My friend introduce dragonara.net for me, but they don't support world of warcraft website.
Can you introduce one similar with dragonara ?
You can see details of dragonara provide

Budget: $120-175. Decent amount of IPs (32+ preferable)
Need it relatively soon.
GodsHost/Awknet is out of stock completely.
Staminus is out of stock except for $700 servers.
Gigeservers has a $150 setup fee that I don't really like, but if desperate, maybe.
Sharktech is **** and there is no way I will even consider them.
DDoS protected meaning nothing too large scale - I just need basic protection against 12 year olds that have pbots.
Any other ideas?
After being hit by a DDoS (managed to evade it for a while, but it's still painful due to downtimes) I'm looking for a DDoS-protected server somewhere in Europe. I don't care about the exact location, it just has to be outside Canada and the USA. I do not require a lot of traffic - using just about 1.5GBs per day, diskspace also is not an issue, so the main things is the DDoS protection, connection availability and the general level of service.
Searching through this forum, I've found the only possible option for a DDoS-protected being DataPipe (contacted and awaiting for a quote already). Have I missed something else? Are there any alternative good hosters with reliable networks and protection in the EU?
I am looking for a DDOS protected server ( IRC ).
What are your recommendations?
I already contacted Gige, but they are not answering.
At this moment server is with Theplanet, but their Cisco guard is not doing good job at all.
Server also used to be @ Softlayer, but they nullroute IP as soon as that specific IP is attacked.
I also looked @ Staminus, see that they offer up to 500mbps protection for $200 a month, which is okay, but i would like to see other options as well.
We are looking for dedicated server which ddos protection for IRC Hosting. Our budget is $170 USD/month with expect 128+ Ips.
View 8 Replies View RelatedAre there any places other than Staminus/Gige/Sharktech Awknet that can protect against small/basic bandwidth attacks (not application attacks, http floods, etc), 5-7Gbps+, occasional up to 10?
View 14 Replies View RelatedWhere can I get a DDoS protected shared plan?

2. Or dedicated server companies in Europe that can provide protection against this.
im hosted on futurehosting and truly they rock with gr8 support and instant services, 3-4 small sites but today whole day it was down due to apparently DDOS attack - as per my hosts response. read history here [url]
When i took FH i had done some research and thought its 100% managed VPS - i never knew its not proactive managed service etc! frankly i did ask on WHT and FH was the most recommended and truly they have lived up to it and i have no complains but just that maybe my requirement is a more proactive support service:-)
seems i need to move on - to som1 who can handle DDOS attacks + offer proactive monitoring which FH says it doesn't offer
1. LiquidWeb.com promises DDOS protections under their [url]
2. another option seems [url]
3. am told wiredtree would work well too for a complete newbie like me ?
am facing problem with my current host
high load and mysql crashed
am running 4images + vb which need special VPS
i need 1gb, 50gb space BW around 600/m
budget around $60/m
I'm about to start a premium VPN service provider, i've found that far too many people in this area are content with providing 100kb/s download speeds and poor reliablity, and think I can provide something better.
I'm currently evaluating options for the hosting i'll need. Initially i'd only be looking at 1 or 2 high bandwidth servers from a quality provider(in the US), on a monthly contract - obviously with the capacity to increase this as and when business becomes a little more established.
I've looked at 10tb.com, and a few uncapped 100Mb providers (Sharktech and others). Obviously I can see the 10tb cap on a gigabit port being a potentially expensive issue - how do they measure this bandwidth? I've noticed that several companies are now only counting the upload which would help me alot, is this standard? Additionally, and considering that i'm specifically NOT going to permit p2p usage in my TOS, would I be correct in assuming that providers will have no issue with this form of service over their network?
Finally, to the more experienced folk here, who would you choose... and why?! Given that i'm marketing this as a premium service, cost isn't the most important factor, but obviously it is one of the considerations.
I want to do a "near-lossless" video conversion, if that is even possible, in keeping the proportion of the original video. Veoh seems a little bit better / at a higher quality than youtube, and I want to achieve higher quality than that. Literally speaking, I want the converted flv video's quality to be as close as the original video. What ffmpeg command exactly do I need to achieve this? I currently use ClipShare and is experimenting with Ostube for the php script. The default "high-quality" setting for both scripts are not that good of a quality either, with choppy images.
