how everyone else approaches DKIM and DomainKeys.
I'm starting to see a lot of implementations now and have recently started adding DKIM and DomainKeys verification to my outbound mail.
Two things strike me:
1) The number of DKIM users also adding DomainKeys
2) The number of DKIM and DomainKeys signed domains that remain in test mode. Example, Yahoo! and Amazon.
My questions:
Do you still use both DKIM and DomainKeys? If so, why?
Do you leave your domain in test mode? Or are you fully confident of your implementation?
Currently I support both, but dropping DomainKeys seems like the right thing to do, DKIM is the way forward, so can anyone tell me why I should still do DomainKeys? Is backward compatibility important?
Interested to hear others opinions.
I recently realized that domainkeys headers are not added to mail messages that are generated on our server. We are using MailEnable Enterprise 8.60 (upgraded on the Stardart edition, that is installed with Plesk).
I thought the problem could be related with this upgrade and created a new VM and tried that out. Installed Windows Server 2012 R2 Std, enabled DNS and IIS with ASP.NET versions, applied all updates, installed Plesk 12 and Upgraded to MailEnabled Enterprise. On the new server mails are going with the correct domainkeys headers.
Now I think that the problem was generated because of the Migration. On the old server Plesk 11.5 was installed and we didn't have any domainkeys issues. When we created our new server, with the same steps I wrote below, and migrated our backup to the new server, domainkeys headers weren't there anymore.
I couldn't find any documentation about this issue. Is there any commands to reset the settings related to domainkeys or may be it's a curruption in the psd database?
How to configure DKIM (Domain Keys Identified mail) on plesk? I am not talking about configuring Domain keys( already done), but Domain Keys Identified Mail.

So, I have been searching everywhere online and have not come to a fully working conclusion with the issue regarding outgoing emails going to spam via gmail, hotmail, etc.Domain keys are activated, but it seems that domain keys is deprecated, making it useless when it comes to spam detection for email servers such as google, aol, etc.
The only alternative found was here: URL.....But that means that every customers DKIM will have to be created manually via command line. This would be a mission when having over 500+ ongoing customers signing up.Will you guys be implementing DKIM automation for Plesk? I am pretty much against trying to use c(p)anel + Centos and just love Plesk. So I prefer Plesk any day..
Is it possible to know how can I setup the DKIM default for each domains without manually activate it each time?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having complains from our clients that their mails are always going to spam folders istead of inbox. I decided to have some tests and find out problems which couse the issue and solve them. We have PTR records correctly, Our IPs and domain names are not listed in any blacklists, And I checked "Use DomainKeys" checkbox for all our domains in mail settings.
These were all good and thought that all works well untill I ran a test on [URL].....
I opened a mail file (.MAI) and copied all content (with headers, contents and all) to that site and got a result like;
pts rule name description
---- ---------------------- ---------------------------------------------------
0.0 RCVD_IN_DNSWL_NONE RBL: Sender listed at http://www.dnswl.org/, no trust
[95.108.252.17 listed in list.dnswl.org]
0.0 URIBL_BLOCKED ADMINISTRATOR NOTICE: The query to URIBL was blocked.
[Code] ....
The 3rd line from the last confused me. "Message has a DKIM or DK signature, not necessarily valid" and "DKIM-Signature header exists but is not valid" parts of that report put a question in mind. Does the "Use DomainKeys" checkbox in the Plesk Panel really working? I mean, it creates all the DNS entries and all, but the email message is starting with a line "DomainKey-Status: no signature" and that supports the 2nd line from the last in that report.
The question is, what should I do to make DomainKeys work as it should? I am using the latest 11.5.30 Update #23 of Plesk Panel for Windows on a Windows 2012 Standart server with MainEnable Enterprise Premium. Enterprise version of MainEnable also has DKIM settings available for all the domains in its own panel, but it's disabled because I didn't set anything in there.
My servers have issue when send email to yahoo. I found out something like my server have to use Domainkeys for send email to yahoo mail.
I'm using CentOS 5.1 64Bit, Cpanel 11.
recomplie exim with Domainkeys support?
