New Configuration Files For Apache Web Server Were Not Created Due To Errors
Jun 30, 2014
After upgrade to Parallels plesk v 12.0.18 update #5 we were getting a blank screen. We have managed to get logged into the server but have errors - plus all the websites are down with a 404 error Apache Server at gardenbuildings.domainame.co.uk Port 443.
On the Plesk management it is showing: New configuration files for the Apache web server were not created due to the errors in configuration templates:
mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/www/vhosts/system/domainname.com/conf': No such file or directory mktemp: failed to create file via template `/var/www/vhosts/system/domainname.com/conf/httpd.conf.XXXXXX': No such file or directory Can not create temporary file .

Also when trying to resolve the issues and generating all configuration files I am getting this error:

I have installed Apache httpd and setup a SSL/TLS connection. SSL/TLS is working without a problem. I can clearly see httpS address in browser.
What I have found out that if browser gets some SSL/TLS error like trying to establish SSL/TLS connection with old protocol and web server refuses connection there is no error in SSL/TLS log recorded. I would like that every SSL/TLS attempt with error is recorded in ssl_error.log file. How to define settings in Apache config files to enable SSL/TLS error logging?
I have only tried to "switch on" the jail item "apache-badbots" and get a red box with:

Since a week ago or so, in one of our Plesk 12.0.18 / Centos 6.6 servers, when we create subdomains the process seems to stop half-way without being finished.
To reproduce the error:
Select a subscription (e.g. example.com) and go to "Domains and subdomains" Select "add new subdomain" and enter a value (e.g. new.example.com). The directory will live in parallel to httpdocs Click Accept
Expected result:
The subdomain should be created: Filesystem diirectory with default contents, DNS entry, Apache VirtualHost, etc.
Actual result:
After several minutes Plesk responds with Internal Errror (in a red area in the panel).
Things done right:
The file space in parallels with httpdocs is created fine with the default site. DNS entries are created under /var/named/chroot infrastructure. The subdomain menu appears fine in the Plesk panel.
Things wrong/missing:
The filesystem directory is not mapped by Apache. Even after changing its contents the default server templeate appears in the browser, (all precautions taken, apache restart, browser in private session and different browsers).
- /var/log/httpd/access_log records the access with 200 OK codes although I don't find them in neither subscription logs under /var/www/vhost/system/*/logs/access_log nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn - - [27/May/2015:18:38:35 +0200] "GET <deleted_content_in_the_subdomain_directory> HTTP/1.1" 200 14036 "http://<new_subdomain>" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0
I don't find the Apache VirtualHost .conf files for subdomains, where can I look for them up...
I created certificate and it appears to be working but I am always getting a cert error about a mismatched address. I have checked my settings and the certificate and host names match. It doesn't make sense. I have looked online at different forums and support sites but nothing has worked. The only thing I can think to do is to get a new cert. This cert is for an internal site only...
On our production service, we've been getting numerous malformed POST requests to some of our CGI scripts that are showing up as 500 errors in our logs. They are malformed in the sense that the actual content length doesn't match the Content-Length specified in the request.
Here's the most trivial example I can come up with that reproduces the problem for us:
In addition to the 500 error in the access log, we see the corresponding error in the error log:
(70014)End of file found: Error reading request entity data
Based on the nature of the POST request and the error response, it does appear that Apache is doing the right thing here.
The POST never actually makes it as far as the script being targeted (/some_valid_alias in the above example); in other words, Apache returns 500 to the client, writes the error to the error log and never executes the script.
Is there a way to capture/avoid internal Apache errors like 70014, and return some other HTTP status besides 500 (like 403)? It's particularly annoying in our case, because our server sends us an email for all 500 errors.
So far, our best "defense" against these 500 errors is to disallow POST for these aliases, which normally just ignore the POST data anyway (when the request is not malformed):
I have a tiny "webpage" in an Apache server running on my computer. I've got for it this .htaccess file: URL...I have written it by googling,.(I don't really know very much about Apache HTTPD, but my Java suite requires this stuff, so here I am). Supposedly the first paragraph is to avoid Google Chrome from caching my files and the second part (the Order sentences) are to allow anyone to view only those kinds of files (which is otherwise let them see everything but folder roots.
And here is the httpd.conf, which I've modified almost only to change the listen port, the server name, and to replace the AllowOverride None into AllowOverride All so that .htaccess is actually used (I've deleted the comments for readability).URL....
I had never heard of something similar, "I can only load one instance of each file". In explanation, the only html file there's, runs from time to time a PHP script. Let's say I run it on localhost for example. Then everything is going fine. But I open a new tab, and load the same page (while the another one is yet open), and I'll get a 412 HTTP error. Similar thing happens if I try to load the webpage from another device. And, with my little experience with Apache HTTPD, I guess it's because of this .htaccess or httpd.conf files. Why does this happen or how can I solve it (either it be or not related to one of these files, I'll do whatever is needed)?
Apache 2.2.22 which can be found [link URL....]here[/link] in Windows 8 x86.
have been handed a project to migrate a web page from our old Oracle OAS 10G server to a Oracle Weblogic llg server.
This page is manually deployed along with the web folder from a third-party Automic Applications Manager (formerly Appworx).
We are not using the default Apache server that ships with the product due to all the paperwork and configuration required to deploy it in a secure environment.
The old configuration is already approved to allow connection via our Oracle (Apache) webservers.
I can launch the page fine but when I call the .jsp file to launch it it opens the file instead of launching it (Windows 2008 server).
I've associated the file types, jsp and jnlp to javaws.exe. I found a reference in the old httpd.conf file and added this to the new httpd.conf file on the weblogic server. I also dug into the default install and found the same line. I've bounced the ohs to source this and it still opens instead of launches. How do I change this behavior?
Usually everything has been working fine with this .htaccess-file until today. There hasn't been any change on the system.
If you click on the hyperlink to the restricted area the login window appears where you need to type in your username and a password. After typing in these data the following message appears in the browser:
500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfigruation and was unable to complete your request. (…)
The apache error log file contains the following message:
Request exceeded the limit of 10 sub request nesting levels due to probable configuration error.
Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace.
The increase of the LimitInternalRecursion does not solve the problem. So I switched the LogLevel in the httpd.conf file from warn to debug and looked again on the entries of the error log.
The following appeared (I have replaced ip addresses, usernames and URL by xyz or <URL>) :
Code:
[error] [client xyz] mod_digest_apple: Client is using a nonce not issued by this server for this context:/rb/Vorlesung/WS12/Downloads/, referer: http:<URL>
Whenever am trying to post anything there server load increse upto 90 and Post takes so much time to publish.
and at that time sometime am getting this error
Error establishing the database connection