View 4 Replies View Relatedit was quite a while since the last time i was using some of the shared/reseller hosts. As far as i can see, there's A BUNCH of new shared/reseller hosts here at WHT everyday. So i can't really distinguish what host to choose.
This shared account will be used to host just one site/one domain. The site is very light, diskspace and traffic can be very low. It can be plesk or cpanel control panel. Linux OS, PHP5.
What i'm actually looking for is a European host WITHOUT overselling, with high quality bandwith and uptime, accepting paypal/moneybookers payments. This website does not require a lot of traffic, less than 1gig a month, but it really needs to be fast europe bandwith with HIGH uptime.
The host does not need to be years in business, it can be new host as long as the quality of service is very high.
There are no price limits, as far as the price justify what host has to offer.
I've looked at some shared offers from europe hosts in which i usually rent dedi's, such as leaseweb, netrouting, eurovps, hetzner... Does anyone have experience with their shared hosting offers?
quality shared hosting solution for a WordPress-powered multi user blog. The blog currently has around 1000 posts, 5000 comments and around 2000 unique visitors every day, but those numbers will grow grow exponentially in future, so the hosting in question needs to be expandable since I will eventually have to move to a dedicated server.
Right now, however, I want a quality US-based hosting company that has good connection to EU, with fast support and basic features: PHP5, MySQL5, shell access, ~10GB HD space and ~50-100GB traffic.
First and foremost I am looking for quality and am prepared to pay as much as $25-30 per month.
I know this is the Web Hosting Forums; but I'm hoping you guys can help me out with a related problem:
I am looking for a good, high quality email host. My wishes/requirements:
- IMAP [required]
- SSL encryption [required]
- Good, server-side filtering/sorting [required]
- Procmail/Sieve [both pluses]
- Hosting on an OSS stack [a plus]
- No bandwidth limits [1]
- No message transfer limits [2]
[1] I have 350-400 Mb of email stored at the moment, and I take backups. I hear good things about Fastmail; but I fear their bandwidth limits wouldn't cut it, even at the Enhanced plan (three backups, and it'd be done, basically).
[2] I am not referring to attachment/message size limits. I mean caps on how many messages I send or receive in a given timeframe. If the limits are really high (in this, Fastmail is fine), then I don't mind. But I've seen some hosts that have pretty low ones. Subscribe to a couple mailing lists and...poof.
I currently am running an email server on a VPS (Postfix/Dovecot/Procmail). But if anyone has any suggestions, I'd really like to hear them.
I have seen number of web host with poor performance gain allot of sales.
number of ppl complaining on wht about such host.
I wonder how come customer go there, and how come they have such large sales, on other hand I saw some quality web host with fewer clients?
I have been trying to identify why mi server has high load cpu, suddenly CPU load suddenly jumps, from 1 to 40 and until 110
If I restart mysqld and apache, the cpu gets back to normal, until this happen again
My server is
GenuineIntel, Intel(R)Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz
VersionParallels Plesk Panel v11.0.9_build110120608.16 os_CentOS 6
CentOS 6.4 (Final)
CentOS 6 x64 Processor: Intel Core i5 - 3.10 GH
I already installed FAIL2BAN and DDOS DEFLATE without lock. I have CloudFlare Enabled.
When there is a high CPU load, I have checked netstats, and I don't identify many ips connected, so I think it could be an internet script (or virus).
I will paste the result of
ps fax
command, in a moment of high cpu load
A client wants to FTP some files to my server but I don't want him to see/have access to all the other stuff on the server. Is there a way that I can 'corden-off' an area for him to FTP stuff to? A password protected area perhaps?

We have a dedicated server with huge application that use intensively one database and we notice that we block at 15000 people / days ... our website is arkadia.com
So my questions are :
* is the server can be full and this why we block at 15000 people / days ? most important, how to check it ?
* is the DNS (enom.com DNS server) can be not fast enalf or not wheel configured ? how to check it ?
* is the hosting company can be not good enalf (low bandwith for exemple or someting else)? again how to check it ?
I have a cPanel server with 4GB RAM
My server hangs time to time, once or twice a day. This is the last status when it happens.
Server Load 75.90 (2 cpus)
Memory Used 92 %
Swap Used 65.78 %
When I was still inside SSH when it happens, the processes I can see inside "top" are a lot of httpd processes.
So I "killall -9 httpd", I had to do it 30~40 times
#killall -9 httpd
#killall -9 httpd
#killall -9 httpd
x 30~40 times until no pid process found & the server load is back to normal.