Wondered if anyone out there would like to share their experience, if any, of setting up cpanel to work with domainkeys via exim.
Hopefully anyone reading this thread will know by now what domainkeys are and how it affects the delivering of email to most major email providers inboxes rather than spam/bulk folders.
antispam.yahoo.com/domainkeys
The domainkeys support for exim is now in the 'experimental' phase:
duncanthrax.net/exim-experimental/
(page allegedly updated on 30th Oct, 06)
However cpanel themselves seem to be dragging their feet a little with implementing it:
bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=4099
This is understandable considering support for domainkeys is not yet part of the main exim core code, and thus is likely to change. From what I've been reading elsewhere, re-compiling and upgrading exim is not advisable with cpanel.
My knowledge of exim (and cpanel TBH) is limited however, and I was wondering what might be the implications of *ahem* hacking it a little in order to enable domainkeys.
SPF records alone just don't seem to cut it anymore.
I am having a problem with the installation of DomainKeys on my server.
I have a dedicated server from Hosting Matters and I have DomainKeys installed for another domain on the same server.
The problem that i'm running into is that I have a domain that is an addon account of another (basically hosted within a sub-directory of another account).
When I install DomainKeys via the cPanel I get no errors. It "appears" to work fine HOWEVER when I check the headers in Yahoo I get the following:
Authentication-Results: mta215.mail.re2.yahoo.com from=paperboyllc.com; domainkeys=permerror (no key)
Received: from 63.247.138.128 (EHLO ws1.wpdnsgroup.com) (63.247.138.128)
by mta215.mail.re2.yahoo.com with SMTP; Mon, 04 Aug 2008 21:27:03 -0700
DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=default; d=paperboyllc.com;
h=Received:To:Subject:Date:From:X-Mailer:MIME-Version:Content-Type:Message-Id:X ...
I have both sendmail and postfix installed. Which Should I install?
DK-MILTER-1.0.0?
or DKFILTER?
My server has plesk 12 with Ubuntu.The problem I have is that the messages go with a valid domain keys signature, but without the DKIM signature.I'm not using opendkim.

how to set DKIM and Domain Keys on centos 5.2 with cPanel?
1. as my friend is using it for an IPB forum, some of his mails r rejected to especially
2 famous email providers, on research found, they are checking with DKIM or domain keys to verify the mails..
I came to know from some where tht domain keys aren't updated any more, so is it safe to use the last available release and is it bug free?
2. Can we add both DKIM and Domain Keys for the mails been sent on the server?
3. how to add them,
Does anyone know if it is possible to implement DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) on a Linux server that uses cPanel/Exim? I am interested in getting this implemented but not sure how, or if it's even possible yet on my setup.
View 14 Replies View RelatedTrying install DKIM on a RHEL4 Box with no control panel and only one domain on the box. Let's call it DOMAINNAME.COM with IP 999.99.99.99
DKIM seems fine, but I have having difficulties with the DNS portion.
DNS is NOT handled by this box. I have DNS control on another box for this box.
I have successfully installed the following SPF Record in the DNS Zone File:
DOMAINNAME.COM. IN TXT "v=spf1 a mx ptr ip4:999.99.99.99 mx:mail.DOMAINNAME.COM -all"
From the [url]I need to add another line to the zone file. So I added:
dktest._domainkey IN TXT "k=rsa; t=y; p=MFwwDQYJKoZIhvcNAQEBBQADSwAwSAJBAMK+ItLAy3VWNhuZHZ/iF51.....
zeZnksVUnGtk224tQASKXijuHTyhptKdpedvH+TWESeTUFgzZWjEFGcCAwEAAQ=="
It then says you can run "dig +short dktest._domainkey.DOMAINNAME.COM txt" and receive the results. Everytime I run it, it returns nothing. I have even waited 24 hours and still get blank returns.
Since DNS is on another server, would this "dktest._domainkey" section need to be changed to "dktest._domainkey.DOMAINNAME.COM"?
Can I run both the Domainkey record and SPF record together?
