PHP + OpenSSL, Error Unable To Find The Socket Transport SSL
We're having problems with the Roundcube webmail spell check, and upon checking the log we get the error 'Unable to find the socket transport SSL'. From what I can find out this is normally due to Open SSL not being enabled, but it is, you can check our php config here.

If you have a socket F m/b, does a socket 940 heatsink works nicely on a socket F m/b? I can fit the original socket 940 heatsink on a socket F m/b but I am not sure whether there are any cooling related problems? I could not get Apache to restart. It kept failing. Narrowed it down to this error: [Tue Jan 22 16:09:03 2008] [error] SSL Library Error: 218734605 error:0D09A00D:asn1 encoding routines:d2i_PrivateKey:ASN1 lib Removed the SSL portion out of my virtual host file and Apache restarted. But if I put the SSL portion back in, Apache fails. All paths in http.conf and ssl.conf files are correct. And the SSL Cert is valid. This is Centos box with Apache2 with OpenSSL 0.9.7. Any suggestions on why this happened out of the blue and how to fix it?

Unable To Make Changes To Php.ini
i'm trying to configure PHP, as I really need to turn magic quotes off and raise the memory limit. i don't want to use .htaccess - too many sites I got plesk 8.2.1, php5.1 well, to make it short, I ran 'phpinfo()' to see where php.ini was: etc/php.ini I change that, restart httpd, nothing happens. restart the server, nothing still. my changes are not applied when I run 'phpinfo()' again. i try 'locate php.ini' from the terminal, there are a few! /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini.def /usr/local/sitebuilder/php.ini /etc/php.ini /etc/php.ini. /etc/php.ini.saved_by_psa /etc/php.ini.rpmsave ... plus some in the opt folder (that should be just the cache, uh?) the problem is that I tried to open all of them, to see where the hell php was getting the settings from, but none of them seem to reflect php's settings. meaning, I don't know what file I can use to configure PHP. all of them, for instance, say 'memory_limit: 32M', but php is set at 8M, and phpinfo() tells me memory_limit 8M. any idea why this might be happening? does Plesk have some tool to configure PHP that makes PHP ignore my changes?

How-To: Find PHP Nobody Spammers!
Someone posted some code similar to below, I made modifications or two after trying to detect PHP "nobody" users, after dumping a few printenv I found PHP exports PWD when calling an external program such sendmail. Basically the PWD will show the user directory that is coming from, which is enough to detect who is sending SPAM even as nobody! SSL - Modulus Mismatch Error In WHM
I'm having trouble getting an SSL certificate setup on a domain through WHM. I was originally getting a "Modulus mismatch, key file does not match certificate." error. I contacted RapidSSL and they had me generate a new CSR for the domain and forwarded a new cert. I'm still getting the same error, which makes me think it's a server-side issue. I have checked and re-checked the cert text to make sure I'm not putting in any extra whitespaces or anything. I know the cert must be somewhat valid because when I put it into WHM and click outside the cert box it automatically pulls up what account it is for (domain, username, ip). Does anyone know what would cause this?

SSL Email And SMTP Error - WHM/cPanel - Retail Host Certificate
We have a few users that use SSL email and we decided to purchase a cheap single-root SSL cert over at namecheap for the host name so that it would end the "self-signed cert" whining. We got the cert installed and it works great for WHM/cPanel and also works for SSL over IMAP and POP3, but the very first email anyone sends (SMTP) per day gives this warning (Outlook Express): The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified. A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider. It seems obvious that the cert used by the SMTP system is not the new one we installed. We used WHM's SSL/TLS -> Change Server Certificates link to install the cert. We then made sure that: /usr/share/ssl/certs/host.domain.com.crt /usr/share/ssl/private/host.domain.com.key /etc/exim.crt /etc/exim.key ...all contained the current cert or key as appropriate. Just for grins, we even made sure: /usr/local/cpanel/etc/cpanel.pem ...had the correct pair. We restarted all the mail services and even restarted the whole server. how can i do a search for all files (probs using regex) of files consisting purely of numbers? for e.g. find: 53243.php 24353.php 24098.php (always have 5 numbers). seems one of my accounts has had some script run which generated a bunch of these in various subfolders, and the php file basically does a callback to www3.rssnews.ws and www3.xmldata.info, which seem to be some sort of spyware servers.

To See If Php Error Happens
I have posted in this section before I have been getting php errors so my web host has moved some of my sites to a new server to see if this fixes the problem. If some of you would be nice enough to click one of the below links I would be very appreciative. I am trying to watch the error log for the next 24 to 48 hour to see if the error can be fixed. If the error keeps happening then I can know more what to do. If the error does not happen then I can consider moving the main web sites to this server. Compiling PHP Error
I recently tried upgrading my test VPS to run PHP 6.0, and it worked. However I wasn't able to get MySQL to compile with PHP. Hence I just reinstalled MySQL and tried recompiling PHP (from source) again. However I still get errors when compiling PHP: checking for MySQL support... yes checking for specified location of the MySQL UNIX socket... no checking for MySQL UNIX socket location... /var/tmp/mysql.sock configure: error: Cannot find libmysqlclient under /usr/local. Note that the MySQL client library is not bundled anymore! No matter what ./configure command I run, I can't seem to get this working. For example, the PHP INSTALL documentation (comes with the source files) actually says running: ./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs --with-mysql Will work fine. However it doesn't. I've also tried specifying the MySQL directory, to no success. these are in my php.ini: error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE display_errors = Off log_errors = On error_log = /var/log/php_log I tried setting up a test.php (which contains php error). When I try to access the file via root command: php -e test.php The error gets logged into /var/log/php_log. The problem is when I access this file via web, the error does not get logged into /var/log/php_log

I am hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction here. I just setup a new server (running Ubuntu LAMP). I also install phpmyadmin as I plan to create a php/mysql web app off it. However now when I try to access phpmyadmin I get the below error Also even when I try to run a login system which works on my other server I get a similar error? Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 311296 bytes) in /usr/share/phpmyadmin/libraries/common.inc.php on line 794 I have tried changing my php.ini file allow 16MB thinking maybe my max size was set too low but that did not fix it

I have a customer who wants to log the errors of his site in his domain's folder. How do i do that? I have enabled error logging in php.ini they are stored in /var/logs/php_errors, but i don't wanna change that. how do i do to put only his php errors on a file of his folder? i use cpanel on a centos box.

Enabling PHP Error Reporting
I just leased a server through EV1. It's Linux (I think), Apache, and Plesk 8.0. I'm trying to get error reporting to work for my php scripts. I opened up the php.ini file (I'm about 90% sure that it's the right php.ini file) found in the /etc folder. I changed error reporting to "on" and restarted my server with Plesk. PHP errors are still not showing up.
