/ramdisk/bin/php5" which I don't know much about it or don't know how to deal with that. would you please tell what exactly it means and what should I do to avoid it?
Example of my last cpu_exceeded_logs file:
Quote:
Mon Jul 6 00:34:50 2009: used 0.77 seconds of cpu time for /ramdisk/bin/php5 Mon Jul 6 00:34:50 2009: used 0.50 seconds of cpu time for /ramdisk/bin/php5 Mon Jul 6 00:34:50 2009: used 0.80 seconds of cpu time for /ramdisk/bin/php5 Mon Jul 6 00:34:50 2009: used 0.55 seconds of cpu time for /ramdisk/bin/php5
I can't find the cause of problem when look at /ramdisk/bin/php5.
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later. Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at confidentchemicals.com Port 80
Bandwidth limit gets reset every first of month but what to do when users reached to this limit between 1 to 10 days?
we don't want to upgrade users packages or bandwidth limit rather than allocated.
why can't we reduce bandwidth limit? __________________
Has anyone ever run into this before? We are running into issues with one of our hosting servers, it claims that the /tmp folder has exceeded the disk quota but when you actually go to the /tmp folder it's not at all.
Here are the outputs:
# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/simfs 60G 2.4G 58G 4% /
But it still gives a PHP error saying /tmp disk quota exceeded until I completely empty the folder and then it works for a few hours and does the same thing.
I have seen some hosting provider limit the number of process per user id. Usually its shows an Internal Server error with the error message saying "Process Limit Exceeded For UID ******", how can i do this in my vps?
