CPanel/Email :: Message 1LAXsU-0003SE-0T Is Not Frozen
Dec 12, 2008
Delivery attempt for Message ID 1LAXsU-0003SE-0T
Code:
Message 1LAXsU-0003SE-0T is not frozen
LOG: MAIN
cwd=/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot 4 args: /usr/sbin/exim -v -M 1LAXsU-0003SE-0T
delivering 1LAXsU-0003SE-0T
LOG: MAIN
== *@yahooo.co.uk R=lookuphost defer (-1): host lookup did not complete
I'm not sure what would be causing that...
I edited /etc/resolv.conf so it contained my name servers:
Code:
nameserver *.*.*.229
nameserver *.*.*.230
basically, emails are not getting sent out.

I have a client who could not send email to another domain, it didn't bounce just disappeared.
When I look in the exim_mainlog, the message in question wind up frozen after getting this error:
smtp transport process returned non-zero status 0x000e: terminated by signal 14

??? Dissapeared
It never warned the user as said it dissapeared, I have checked exim_mainlog and have found other cases to different domains that maybe the users have not reported but they were lost too.
I tried /scripts/eximup --force and that didn't fix it.

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its recipients after more than 72 hours on the queue on server.blablablabla.com
Im recieving this kind of errors from some domains of this server...
Im using cPanel + RHEL 3.
Looking at the logs I found this:
23.red-88-22-154.staticip.rima-tde.net (lista@domain.info) [88.22.xxx.xx] is currently not permitted to relay through this server. Perhaps you have not logged into the pop/imap server in the last 30 minutes or do not have SMTP Authentication turned on in your email client.
And SMTP authentication is enabled at the mail client.

I have noticed on my two dedicated servers logs that some emails just dissapear after being frozen for days in queue and there is no notice or warning sent to the sender.
Please check your logs and tell me if I am wrong, just check for non-zero on your exim_mainlog
grep non-zero /var/log/exim_mainlog
and then grep your messageId
grep 1K17WW-0002so-Sn /var/log/exim_mainlog

I have a dedicated server with godaddy (I know) and have used a pre-installed mail server product to host a few email accounts. Nothing fancy. My mail server is required to relay through godaddy's servers. A few of my users began complaining about email bounces - specifically "554 message refused". I opened a support ticket 2 weeks ago.
Initially godaddy insisted that the emails contained suspicious phishing links - which they didn't. I incrementally stripped the content of the emails and discovered that it was two simple characters that caused the bounce - left and right square brackets []. I presented this information to godaddy and their response was:
"When sending emails in the future, please make sure that these two brackets are not placed in succession to avoid the email from being bounced"
The problem is that my users are trying to forward or respond to email with embedded content that sometimes contains []. I cannot expect them to strip down their emails.
While acknowledging this issue, godaddy has refused to correct it. Sorry for long-winded explanation but I'm interested in some of your feedback - Does this policy make sense? Why can't they correct it?

we regularly get this message in boxmail of adress used to send email from server. This is the mail system at host DOMAIN.fr. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message. The mail system
<1@SERVERNAME.HOSTER.com> (expanded from <1>): User unknown in virtual
alias table
If i look in maillog i see that :
May 18 16:48:52 SERVERNAME postfix/error[22737]: F22521B4E45: to=<1@SERVERNAME.HOSTER.com>, orig_to=<1>, relay=none, delay=0.07, delays=0.04/0.01/0/0.02, dsn=5.0.0, status=bounced (User unknown in virtual alias table)
Just after that we can see email go normally :
May 18 16:48:59 SERVERNAME postfix/smtp[22736]: F22521B4E45: to=<EMAIL@DOMAIN.com>, relay=mx3.mail.icloud.com[17.158.8.50]:25, delay=7.3, delays=0.04/0.03/2.4/4.8, dsn=2.5.0, status=sent (250 2.5.0 Ok.)
The problem is in error message (at top) the message attached is the one sent to EMAIL@DOMAIN.com. So we can think the message is not sent to EMAIL@DOMAIN.com. SERVERNAME, HOSTER and EMAIL@DOMAIN are here to mask real data.
OS: Debian 7.7
Plesk version: 12.0.18 Update #46

The Outgoing Mail Control feature is working fine. One missing option with this feature is to view the contents of blocked messages. Unfortunately, sometimes a site gets hacked and is sending spam. which are over the message sending limit, to try to find out where the message came from.
The current problem is that the email message contents of the limitation warning with subject "Attempts to exceed outgoing limits for domains, mail boxes and subscriptions." is not correct. Somehow it only contains the text: date.timezone = "Europe/Amsterdam" (which is a PHP setting) instead of a descriptive message. I hoped it would contain the blocked message contents or some useful text. Can I change the contents of this message to the what is should be? And what should it be?
It looks like a problem I had ones before where the custom PHP settings at the hosting packages level and at the domains level where replaced with some other kind of settings string. But solved by just changing the custom PHP settings

My hosting company is telling me that I have getting frozen processes on my VPS that is causing apache to stop responding.
My VPS is CentOS, with 512 megs of memory and my website is a Vbulletin forum. I have several add-ons installed on vbulletin, and if one of those are causing the problem, how do I figure it out?
When http stops responding, I can access the server with putty on ssh. Running the "top" command, it shows that I still have 100+ megs of memory free and the processor is barely being used.
This has happened twice in just 2 - 3 days. This morning, I asked my hosting company what can be causing this, but no answer so far.

my host recently moved me over to hspcomplete billing. during this there must have been some change to teh configuration of my server, which has made it a little unhappy.
what happens is that processes get "stuck" and after some time start using up 20-30% cpu, and bring the server loads incredibly high.
my host is having issues trying to figure out whats wrong... was hopign someone here could help.
examples, as of right now (before the load goes insanely high):
30010 mysql 15 0 42288 29m 3096 S 0 0.2 35:49.91 mysqld
3773 nobody 15 0 41520 28m 4032 S 0 0.2 0:21.99 httpd
3774 nobody 16 0 40476 28m 3956 S 0 0.2 0:21.06 httpd
3775 nobody 16 0 40332 27m 3572 S 0 0.2 0:17.05 httpd
3777 nobody 15 0 40004 27m 3696 S 0 0.2 0:16.46 httpd
3778 nobody 16 0 43392 31m 3760 S 0 0.3 0:26.57 httpd
thats right NOW. if i check again in an hour or so, those httpd's will have been running for the full 1.5 hours, and start using 30% cpu, and my load will be sky high.

I getting error from cpanel now about possible hard drive failure.First it was only secondary disk,so i send request to support to ask them why is that happening and they said it is just temperature warning, but they still checked disk.Testing took 3 hours, and support said everything is ok.
But now i start to receive again that message, and now not just secondary disk, also primary disk.So what should i do,should i just ignore that error considering now is summer and it's hot or contact support again?I am in that dilema beacuse if support will test disk that require offline testing and means server will be down again, and now even longer beacuse of both disk warning, and again if they realy fail then i will lost all data and experience much longer downtime.
Here is message which i getting: ...
