After being hit by a DDoS (managed to evade it for a while, but it's still painful due to downtimes) I'm looking for a DDoS-protected server somewhere in Europe. I don't care about the exact location, it just has to be outside Canada and the USA. I do not require a lot of traffic - using just about 1.5GBs per day, diskspace also is not an issue, so the main things is the DDoS protection, connection availability and the general level of service.
Searching through this forum, I've found the only possible option for a DDoS-protected being DataPipe (contacted and awaiting for a quote already). Have I missed something else? Are there any alternative good hosters with reliable networks and protection in the EU?
1. towards blocking a very large upscale DDoS attack coming from a large botnet. Physical firewall will not help, due to the attack still entering the network, thus causing trouble for the companies other clients.
2. Or dedicated server companies in Europe that can provide protection against this.
Are there any places other than Staminus/Gige/Sharktech Awknet that can protect against small/basic bandwidth attacks (not application attacks, http floods, etc), 5-7Gbps+, occasional up to 10?
Hello, I want to buy a dedicate server which support DDOS,ACK,SYN .....
I can provide 500usd most
My friend introduce dragonara.net for me, but they don't support world of warcraft website. Can you introduce one similar with dragonara ? You can see details of dragonara provide
dragonara.net/ddos-protection.html

GodsHost/Awknet is out of stock completely. Staminus is out of stock except for $700 servers. Gigeservers has a $150 setup fee that I don't really like, but if desperate, maybe. Sharktech is **** and there is no way I will even consider them.
DDoS protected meaning nothing too large scale - I just need basic protection against 12 year olds that have pbots.
im hosted on futurehosting and truly they rock with gr8 support and instant services, 3-4 small sites but today whole day it was down due to apparently DDOS attack - as per my hosts response. read history here [url]
When i took FH i had done some research and thought its 100% managed VPS - i never knew its not proactive managed service etc! frankly i did ask on WHT and FH was the most recommended and truly they have lived up to it and i have no complains but just that maybe my requirement is a more proactive support service:-)
seems i need to move on - to som1 who can handle DDOS attacks + offer proactive monitoring which FH says it doesn't offer
1. LiquidWeb.com promises DDOS protections under their [url]
2. another option seems [url]
3. am told wiredtree would work well too for a complete newbie like me ?
I'm looking for a dedicated server for webhosting business. The server should have atleast 1Tb HD space and it should be in EU region. The best prices I've found so far are from hetzner.de. Can you recommed other ones?
I'm specifically looking for a server in the European area since I am from South Africa.
The reason being they will be more or less in the same timezone as I am and they also generally provide the fastest ping times (220ms to a server in Europe as opposed to 350ms to a server in USA).
I will be using the server as our own hosting space and hopefully be able to rent a monthly license for Parallels Plesk so that I may be able to resell hosting space - this is the primary reason for the dedicated server. I would like to know whether getting at least a quad core for this setup is essential or if I can get away with a dual core (in the case of hosting say 50 - 100 different websites).
So far I have been looking at keyweb.de which has a dual-core setup at 79euro installation fee and 49euro monthly fee. Their quad-core setup is 99euro installation and 59euro monthly. One drawback is it seems that they don't install Ubuntu linux (which is the OS i'm after). Another one is that their website isn't very intuitive - I cannot see whether it is possible to bundle Plesk with my order. I do however like the fact that they generally allow torrents.
actually I have my dedicated server with ThePlanet since many years ago, where I'm really happy, but due to recent spanish laws, I need to move everything to a european dedicated server as ThePlanet isn't certificated at the "Safe Harbor directive".
What I'm looking for, is a serius company (no reseller company) with similar dedicated servers configurations. What I'm looking for is also a 1Gbps uplink connection. Bandwith is not so important, as my monthly bandwidth is only about 300Gb.
I've seen very fast (connection) servers in Netherland but don't know how serious they are.
OVH (apparently) looks also fine, but I've read very bad reviews about them.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a company that could provide a reasonably priced, reliable, unmanaged server for me somewhere in western europe?
I'll need a reasonable amount of bandwidth, so this is a consideration.
I'm based in the UK, but willing to look at other, more digitally enlightened countries nearby (Norway, Finland, France, Germany, etc) to get a better price since servers are very expensive here.
