View 8 RepliesHow do we set our Plesk VPS so that when someone logs in as root, we will receive an email. It's on a VZ node.

Is there any way to check or stop this misuse?
I was wondering how to change the notification destination email for alerts sent by Plesk Health Monitor?
I tried to modify the XML configuration file with this at the beginning:
<Misc alarmsInterval="5">
<notificationEmail address="mydestinationemail@domain.com"/>
</Misc>
But it doesn't work.
Simple... new Plesk 12 includes this fancy feature to tell me which Wordpress plugins and themes need updating (because I obviously can't do this myself). But maybe I don't want to update some plugins (because they've been customized and changed)... how do I....
STOP Plesk 12 from sending me Wordpress update notification emails EVERY DAY!???? The auto-update is off... and EVERY day is sends me (and all of those clients) an ugly email about their Wordpress installations. How do I turn this OFF?
I need to sending health notification emails to another email.
I change admin : /usr/local/psa/bin/init_conf --update -email xxx@xxx.xx
Admin change, but health notification email not change.
I've got limited knowledge in scripting so I've come to the interweb for help. Google hasn't answered any of my queries so the trusty WHT is next.
I'm trying to create a script cron that will email my clients once per month with space and bandwidth useage reminders. I'd prefer not to have to set up crons in each individual account, but rather email all with tokening including |name| |bandwidth| |space| out of the allowed space & bandwidth according to the clients package.
any hosts that can provide the following:
PHP5.3 +
MySQL
CRON (to run daily/weekly scripts at a certain time)
Mass Email. The scripts will send emails to a number of users(between 10-100 at first, but may grow) and this will be done daily and weekly.
In the past, I've tended to go with SupaNames or FastHosts but looking at their solutions for this, it's not quite right for my requirements.
I setup my cron job run daily and it automatically sends email to root@server.mydomain.com after it done. How do i setup forward email from root@server.mydomain.com to my gmail or other external email provider ? That means every time if root@server.mydomain.com receive email than my other maail will get that email too.

I'm running rsync in cron jobs. is there a way to be notified via email when the job is done plus the log? I'd really like to know how long it's taking to complete and whether it's running properly or not.
View 12 Replies View Relatedi have just start my own dedicated server for two weeks, after some system migration, i expect the hosting will provide mail server for customer to send system notifications.
but the hosting finally didn't provide, my OS is windows 2003 R2,
What do you guys use for server monitoring?
I have been looking to find a good solution to notify me when either of my 3 servers go down. Preferably by SMS.
I have been trying [url].
But it seems to have a massive delay. from 1 hour, to 6 hours.
Is there some way to trigger a script or send an email if someone from a specified IP or IP range (e.g. 125.125.125.%) accesses an account, or any URL on the server? Perhaps by placing something within .htaccess or httpd.conf or something of that nature.
For instance, an email "$IP is visiting the URI $REQUEST_URI" would be sent, or a PHP script that sends the email would be triggered (though in that case, I'd need some way to tell the script the IP and URI).
And in a related matter, is there any way (perhaps some existing software) to filter the access logs of an account to find all requests by a certain IP address?
I am reading the plesk documentation about "Tags Used in Notification Messages". URL....It says that one can use a <password> tag which will show the user's password ("user's password for authorization in Plesk").How can Plesk show a password? I would assume all passwords are saved as hashes and not as plain text?

I have a trial key, running Plesk 12 on Windows 2012 R2.I have disabled the notification emails in Plesk (or at least I thought I had), but keep getting an email about a running task called "push_worker.php". I get this so often, it's filling up my inbox.Is there a hidden box somewhere that I've missed to disable these emails?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs described in the title I need a paid monitoring service which provides sms alerts and tells SoftLayer immediately so they can investigate the issue and make what needed to bring the server online.
I like hyperspin.com service but it looks there is no way to send SoftLayer an automated notification because there is a need to open a ticket.
I can't be attendant at my office 24 hours so I need this service which alerts me with sms about the fail and simultaneously tells my provider so my server will not be down for a long time.
The premium antivirus when enabled it automatically sends notifications to both sender and server admin. I wish to disable the the notification to the sender and also only send a summary email weekly to the admin.