and am getting these error in my apache error logs

I have recently switched from Ubuntu to Mint because I would like to enjoy out of the box functionality. I installed Apache, PHP and Mysql. When I go to localhost, the page displays correctly indicating that the server is functioning. In /var/www/html I created devPages. In devPages I created a symlink to a directory in my home directory where I keep all of my html/php files.
When I point my browser to http://localhost/devPages/1/ I get "You don't have permission to access /devPages/1/ on this server". This appears to be a permissions/ownership issue. I don't want to change the permissions for the directory or files in the home directory because they are set to work properly on my production server. Is there a way to get apache to accept files in my home directory?
I have set owner and group for devPages and the symlink to www-data. Set permissions to 755 for devPages.
By the way, under Ubuntu, I have always used a symlink and it always worked without any issues.
I am sorry. We are not able to resolve the File Does Not Exist errors for you. You have to do it own.
The unique errors that you have today for Apache are as follows:
client sent HTTP/1.1 request without hostname (see RFC2616 section 14.23): /w00tw00t.at.ISC.SANS.DFind File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/501.shtml File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/images, referer: [url] File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/jailbreak-iphone-3-0-1-with-redsn0w File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/robots.txt Invalid method in request x16x03x01 Invalid method in request x80bx01x03x01 # Invalid URI in request alt="Follow%20via%20FreiendFFeed"%20title="Follow%20via%20FriendFeed"%20border="0"%20height="16"%20width="16"%20/>Home Top%20StuffiPhoneWindows%207FirefoxVistaTipsWordpressSubscribeSitemapAdvertise xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0Vertical1240899%20=%20false;ShowAdHereBanner1240899%20=%20true;RepeatAll1240899%20=%20false;NoFollowAll1240899%20=%20false;Ban nerStyles1240899%20=%20new%20Array(%20%20%20%20"a{display:block;font-size:11px;color: HTTP/1.1 PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/technob2/public_html/wp-includes/cache.php on line 93 PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/technob2/public_html/wp-includes/cache.php on line 93, referer: [url] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/technob2/public_html/wp-includes/cache.php on line 93, referer: [url] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/technob2/public_html/wp-includes/cache.php on line 93, referer: [url] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/technob2/public_html/wp-includes/cache.php on line 93, referer: [url] request failed: error reading the headers
I would advise that you resolve as many of these errors as you are able.
As to what caused the load on your server, I can't say. There is nothing in your logs to indicate the source of the problem. During the 1PM period when your server overloaded last there were only 29 errors in Apache. The errors that occurred during this time would not cause excessive load.
I have installed a script to monitor your server. If this load issue occurs again within one week or before your next reboot, whichever comes first, we should be able to determine the source from the script's logs in /var/log/sys-snap.sh.
It seems with the latest version of 2.2.24 I've had to change the ProxyPass address in http-virtualhosts to the actual address of the web server itself (Websphere / tomcat) and not the reversproxy (Apache). It seems like originally we had it looking like this more or less: ProxyPass / ajp://localhost:8009 but now have ProxyPass / ajp://webserverip:8009 and it's working that way. Which way is correct and if this isn't the correct way how do I fix this? I was getting 503 errors when it was connected to localhost (along with ajp errors) but I was able to telnet to the webserver on 8009 successfully.