The server be hosting a big AJAX application so latency is a consideration also.
1) Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2,2 GHz; 2) RAM: 2024 MB DDRAM; 3) Hard Drive: 2x 250 GB SATA (can be smaller); 4) Traffic: At least 1000 GB or unrestricted; 5) Port: 100 Mbit / sec. (ideally 1000 Mbit / sec.); 6) IP-Addresses: 2.
Mandatory conditions: 1) A great date-center; 2) Operational and anglophone support; 3) Ability to establish a panel, for example: ISPmanager.
Recommended requirements: 1) Protection against DDoS-attacks; 2) The ability to administer the server, a company that provides services to lease (regular updates, round-the-clock monitoring, etc.).
The server is designed for the site, which will:
1) Forum; 2) Video and audio materials (up to 20 spots, for up to 10 minutes each), which can be viewed directly on the site using flash-player or download. Clips will not be frequently changed or supplemented; 3) Downloading developed software, up to 0.5 Mb; 4) Download documentation formats: DOC and PDF, up to 2 Mb; All audio, video and documentation for its own production.
Additional information:
The number of visitors, initially to 10000 per month (probably much less or slightly more, not yet known) The audience will be visitors from the following countries: Ukraine, Russia, Poland, UK, Germany, France, USA and Canada.
Budget: up to $ 200 a month. But if such amount is not sufficient for the entry requirements, are ready to revise the budget.
Need a really high-quality channel of communication and operational support, etc. Perhaps for these tasks, you recommend other requirements to a server and placing the territory? Check your real council.
Also look in the direction of affordable rental server and utilization of services: Akamai Technologies. If someone has experience working with Akamai, I ask, share their views. Should I use it for such a project?
A lot of information has been revised to servers in Germany, UK and USA. But the single answer, yet to be found.
which DC have the real ddos Protection for website in US or EURO? gige, awk and staminus only can Protection IRC. and gige Protect application based attacks need $1500/month. and i think it is not a good idea. it is too much money. and i am worried it is not useful.
china have the real ddos Protection. but some website can not host in china.
2 x Xeon 2.8Ghz // good Core 2 Duo/Quad 2GB RAM // 3-4 150 GB SATA
And connection... normally we use around 15 Mb at peaks/day but recently we got attacking by DDoS above 100 Mb.
We need some true protection or resisting on port 1 Gbps before attackers got bored. No protection via null routing (like 'the planet' like to 'protect').
staminus.net want 800$ for this/month. We can afford around 500$/month.
I need dedi server hosting with ddos protetion in Hong Kong datacenter that could also provide ddos protection/mitigation service. Preferably the network can provide good latency within my database server in my country-Singapore.
Does anyone have any suggestion for good company there?
I'm looking for a host that specializes in DDoS protection. The ideal server would have decent ram (2GB),high traffic speeds, not much disk space, only around 10 GB at tops and of course 24/7 uptime with live support.
does anyone know any good hosting companies in europe. Preferably London or around England and has had previous experience or any knowledge about them, as well as pricing.
A client wants to FTP some files to my server but I don't want him to see/have access to all the other stuff on the server. Is there a way that I can 'corden-off' an area for him to FTP stuff to? A password protected area perhaps?
Best Dedicated Hosting for Anti DDOS - Please Help!
Our website has been coming under attack for the last 6 months. Usually every weekend for 3 days. We are currently hosting at ThePlanet and they do nothing more than turn on Cysco Guard which blocks the bad traffic and the good traffic as well. They don't do anything on their level to block the ddos attack.
I contacted the guys at ProxyShield and they want $1244 a month to route the traffic for us. That's a bit high for someone with a small business not making more than $500 a week online. EDIT: Just got back in touch with them and the $1244 is only for 20mb if you need 100mb it's $2400! that's just insane for a small business.
My question to you guys is who can host us or what services can I use to get rid of these ddos attacks? The Planet has horrible support and I'm not sure where to go or look. Unless we sit at the computer and block every inbound attack all day we simply can't beat it.
Any suggestions?? Currently they are sending SYN_FLOODs in the amount of 93MBit/s and our hosting only includes 100MBit/s, so you can guess how difficult it is to maintain reach ability.