Before that, I check httpd fullstatus, they look very normal, same goes to what I see inside WHM Apache status & cpu usage status.
At first I thought it was a memory problem after consulting with a server admin, so I replaced all 4GB new ram stick (such a waste)
My server is very slow, High CPU, High Apache load....
I got a new server and i had setup a script on it.
No server tweaks has been done.
I run a filehosting site so it gets very slow when traffic is high.

I dont know much about server managment...
how to fix this so server doesnt go slow?
I have a site that is eating up my server resources and need to know what the best solution for this is. I'm thinking of getting another server just for mysql but do not know what specs the server should be to handle the current traffic/database load and have the site run smoothly without slowing down to a snail's pace.
An alternative is to get another server just for the videos being served and leave the database and html on the current server. This is where I'm stuck and don't know what route to take with this.
My current server stats:
Dual Xeon 5130
4GB RAM
250GB
50 Mbit/sec
CentOS 3.9
Website traffic stats:
15,000 visitors/day
150,000 pageviews/day
Serving videos
I've attached screenshots of top and bandwidth usage per day. Hopefully with this information you could tell me if I need another server or if there are any things I can do to the current server to help things move faster.
Requires a dedicated server in Europe.
Requirements:
1) Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2,2 GHz;
2) RAM: 2024 MB DDRAM;
3) Hard Drive: 2x 250 GB SATA (can be smaller);
4) Traffic: At least 1000 GB or unrestricted;
5) Port: 100 Mbit / sec. (ideally 1000 Mbit / sec.);
6) IP-Addresses: 2.
Mandatory conditions:
1) A great date-center;
2) Operational and anglophone support;
3) Ability to establish a panel, for example: ISPmanager.
Recommended requirements:
1) Protection against DDoS-attacks;
2) The ability to administer the server, a company that provides services to lease (regular updates, round-the-clock monitoring, etc.).
The server is designed for the site, which will:
1) Forum;
2) Video and audio materials (up to 20 spots, for up to 10 minutes each), which can be viewed directly on the site using flash-player or download. Clips will not be frequently changed or supplemented;
3) Downloading developed software, up to 0.5 Mb;
4) Download documentation formats: DOC and PDF, up to 2 Mb;
All audio, video and documentation for its own production.
Additional information:
The number of visitors, initially to 10000 per month (probably much less or slightly more, not yet known) The audience will be visitors from the following countries: Ukraine, Russia, Poland, UK, Germany, France, USA and Canada.
Budget:
up to $ 200 a month. But if such amount is not sufficient for the entry requirements, are ready to revise the budget.
Need a really high-quality channel of communication and operational support, etc. Perhaps for these tasks, you recommend other requirements to a server and placing the territory? Check your real council.
Also look in the direction of affordable rental server and utilization of services: Akamai Technologies. If someone has experience working with Akamai, I ask, share their views. Should I use it for such a project?
A lot of information has been revised to servers in Germany, UK and USA. But the single answer, yet to be found.
Prior to installing FFmpeg and its dependencies, I want to know about FFmpeg server-side conversion without the php script. Does it require those php scripts in the first place or I can just run an ssh command?
Also, does this FFmpeg have a configuration file in which you can set the quality of the converted .fla videos?
How about a lossless quality conversion and keeping the size proportion of the video the same?
Meaning, for example, from .avi to .fla without sacrificing/loosing the quality much or noticeably.
Firewall settings are great for preventing Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, however it may not always be your only solution. The day has finally arrived when I found this excellent module called mod_dosevasive (DoS Evasive) which keeps track of how many requests each client makes to your server within intervals. If a client is being forceful with your server and making too many requests, then it is more than likely not just a web browser but some automated process unleashed on your site to try and take it down.
This handy Apache module we have found takes care of these issues. Let's get started by setting it up.
it's come under my attention that dragonara.net has been ddosing me today since morning from the ip:
194.8.75.229
What's so ironic about it is that the ip is from a UK DDOS protection site so i'm expecting some email with their services in the next hour or so. Stay clear of them they are fakes and e-terrorists.
I was wondering if it would be advisable to use the Password Protected Directory option in cPanels to limit part of my website to no more than 1,000 paying customers (yearly subsciption). Can cPanels handle this? Would accessing .htaccess and .htpassword to authenticate be too slow? Would management become too much? Has anyone attempted this? Are there any good alternatives such as open source programs? I've looked and found a few that are expensive and do way more than what I need.
